Aesthetic Characteristics of Fashion in the Transitional Period of the 21s1 Century(Part II) -Quantitative Study- (21세기로의 전환기에 표현된 패션의 미학적 특성(제2보) -정량분석을 중심으로-)

  • Based on the qualitative analysis regarding five dominant characteristics of fashion in the transitional period of the 21s1 century, subsequent quantitative analysis was conducted and the following results were obtained. First, it was found that 85% of the clothes analyzed showed these five characteristics. Secondly, among the five characteristics, the new-naturalism shows the most significant trend and neo-retro was also found as one of the leading features along with the new-naturalism in the transitional period of the 21 st century. However, the frequency of technicism is less than was expected. Thirdly, analysis of the distribution of fashion characteristics according to fashion designers and seasonal changes show that new-naturalism, neo-retro and hybrid spread relatively evenly among each designer. The quantitative study confined the results obtained through the qualitative study.

Consumers's Distrust for Discounting Claims and Purchase Intention for Apparel Products (의류 제품의 할인판매에 대한 소비자의 불신과 구매의도에 관한 연구)

  • This study investigated the factors that influence consumers' distrust and consumers purchase intention for discounting, specifically discounting of clothes. Through literature, discounting rate, retailer type and brand reputation were identified as influencing factors and were tested. A 2$\times$2$\times$3 factorial design was used to test the effect of each factor on consumers' distrust and consumers' purchase intention for jean products. Retailer type was manipulated as high and low, brand reputation as well-known and less-known, and discount rates 10, 30 and 60%. An convenience sample of 165 female undergraduate students participated in the study. The data were analyzed using SPSS/PC+ The results showed that consumers did distrust discounting claims and consumers' distrust of the claims was greater for less-known brand. In addition, no significant effect of retailor type was found. Further effort is needed to generalize the result to different product categories.

  • Magnitudes of Magnetic field, Electronic field and Microwave was measured during the each stage of flight in the airline operation. The results was much higher than the safety standard and proved to be serious to the cockpit crews on their duty. We also identified that the magnitude of electronic field was much decreased by all three kinds of microwave protection equipments. We recommend that the cockpit crew have to wear the protection clothes to reduce the hazardous effects on their duty and the aircraft manufacturers have to consider the microwave-reduced cockpit in the initial stage of aircraft design.

  • Consumer consider the purpose for which they plan to use clothes when they purchase it, and the socks in textile products is evaluated in the same way. serviceability is judged by the extent to which the socks will be useful for its intended purpose. It should retain its original shape and size, good air permeability, good absorbency, good abrasion resistance, high fastness etc. Owing to importance of serviceability in socks, in this paper, these end-use requirement characteristics were tested. The results obtained were as follows: 1. Blend ratios were different between the indicated fiber contents on labels and the testing ones. 2. Air permeability was higher in the samples which contain less stitch density, and hydroscopicity was higher in those which contain natural fibers such as cotton and wool. 3. Shrinkage depended on the blend ratios of cotton and wool, and elastic recovery was better in the course direction than in the wale direction. 4. Pilling was conspicuous in the synthetic fibers such as polyester and nylon, and fastness of laundering and perspiration was higher in the fading grade than in the staining grade.

  • The plastic arts, which has substantially been regarded as a part of aesthetic activities originated in the artistic forms reflects interrelated aspects of the times. Adolescents′Self-Esteem and Materialism as related to Clothing and flood Behavior (남.녀 청소년의 자아존중감 및 물질주의 가치관과 의생활 . 식생활 행동)

  • The purpose of this study was two folds; One is to explore the adolescents'self-esteem, materialism, clothing and food behavior according to their gender and socio-economic status(SES). The other is to examine the relations among those variables. The subjects were 530 high school students(246 boys; 284 girls) in Seoul. Data were collected through questionnaires. As results, boys and adolescents from higher SES show higher self-esteem compared to girls and those from low SES. There was no gender difference in materialism, but adolescents from lower SES haute higher materialism. Girls buy clothes and eat out more frequently and spend more money on them. As anticipated, there were significant negative correlations between self-esteem and materialism. Moreover, adolescents who hale higher self-esteem and lower materialism tend to behave more desirable patterns of colthing and food behavior.

  • Poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) obtained by the saponification of poly(vinyl ester) like poly(vinyl acetate) o. poly(vinyl pivalate) is a linear semicrystalline polymer, which has been widely used as fibers for clothes and industries, films, membranes, medicines for drug delivery system, and cancer cell-killing embolic materials[1-3]. PVA fibers and films have high tensile and compressive strengths, high tensile modulus, and good abrasion resistance due to its highest crystalline lattice modulus. (omitted)

  • 최근 모바일 환경의 발달은 손안의 쇼핑을 완벽히 구현하고 있다. 특히, SNS 및 패션커머스의 발전으로 소비자는 자신이 원하는 의류를 간편하게 구매할 수 있다. 하지만, 모델 착용샷, 설명, 사진 및 댓글 등을 통해 판단하고 구입하기 때문에, 의류 특성상 직접 입어보고 판단해야 하는 실 소비자는 만족도가 떨어지고 판매자 입장에서는 반품이 증가하는 현상이 나타나고 있다. 본 논문에서는 소비자의 만족도를 최대한 높일 수 있는 2가지 요소를 감안한 모바일 쇼핑몰을 소개하고자 한다. 첫째, 소비자 체형과 유사한 모델 착용샷을 제공함으로써 구매 당시 소비자의 구매 만족도를 높인다. 둘째, 의류를 구매한 소비자가 자신이 착용한 사진을 쇼핑몰에 올림으로써 모델로써 활동할 수 있는 기능을 제공함으로써 커머스 SNS가 구축되도록 유도한다. 이를 위해 착용샷을 올리는 회원들을 위한 수수료 구조를 효율화하고 판매사, 소비자, 모델들이 활동하는 플랫폼을 구성한다.

  • The purpose of this study was to design a set of functional and creative clothing for elementary school children emphasizing the physical, psychological and athletic developments in children. At the same time plans were made to protect the child from an environment which presents obstacles or dangers to children's activities. The followings are criteria for clothing design of this study. 1) Ease for comfort 2) Protection from abraision 3) Protection from snagging 4) Protection from soiling 5) Repose Functional and ply valant styles and materials were chosen so that a child can easily change his clothes in different styles, and efforts in clothing are being made to meet the various demands of children's activities.

  • In order to prevent fire and explosion due to the electrostatic discharge at the Gas Station etc. This result will be applied to standard in the future. Wearing the non-electrostatic removing wear, Charged voltage of human body is 3,980V(MIE is approximately 0.79mJ). There is a possibility of fire explosion because the MIE of LP gas is 0.25mJ. In accordance with using period(whasing times), Charged voltage is shown that propensity is increased. Electrostatic charge amount is upper standard($0.6{\mu}$C) of the hazard of electrostatic removing wear. There is a possibility of fire and explosion. Therefore, countermeasure and management are needed about gas station worker.
