A Comparative Analysis on the Living Culture of Undergraduate Students for Establishment of University Culture - Focused on the Commuting Patterns - (대학문화정착을 위한 대학생의 생활문화비교분석 -지방대학 대학생의 통학유형을 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to compare the living cultures among three types of undergraduate students, grouped by commuting patterns, attending universities in Chung-Cheong Do: a long-distance type, a short-distance type, and a living-alone type. The survey was performed with questionnaires and the subjects were 1167 undergraduate students. The results are as follows: for a long-distance type, the levels of housing environments and consumption expenditures were relatively high, but the students felt constrainted by the commuting time. For a short-distance type, the consensus in decision-making with parents and the degree of conflict reconciliation were the lowest. For a living-alone type, the levels of housing environments and consumption expenditures were relatively poorer, but the students spent relative]y more time at school and the attitudes of school and department which they belong to were relatively higher.

A Study on Applications of Housing Interior Design Elements according to the Sensibility Type (감성유형에 따른 주거 실내디자인요소 적용방안)

  • The purpose of this study was to draw application elements of housing interior design according to user-oriented sensibility types. The sensibility evaluation experiments were conducted to target the general user 118 people using the sensibility evaluation tool for housing interior space. The results of the analysis were as: To produce the 'cozy' space, the colors and materials giving soft and natural feeling should be used. For the 'practical' space, type of ceiling and window that give the visually open feeling, the user-oriented furniture arrangement that allows using the space efficiently. For the 'cheerful' space, the simple and natural effects should be produced by using closed space that stable. For the 'traditional' space, the natural fishing material having rough texture should be used. For the 'unique' space, the space contained the dynamic feeling by the diagonal or vertical line and the graphic expression in the wall. For the 'congenial' emotional space, basic is the symmetric, stable and simple space. On the other hand, for the material, small size, natural texture or typical and soft materials should be used. For the 'sensuous' space, the dynamic and vertical sense of space should be expressed by the type of ceiling. The most important elements for the space of 'gorgeous' sensibility, is the color.

  • By changing housing market, housing cultural center furnishes information, value added, image of housing. For publicity their unique house, construction companies provide not only concrete and substantial material but also sensible and capacity service through the community space of housing cultural center. The consumer's experience of housing cultural center have an effect on purchase power apartment. The image of enterprise is important to select commodities to consumers. Though main clients are women, housing cultural center has not space concept and aim to concern for them. According to begin women a group of consumers, they have purchasing power in family. Apartment is no exception. Housing cultural center is used as continuous culture space that provide various experiential chance for consumer, especially women by systematize and distinct design detail and feature component. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is an analysis about community space of housing cultural center with the woman marketing based on experience.

Content Analysis of the 'Housing' Unit in the 2015 Revised Middle School Technology and Home Economics Textbook Using Text Mining (텍스트 마이닝을 이용한 2015 개정 중학교 기술·가정 교과서의 주생활 단원 내용분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the keywords of the middle school textbooks based on the 2015 revision of the technology and home economics curriculum to understand the core concepts and contents composition of the 'housing' unit. Using TEXTOM and UCINET programs, the frequencies and centralities of the keywords were analyzed, and CONCOR analysis was performed. The results are as follows. First, the content system of the 'housing' unit is divided into 'life culture' and 'safety' in the 'family life and safety' area. Second, in the 'safety' section, the frequencies of occurrence of the words were high in the order of indoor, occurrence, use, noise, and safety accidents, in the order of frequency of occurrence. It was confirmed that words related to daily life, safety accidents, and prevention were closely connected to each other. In the 'life culture' section, the frequencies of occurrence were high in the order of space, housing, family, and residential space, and the correlations between these keywords were also high. Third, the most influential core keywords were, indoor and occurrence in the 'safety' section, and space, family, and housing, in the 'life culture' section. Fourth, the 'safety' section were divided into two subunits, 'safe living environment' and 'comfortable living environment', and the 'life culture' section were divided into four subunits, 'living space composition', 'space utilization', 'housing value and lifestyle', and 'housing culture'.

