This study investigates issues in relation to text segmenting, in particular, line breaks in Korean language textbooks. Research on L1 and L2 reading has shown that readers process texts by chunking (grouping words into phrases or meaningful syntactic units) and, therefore, phrase-cued texts are helpful for readers whose syntactic knowledge has not yet been fully developed. In other words, it would be important for language textbooks to avoid awkward syntactic divisions at the end of a line, in particular, those textbooks for beginners and intermediate level learners. According to our analysis of a number of major Korean language textbooks for beginner-level learners, however, many textbooks were found to display line-breaks of awkward syntactic division. Moreover, some textbooks displayed frequent instances where a single word (or eojeol in the case of Korean) is split between different lines. This can hamper not only learners' learning of the rules of spaces between eojeols in Korean, but also learners' development in automatic word recognition, which is an essential part of reading processes. Based on the findings of our textbook analysis and of existing research on reading, this study suggests ways to overcome awkward line-breaks in Korean language textbooks.

ADS-B(Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast) has been recognized as a key component of Surveillance and ATM in CNS/ATM System. In addition to providing surveillance for air traffic control(ATC), ADS-B also supports airborne applications such as enhanced traffic situational awareness through the display of other aircraft to pilots and flight crew. It provides the real-time and same air traffic information to pilots in the aircraft cockpit, air traffic controllers in tower and surface vehicles on the ground at the same time. Aircraft Cockpit Display Unit will display the given information precisely and accurately. This paper describes progress in the development of a Cockpit Display with ADS-B data that enable pilots to acquire, verify and maintain pre-defined spacing intervals from other aircraft for general aviation and small regional aircraft. The designed display provides analogous information in the form of traffic position, range, and ground speed, etc.

This paper suggests an automatic elliptic grid generation method that is well-suited for the numerical mapping of complex geometries which are easily obtained from general CAD programs. An LBLADI solver is used for the governing mapping equations to have the strong diagonal dominance. The full boundary control method is adopted to determine the control functions of the equations, which allows the control of the grid regarding spacing and angle control at all boundary surfaces. The solution method presented here provides the capability of mapping very complicated geometries by defining grid point locations only along the boundaries. In the automated elliptic grid generation procedure, it is showed that strong diagonal dominance is essential to achieve successful mapping irrespective of the initial grid condition provided. To demonstrate the robustness of this method, it is applied to the thermal flow like the natural convection between eccentric cylinders. The results agree well with others.

In this paper, we present an automatic sentiment classification method for on-line movie reviews that do not contain explicit sentiment rating scores. For the sentiment polarity classification, positive or negative, we use a Support Vector Machine classifier based on syllable kernel that is an extended model of string kernel. We give some experimental results which show that proposed syllable kernel model can be effectively used in sentiment classification tasks for on-line movie reviews that usually contain a lot of grammatical errors such as spacing or spelling errors.
Text analysis technique for natural language processing in deep learning represents words in vector form through word embedding. In this paper, we propose a method of constructing a document vector and classifying it into spam and normal text message, using word embedding and deep learning method. Automatic spacing applied in the preprocessing process ensures that words with similar context are adjacently represented in vector space. Additionally, the intentional word formation errors with non-alphabetic or extraordinary characters are designed to avoid being blocked by spam message filter. Two embedding algorithms, CBOW and skip grams, are used to produce the sentence vector and the performance and the accuracy of deep learning based spam filter model are measured by comparing to those of SVM Light.
Recently, studies on Korean spelling correction have been actively conducted based on machine translation and automatic noise generation. These methods generate noise and use as train and data set. This has limitation in that it is difficult to accurately measure performance because it is unlikely that noise other than the noise used for learning is included in the test set In addition, there is no practical error type standard, so the type of error used in each study is different, making qualitative analysis difficult. This paper proposes new 'error type classification' for deep learning-based Korean spelling correction research, and error analysis perform on existing commercialized Korean spelling correctors (System A, B, C). As a result of analysis, it was found the three correction systems did not perform well in correcting other error types presented in this paper other than spacing, and hardly recognized errors in word order or tense.
This study investigates the geometric and spatial image quality analysis of KOMPSAT-3A stereo pair. KOMPSAT-3A is, the latest satellite of KOMPSAT family, a Korean earth observation satellite operating in optical bands. A KOMPSAT-3A stereo pair was taken on 23 November, 2015 with 0.55 m ground sampling distance over Terrassa area of Spain. The convergence angle of KOMPSAT-3A stereo pair was estimated as $58.68^{\circ}$. The investigation was assessed through the evaluation of the geopositioning analysis, image quality estimation and the accuracy of automatic Digital Surface Model (DSM) generation and compared with those of KOMPSAT-3 stereo pair with the convergence angle of $44.80^{\circ}$ over the same area. First, geopositioning accuracy was tested with initial rational polynomial coefficients (RPCs) and after compensating the biases of the initial RPCs by manually collected ground control points. Then, regarding image quality, relative edge response was estimated for manually selected points visible from two stereo pairs. Both of the initial and bias-compensated positioning accuracy and the quality assessment result expressed that KOMPSAT-3A images showed higher performance than those of KOMPSAT-3 images. Finally, the accuracy of DSMs generated from KOMPSAT-3A and KOMPSAT-3 stereo pairs were examined with respect to the reference LiDAR-derived DSM. The various DSMs were generated over the whole coverage of individual stereo pairs with different grid spacing and over three types of terrain; flat, mountainous and urban area. Root mean square errors of DSM from KOMPSAT-3A pair were larger than those for KOMPSAT-3. This seems due to larger convergence angle of the KOMPSAT-3A stereo pair.

