In pulse diagnosis, the indentation pressure is one of the most important factors as well as the change of pulse shape and the distribution of pressure via time. But, on the oriental medical doctor's indentation pressure control, the understandings of the neurophysiological meanings and mechanisms have been lacked. So, in this paper, we considered on these issues and then proposed a proper system which can imitate the OMD's indentation pressure control mechanisms. As a result, both tactile information and kinesthetic information were found to be essential to the indentation pressure control so that a system, which can measure both the physical indent pressure and the displacement of an indentation arm, has been proposed. With this proposed system, while the indentation was being controlled through the moving step number of the step motor, the physical indentation pres sure and displacement of the indentation arm were measured. From these measured data, the relationships between the moving step number and both physical indentation pressure and displacement were revealed to have linear characteristics in early phase and to have nonlinear characteristics in latter phase. Additionally, three types of graph were generated whose X axis means the moving step number, the physical indentation pressure and the displacement respectively and Y axis means the pulse pressure. By comparing these graphs, we come to conclude that different concepts on indentation pressure control cause different diagnostic results on floating/sinking degrees for the same subject. Consequently, an indentation system for the pulse diagnosis should be able to provide both the tactile information and kinesthetic information, that is, the physical indentation pressure and the displacement of the indentation arm. In future, the proposed system should be optimized to the pulse diagnosis environment and how to combine the both information for more reliable diagnosis should be studied.

Treatment chart(醫案) is a document that doctors have described about their own practice. Western doctor's chart has a prescribed form, but otherwise chart of oriental medicine is a free form. As It has no prescribed form, doctors of oriental medicine have recorded important facts that they think especially. For example, details are patient's name, age, sex and address, the name of disease, state of pulse and tongue, state of secretions(stools, urine, perspiration, etc.), color of face, state of sleep and thirst, diagnosis, prescription, improvement of herb, teaching, and so forth. If we study on chart of oriental medicine, we draw a lesson about practices of a famous doctors. Through that we can increase ability of diagnosis and adaptation to circumstance, make ourselves familiar with use of past prescriptions and way of changing prescription, and learn narrative story of past doctors' personal experience, their though and teaching. As chart of oriental medicine had many methods to take a measure to meet the false situation, we can learn that. Through chart of oriental medicine, we can improve our practice of oriental medicine.

We suggest that clinical practice guideline should reflect the Hwabyung's characteristics, clinical environment and Oriental medical doctor's need. Methods : We use the general development method of clinical practice guideline and also apply the oriental medicine's properties. Results : We need to refer to the western psychiatric field, especially the clinical guideline of depression. And we should base on the clinical survey and trial with the selected core subject considering oriental medicine's character. In the 18th Century, those who played most important role in international interchange of medical science between Korea and Japan were skillful doctors and doctors of Joseontongsinsa(Correspondents of Joseon called on Japan as a mission). But they have been truly neglected by researchers on history of Korea, even on history of Korean medical science. They were received warm treatment from Japanese. But They were at the most middle-class in social standing in Joseontongsinsa. Though they played important role, they were underpriced and their brilliant achievements were faded out. It is on account of their low social position in Joseon Dynasty, a strict class society. Samsa, Jesulkuan, and Seogi were members of Joseontongsinsa those who were high class in social standing and were good at writing. In general, they were also Confucian doctors in Joseon. In the case of Samsa, there was Seo Myungung who was famous Confucian doctor. And since 'dispatch principle of Jesulkuan' had been prepared, Jesulkuans had paticipated in questions and answers on clinical problems. In a broad sense, We can regard Lihyun, a Jesulkuan in 1711's mission, Shinyuhan, a Jesulkuan in 1719's mission, and Seogies of Samsa as Confucian doctors. Though they were not medical specialist, but we can find them as Confucian doctors through the questions and answers on clinical problems they were participated in.
The Syndrome Differentiation(辨證) means to make diagnosises and to classify symptoms based oriental medicine theory. Questionnaires and clinical decision support system would assist the doctor checks up symptoms of a patient. We analyze about domestic and foreign patents and papers of these diagnosis tools and catch the trend. In patents, the system examines by telemedicine and offers medical information and prescriptions to patient. Papers was itemized fields ; theory, methods of analysis, clinical application, questionnaire, clinical decision support system. The results of this research can be applied to develop the high-quality tool to support syndrome differentiation.
Hyungsang Medicine is a medical theory a Korean traditional medical doctor Park In Kyu established based on the contents of "Donguibogam" that is currently practiced commonly today in Korean TKM clinics. Although it is based on "Donguibogam", the most basic text of TKM, it differs from "Donguibogam" in that its diagnosis, treatment, and treatment methods of illnesses are based on the person's appearance. This study organizes the medical theory by considering its relation to other medical theories and organizing the theoretical backgrounds through examining documents that it is based on.
Background : Medical records are documents in files which consist of all diagnostic studies and medical treatments patients had received while they were hospitalized or treated as outpatients. A doctor or medical team can use medical records as a data for diagnosis, treatment, and education. In traditional eastern asian medicine, medical reports have different forms and contents. The most important thing in medical reports of traditional eastern asian medicine was how to express practitioner's medical ideas. So it has a weak point, for example, it has poor information about patient and clinical process, which make some trouble to understand it. Methods and Results : We studied medical records in Gyojubuin-yangbang, a commentary book of Chen-zi-ming's Obstetrics and Gynecology textbook done by Xue-ji in Ming dynasty, China. This book consists of 10 parts; treatment of menstruation disorders and leukorrhea, general gynecology, treatment of infertility, education for fetus, diagnosis of fetus and gravida, treatment of general and obstetrical disease in gravida, care for delivery, postpartum care and treatment, and treatment of mass and inflammation. It has 546 medical records about women's disease that commonly believed as Xue-ji's case reports. They are all review articles and made during about 23 years from A.D 1523 to 1546. Most patients of Xue-ji's case reports were common people, this fact is different from that of case reports in Chen-zi-ming's Obstetrics and Gynecology textbook. Conclusion : Xue-ji was a very famous Ob&Gy doctor who was from Suzhou Jingsu province in China. He was born in A.D 1468, died in A.D 1588. He emphasize emotional factors in pathology and to tonify spleen and kidney. We think Xue-ji's medical records are good references for us to treat psychosomatic Ob&Gy disease and chronic women's disease.
