  • The retail store, which appears in various ways of the modern city, is the architectural result that the merchandise is finally delivered to consumers. The relationship between the commerce based on manufacturing and distribution and the retail store as urban architecture can be understood not only from the viewpoint of economics and business administration but also the problem of the formation of urban history and urban organization. The modern industrial development in Korea had been progressed by the state led, as the manufacturing and distribution developed in turn. This social and economic situation influenced the formation of the retail store of the city. This is different from the West, which the development has been conducted together. The cosmetics sales space, which is the subject of this study, has changed in various forms from the 1960s to the 1990s. Cosmetics brand retail shop is a corporate brand-based space, but paradoxically, it has a historical characteristic of urban architecture in that it is branding city street. This specificity of Seoul is unexplained by the development process of the Western and does not exist as a physically huge or special construction sometimes. However, it operates as a urban architecture in Seoul where the complicated.

Regulation System of Amusement Place Business : The Quickening Period of the Game Legislation (유기장업 관리체제 : 게임법제의 태동기 연구)

  • This paper is written for analyzing the history of the Korean game legislation system. The regulation system of amusement place business that is discussed in this paper was started at the Enforcement Rule of the Amusement Place Act of 1973. It was maintained till 1999 and comes under the quickening period of the current game legislation. The legal regulation of this times was accomplished through the Amusement Place Act, the Amusement Place Business Act and the Public Health Act. The amusement place business was differentiated into the athletics facility business, the amusement facility business and the game proffer business of current legislations. The game proffer business succeeds to the kernel of the regulation system of amusement place business. Therefore, The basis of the current game legislation was constituted in the times of the regulation system of amusement place business. Two cores of the regulation system of amusement place business, (1) the separation of the amusement instrument and the speculation, (2) the regulation of a place of business, are still the important issues of the current game legislation.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the history of 20th century fashion and make-up culture, analyze trend of the modern fashion and make-up, creat a cyber make-up model according to themes and also it will find out how to use make-up as a part of fashion genre. As a result of this study is 1. Looking over change-process in 20th century fashion and make-up history, we can find the popular make-up color and pattern reflecting the society and cultural environments. And also make-up culture reflecting their sense of values and way of thinkings. 2. Analyzing fashion and make up color trend of 2002 F/W, we can find a similarity between fashion and make-up color trend by comparing with hue&tone chart. All of theme have a tendency to be natural, veiled, feminine by neutral color and artifical highlighted, illuminate, transparant by clear-high saturation color. 3. Creating imagemaps, color palletes and cyber model of 4 trend themes by computer graphic, It can give more visual and interesting effect on the cyber space, and also it can help to expect make-up will be dizitalized, visualized and informationalized.

  • In a rapidly changing fashion design world, creative ideas are always required. Knowledge has been created as an art, exhibiting a new imagination that surpasses reality, while being visualized from the past. The purpose of this study is to derive types of visualization of knowledge for continuous creation of fashion design. The study consists of literature and empirical studies. ATTA, a creativity evaluation method made by Torrance applied for analyzing of Gucci fashion design collections from 2016-2017. Creativity of the Gucci collection by ATTA evaluation items are that first, a vivid idea was revealed through collection history, myths and animal and plants, second, conceptual incongruity is in the composition of the garment, third, provocative questions are the symbolism of the meaning of the text, fourth, different perspectives derive a new formative beauty through the synthesis of twisted elements, fifth, abstraction is a symbolic expression of animals and plants, sixth, synthesis is a mixture of various materials and techniques by plural inspiration, seventh, context, it is developed as a design accompanied by stories of history and myth and eighth, fantasy is fictitious animals and animals and detail. In addition, formativeness of fashion design by visualization of this knowledge was extracted with contamination, symbolism, enjoyment and fabrication. Visualization of the knowledge is expected to be used as a strategy to attract ongoing ideas for creative fashion designs.