  • In order to solve housing shortage, an apartment has been built and supplied in large quantities in Korea. As such a result, the apartment became a typical housing type in Korea. However, the housing became vulnerable to accommodate rapidly changing life-style & life-cycle of koreans and was lost the concept of Korean traditional housing for inheriting and developing Korean traditional culture. Therefore, this paper aims at eliciting of design elements for development on standard model of long-life housing with durability & flexibility based on data derived from housing consumers's questionnaire survey and expert's opinion surveys. We expect that the standard model developed on the basis of open building applying support & infill elements will be used as a standard model for planning future long-life housing with capacity.

  • This study is focused on Resider's Preference of Residential Space to improve Residence Unit Plan. Three Rental Housing Complexes in Jeju which supplied by Korea National Housing Corporation(KNHC) were selected for more detailed Resider's Preference research, which were constructed within 5years. Questionnaire of Total 360 sheets were distributed for each Rental Housing Complexes and total 299 sheets were returned. The results of research are as the followings. Generally satisfaction of environment and living area of home is not high. And also it seem that many residers want to live in housing of average 25.87 pyeong in housing scale. In view and direction of housing Especially, many residers tend to select housing that view is better than direction. With based on like this results, it is proposed housing plan's develop and political supports reflected Jeju's culture condition, life style, climate and so on.

A Study on the Formation of Urban Squatter in Korea and their Housing Culture from Socio-historical Point of View (사회사적 관점에서 본 우리나라 도시빈민의 형성배경과 주거문화 - 개항 이후 토막민촌부터 한구전쟁 직후 판자촌까지 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide the basic information about the formation background of urban squatter and their housing state in Korea. This study was progressed on the basis of socio-historical point of view from the opening of a port to the after the Korean War. In that sense, this study considered meaning of housing for urban squatter in the Korean housing history. For this study, the formation background of the urban squatter was divided into three periods. The first period was after the opening of a port (1876-1910) when the inflow of Japanese and their plundering from Korea started. The second was Japanese occupation period (1910-1945) which contributed to increase the number of Tomak (mud hut) and made the Tomak-min's village. The third period was Korean war & postwar years (1945-1953). This period was divided into three parts again; after the Korean independence (1945-1950), during the Korean War (1950-1953), and after the Korean War (1953-). The urban squatter was settled in the national land and the public land in each period and experienced the severe housing shortage. The government of the time could not protect the urban squatter from the special national states such as the Japanese rule and the Korean War.

A Research on the Korean Private Residence Published in Kuchie, ′Chosun and Architecture′ during the Japanese Colonial Period (일제강점기 『조선과건축』 권두그림에 게재된 조선인 개인주택에 대한 고찰)

  • This research is about the Korean private residence as the actual housing published in Kuchie, 'Chosun and Architecture'. Research about the Korean private residence during the Japanese colonial period is important to find out the influence of foreign culture on Korean housing during that period. This research is necessary to reveal the tendency of modernization of Korean housing and how the foreign cultural relationship transformed and applied to the Korean housing. This research was carried out mainly on the 16 Korean private residences published in 'Chosun and Architecture'. The main subject of this research is to analyze the architectural floor plan, building material and heating facilities etc. Other important themes of the research are the practical side of actual housing plan, interior furnitures and fittings, electrical fittings and the classification of life style.

  • An increase in population of advanced age people according to medical development and progress of small family system by industrial development, changed our traditional large family system and paved way for creating a new dwelling culture in Korea. A Study on the Planning Characteristics of Sustainable Housing Area (지속가능성의 함의를 고려한 주거지 계획특성 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to provide basic information about the study of model development of sustainable housing area. So, this study identified the concept of sustainable development and condition after investigation Habitat Agenda II, and the 10 items of agenda were used to constitute the case study framework. This study found the development characteristics through the case study of 6 sustainable housing areas in the world(US, UK and Australia), and searched the missing point in the sustainable development concept. The major findings are summarized as follows: First, the attempt of environmental sustainability was restrictive such as minimal environment pollution and waste, water resource protection and conservation of nature ecosystem. Second, in social-culture sustainability, the effort of right to housing, solution of urban squatter and housing welfare eliminated. Third, in economic sustainability, the attempt of prevent natural disaster, technological and industrial disaster excluded.