Ozone has been a problem in big cities. That is secondary air pollutant produced by nitrogen oxide and VOCs in the atmosphere. In order to solve this, the first to be the analysis of the $NO_x$ and VOCs. The main source of nitrogen oxide is the road mobile. Industrial sources in Seoul are particularly low, and mobile traffics on roads are large, so 45% of total $NO_x$ are estimated that road mobile emissions in Seoul. Thus, it is necessary to clarify the relation with the activity of road mobile source and $NO_x$ concentration. In this study, we analyzed the 4 locations with roadside automatic monitoring systems in their center. The V.K.T. calculating areas are set in circles with 50 meter spacing, 50 meter to 500 meter from their center. We assumed the total V.K.T. in the set radius affect the $NO_x$ concentration in the center. We used the hourly $NO_x$ concentrations data for the 4 observation points in July for the interference of the other sources are minimized. We used the intersection traffic survey data of all direction for construction of the V.K.T. data, the mobile activities on the roads. ArcGIS application was used for calculating the length of roads in the set radius. The V.K.T. data are multiplied by segment traffic volume and length of roads. As a result, the $NO_x$ concentration can be expressed as linear function formula for V.K.T. with high predictive power. Moreover we separated background concentration and concentrations due to road mobile source. These results can be used for forecasting the effect of traffic demand management plan.

The purpose of this study is to present the functional and technical solutions for text learning of web-based textbook in which each letter has its own focal point. The solutions help learners not to lose the main focus when eye moves to the next letter or line. The text screen of the electronic textbook automatically scrolls the text to up and down or left and right directions which are preassigned by learner. It doesn't need the operation of mouse or keyboard. And learner can change scroll speed and types anytime during scrolling. Automatic text scroll function is a solution for controlling data and screen to reflect the personal favor and ability. It contains the content structure of the text(characteristics, categorizations etc.), the appearance of the text(density, size, font etc.), scroll options(scroll, speed etc.), program control type(ram resident program etc.), and the application of the screen design principles(legibility etc.). To resolve these functional problems, technical 8 phases are provided, which are environment setting, scroll option setting, copy, data analysis, scroll coding, centered focus coding, left and right focus coding, implementation. The learner can focus on text without dispersion because the text focal points stay in the fixed area of screen. 1bey read the text following their preferences for fonts, sizes, line spacing and so on.
A fire risk assessment in rack-type warehouse is typically determined based on the following factors: 1. flammability and fire loads for storage of goods, packing materials, and pallet, 2. a ceiling height of warehouse indoor spaces, and 3. height, arrangement, and spacing for storage racks. For appropriately extinguishing and protecting the fire in warehouses, therefore, it is necessary to classify combustibles considering the previously mentioned factors and to develop design Standards for sprinkler system. As the first step to apply automatic sprinkler system to domestic warehouses, this study investigated characteristics for commodity distribution and warehouse configuration using 28 warehouses in five distribution complexes located in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. In addition, this study analyzed Standards for commodity distribution adopted in USA, Europe, and Japan. Using the field survey analysis, this study was aimed to provide baseline data to prepare for Commodity Classification Standard for warehouses in South Korea.
