This paper presents a numerical study on the effect of live load pattern on RC flat plate under in-plane compression. Through the numerical study on various live load pattern, the load condition that governs the strength of the flat plate is determined. Effects of L.L/D.L. and arrangement of reinforcement on the behavior of the flat plate are also studied. And the efficient arrangement of reinforcement regarding to live load pattern is proposed.

The pallet loading pattern and efficiency were analyzed on the packaging boxes for agricultural products. Also, the pallet layout chart was proposed as a convenient tool in selecting the suitable packaging dimensions for them. By researching the layout pattern and maximum number of agricultural products in the packaging box, we can choose the efficient box dimension.

전자정부, 전자상거래의 활성화로 디지털 문서가 빠른 속도로 유통되고 있기에 이에 대한 효과적인 보호대책이 필요한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 Window Pattern을 이용하여 Binary Image에 저작권 정보를 삽입하는 방안을 제안한다. 삽입대상 Window Pattern을 결정하고 이러한 Pattern으로 원본 영상을 Scan하면서 픽셀 값에 변화를 주게 된다. 이렇게 되어 하나의 Pattern에 1bit의 정보의 삽입이 가능하게 되고 추출 시 원본을 필요로 하지 않으며 실용성이 높고 적용분야도 넓다.

In spite of many studies on statistical model for pattern identifications (PIs), little attention has been paid to the complexity of pattern diagnosis processed by oriental physicians. The aim of this study is to develop a statistical diagnostic model which discriminates four PIs using multiple indicators in stroke. Clinical data were collected from 981 stroke patients and 516 data of which PIs were agreed by two independent physicians were included. Discriminant analysis was carried out using clinical indicators such as symptoms and signs which referred to pattern diagnosis, and applied to validation samples which contained all symptoms and signs manifested. Four Fischer's linear discriminant models were derived and their accuracy and prediction rates were 93.2% and 80.43%, respectively. It is important to consider the pattern diagnosis processed by oriental physicians in developing statistical model for PIs. The discriminant model developed in this study using multiple indicators is valid, and can be used in the clinical fields.

This study has purpose to understanding recent trends and image effect of textile in fashion by looking to dyeing technique and aesthetics of diffusing image pattern. Further the study will hope to provide basic data for fashion and textile designer fashion. The methods of this study are academic literatures as well as practical study through case studies about actual works. Dyeing techniques and aesthetics of diffusing image pattern since 2000 fashion collection and their results are as follows. First, Dyeing techniques of diffusing image pattern are wet-dyeing and printing. There are plangi dyeing, salt dyeing, alcohol dyeing and ikat dyeing in the wet-dyeing and spray dyeing, discharge dyeing in the printing. There are tie-dyeing, rumpling-dyeing and plank-dyeing in the plangi. Second, Forming of the diffusing image pattern are due to uneven seeping and the contingency of a chemical reaction by reducing the pressure and intensity. Third, Aesthetics of diffusing image pattern are extracted purity missing childhood, fantasy escaping facts of the situation and abstraction representing informal world from formative characteristics of diffusing image pattern.

In the block matching algorithm, search patterns of different shapes or sizes and the distribution of motion vectors have a large impact on both the searching speed and the image quality. In this paper, we propose a new fast block matching algorithm using the cross pattern and the flat-hexagon search pattern. Our algorithm first finds the motion vectors that are close to the center of search window using the cross pattern, and then lastly finds the other motion vectors that are not close to the center of search window using the flat-hexagon search pattern. Through experiments, compared with the hexagon-based search algorithm(HEXBS), the proposed cross pattern and flat-hexagonal pattern search algorithm(CFHPS ) improves about 0.2-6.2% in terms of average number of search point per motion vector estimation and improves about 0.02-0.31dB in terms of PSNR(Peak Signal to Noise Ratio).

Pattern matching and pattern searching in time series data have been active issues in a number of disciplines. This paper suggests a novel pattern matching technology which can be used in the field of stock market analysis as well as in forecasting stock market trend. First, we define conceptual patterns, and extract data forming each pattern from given time series, and then generate learning model using Hidden Markov Model. The results show that the context-based pattern matching makes the matching more accountable and the method would be effectively used in real world applications. This is because the pattern for new data sequence carries not only the matching itself but also a given context in which the data implies.

An efficient torso pattern has been developed to cope with the future trend of order-based, individualized production like the E.C.(Electronic Commerce) in the apparel industry, and to make a database foundation of automatic garment pattern drafting. For this purpose, a non-contact three-dimensional anthropometric measurement system was used to provide a lot of accurate body data for better individual fit, and an automatic pattern drafting system that can easily generate various size patterns and construct a pattern database has been developed too. The subjects of this research were 18 to 24 year-old women whose data had been gathered through the Korean national investigation of anthropometry for industrial standards in 1997 and various body shapes were analyzed by the measurements. And a special software system has been developed to verify the validity of newly proposed drawing rules. The results of sensory evaluation for appearance and moving fitness of the new torso pattern showed a significant improvement in individual fit even for the figures with large deviation from standard shape compared with the results of the traditional one.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the style of check dresses shown in collections from 2011 to 2014 and to extract main expressional words for the development of semantic differential scales of visual images according to the change in silhouette of block check dresses. The results of this study are as follows: 1) 120 check dresses shown in collections were composed of 57 straight silhouette dresses, 38 fitted silhouette dresses, 23 hourglass silhouette dresses, 1 barrel silhouette dress, and 1 atypical silhouette dress. And check pattern mostly used in the current collections a square pattern of block check, tartan check that is a Scotch traditional lattice pattern, a small lattice pattern of gingham check, over check that other check patterns are arranged on check pattern, star-shaped hound tooth check, glen check mixing small pattern and big pattern. The visual image for check dress differs according to changes in the check pattern and silhouette of the dress. 2) Main expressional words of visual images for block check dresses differ greatly depending on the silhouette of dresses. The visual images are ranked in the order of 'graphic', 'simple', 'hard', 'modern' for straight silhouette of block check dresses. The words of 'lively', 'girlish', 'feminine', 'cute' are ranked for hourglass silhouette of block check dresses. And the words of 'confident', 'feminine', 'modern' are marked down for fitted silhouette of block check dresses.

The investment casting process is used frequently to manufacture precise and complex shape metal parts. The previous wax pattern manufacturing process takes long time and high costs because the process is performed by hands. In order to improve the wax manufacturing process, a new process is developed to manufacture the wax pattern by using a rapid prototyping system. A CastForm pattern is made by a Selective laser Sintering type RP with CastForm powder. The CastForm pattern is dipped in the melted wax liquid, and the melted wax penetrates into the pores of the CastForm pattern. Wax pattern is obtained after cooling the CastForm pattern slowly. A stainless steel part has been manufactured by the suggested process. By obtaining the suggested process the manufacturing time and costs are reduced largely and the accuracy is improved.