The Change in Construction Industry of Korea from the 1920s to the 1930s : Researching Activities of Hanazono Sakichi (하나조노 사키치의 활동을 통해 본 1920-30년대 청부업의 변화)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the construction industry of Korea from the 1920s to the 1930s by analyzing activities of construction-contractors trying to overcome the recession of the construction industry and intensified competition in the industry. In this paper, I looked at the activities of Hanazono Sakichi as concrete examples. First of all, with the strategy of the vertical integration, by manufacturing and selling building materials, Hanazono Sakichi expanded his company and the scope of contract business. The second, he attempted to diversify related projects. Through related diversification, he seemed to have earned not only land management profit but also advantages from related construction. These aspects were not only seen by Hanazono's activities but also by other contractors'. On the other hand, a few contractors have taken over a trust company to secure the funds for land management. Attempts to maximize personal interests through the expansion and diversification of contractors' business can be seen as overcoming the pre-1920s environment, where almost construct works were ordered under the government, and creating opportunities for the private sector to work and make profit by themselves. In the end, it can be mentioned that 'the contractor' established 'the construction industry' through this process.

The Study of Children's Costumes Historical in Enlightment Period of Korea

  • This study was aimed at reviewing kinds and characteristics of children's costumes in consideration of their social and cultural backgrounds and particularly, those of children's costumes during the period of Enlightenment following Chosun dynasty and thereafter. Namely, this study focused on children's costume history in view of not adults' costume miniatures but their own concept. It is deemed very significant to review the history of our traditional costumes and thereby, express their decorative features with our contemporary sense. It is results can be summed up as follows; Strictly speaking, the period of Enlightenment can be defined as the one from Gwangwhado treaty in 1876 through annexation of Korea by Japan in 1910, but it may well extend until our emancipation from Japan in 1945. By 1890's, children's costumes remained almost traditional, but since then, the Chimas as well as Jeogori and breast tie began to be narrower. Particularly, Children's Jeogori began to be narrower with their breast tie disappearing gradually. By 1910's, children's costumes had changed much, with the breast tie replaced by the buttons and the longer Jeogoris.

  • Success of any business solely is dependant on how to satisfy clients in healthcare-related industry. In the short history of Korea pet-care industry, there were not many guidelines on client satisfaction management of companion animal hospitals. The studies on many pet healthcare facilities were conducted based on their cost-benefits and the advantages of medical operation within special features of the traditional hospital management system. However the companion animal hospitals recently need to improve the service quality and client closed communication in keen competition on pet healthcare market. This study explores client satisfaction management could be the new issue of the veterinary hospital business. And it finally suggests of the critical factors affecting successful client satisfaction management of companion animal hospital based on the eight case studies.

  • Most power plants have operated many independent computerize systems for maintenance. Independence of systems have caused complexity of business process and inconvenience of computer system management. Because the equipment and material master data is not standardize and structurize, it is difficult to manage equipment maintenance history and material delivery. Especially equipment classification criterion is important for standardization of every maintenance information. It is necessary to integrate function of independent systems for business process simplification and rapid work flow. this paper provides equipment classification criterion design and system integration method with the case of live system development.

  • Quality is distinguished from the other important management indicators, cost and profitability, by the features of its far longer history and of common concern to both manufacturer and customer. We may say from this that quality has a far more human aspect than either cost or profitability. We stress the importance of establishing “quality culture.” But we do not commonly use the terms of “cost culture” or “productivity culture.”In addition, we know from our experiences that improving quality by creative methods can lead to lower cost and higher productivity, although the converse is not necessarily true. In the Maslow's hierarchy of human needs, it is known that the character of human needs changes from extrinsic and material ones at lower levels to intrinsic and mental or spiritual ones at higher levels. We know from our experience that employee satisfaction is closely linked with quality, which is of more human nature and can further be deployed into the detailed elements of quality. The leaders and managers should positively display leadership and respond to the efforts of the subordinates. Without these managerial leadership and efforts, it is almost impossible to provide essential and true customer satisfaction. They are the indispensable elements for business excellence.

  • The collaboration hub has been developed since 2004 as an online collaboration space, which supports the various collaborative works amongst small and medium enterprises using information sharing, collaboration project management, and project history management. Because of the change of manufacturing environment and rapid development of information technologies, it should be evolved from the existing version called Collaboration Hub 1.0. Recently, a lot of manufacturing enterprises know the importance of business process management(BPM) and start to introduce BPM systems. Our research group has developed the new version of Collaboration Hub 1.0 called Collaboration Hub 2.0 which contains the BPM concept, the consistent product data management, and the specialized functions overcoming the various variation of manufacturing. This study scrutinizes the meaning and role of the Collaboration Hub 2.0 and introduces an application study of it to the value chain of automobile module development consisted of a leading company and subcontractors. The case study covers the definition, execution and monitoring of collaboration process, the specialized functions overcoming the manufacturing variation and the key performance index of collaboration business.
