Purpose: The aging population is the quickly increasing in Korea. Since 2008, the National Long term Care Insurance, a number of long term care facilities have established during short time in Korea. Especially, the environmental assessment tool is important for managing healing environment in a long term care facility for the elderly. Alzheimer's Garden Audit Tool (AGAT) is used to assess whether a garden incorporates those elements and qualities as healing outdoor space. In this paper, we discuss the benefits, limitations, and future directions of the assessment tool for long-term care facilities. Methods : The AGAT audit was done through content analysis by 5 experts from diverse discipline as post occupancy evaluation of a long term care facility located in suburban area. The expert group was asked to describe their comments for modification and improvement in application of AGAT. Results : The results of this study show that it is necessary to refine the instrument's items to better meet the needs of the criteria and items for Korean culture-friendly tool. Especially, greenhouse elements (various plants, birds etc.), multisensory experiences, users-oriented space, programmed activities in garden, and hazards on pathway has somewhat limitation as measurement to assess outdoor of long-term care facilities in Korea. Implications : Consequently, AGAT could be applicable to evaluate the outdoor space of long term care facility in Korea with culturally sensitive revision.

This study examined user experiences of motion-based games. Focusing on the playing experiences, in-depth interviews and survey were conducted on seven families with various family members detailing the gameplay. These qualitative methods were conducted interpretive way such as a month-long participant observation. As a result, the game Sensible meantime, the results were excluded from the game with the older generation of women and the elderly, leading to game culture game is trying to communicate was confirmed.

Objectives : This study aimed to analyze and summarize the utilization of oriental medical services in korea. Methods : From 3 Korean databases (National Assembly Library, Korea Education Research Information Sharing Service, and National Discovery for Science Leaders), published between 2001 and 2011, we were obtained 17 studies that involved the utilization of oriental medical services. Results : We found that women, elderly patients, and patients with low education levels and those with musculoskeletal and cerebrovascular diseases preferred to use oriental medical services. Other variables such as trust and kindness of staff and positive perceptions of the treatment effect were found to be significant determinants for utilizing oriental medical services. Conclusions : The utilization of oriental medical services would be related with gender, age, education levels and diseases. Also to confirm the reasons for patients to choose oriental medical services, further studies should be conducted using the highest methodological standards.

인권에 기반을 둔 사회복지 실천은 사회복지사의 존재 이유라고 해도 과언이 아닐 것이다. 사회복지사는 사회적 약자의 인권을 옹호하고, 사회의 문제를 해결하며, 사회정의를 실현하는 전문가이기에 인권과는 불가분의 관계에 있다. 최근 한국 사회에서 인권에 대해 많은 논의가 이루어지고 있다. 특히 고령화 사회 속에서 2008년 9월 치매와의 전쟁을 선포한 이후치매관리종합대책을 수립하여 정부가 주도적으로 추진해 오고 있는 시점에서 인권 관점에 근거한 치매노인 돌봄을 이해하기 위해, 인권 관점이 치매노인 돌봄을 위한 사회복지 실천 현장에 주는 장점과 과정은 무엇인지 검토해 볼 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 노인의 보호와 치매의 정의, 원인과 치매노인 돌봄을 위한 기술과 장점을 살펴보고, 인권 관점에 근거한 치매노인 돌봄을 위한 방안을 제언하고자 한다.

The success of Nintendo's Wii has changed the paradigm of console game. Existing games and consoles set up the game-playing system of complicated commands, narratives, and significantly advanced the degree of difficulty by the device's excellent capacity and the superiority of graphic in order to draw so called "Game Manias", while Nintendo established the easy game-playing system for not only game manias but women and elderly people. Such an innovation has carried out the most important role for Nintendo to dominate the market all over the world by 47.4% market share of consoles. In addition, it provided the users with unique interaction and emotional experience. In this study, we analyze the case above in terms of product design strategy, particularly emotional design strategy between Nintendo & Sony.

The purpose of this study was to describe 1) the prevalence of caregiving among adult men and women in Korea and 2) the characteristics of caregiving context. The main results were as follows: 1) About 1 in 6 adults reported that they provided care for the relatives and friends during the previous year. 2) The proportion of male to female caregivers was similar, indicating a higher prevalence of male involvement than previous studies indicated. Yet, the relationships to care recipients and types of care were found to be different by gender of caregiver 3) Adult caregivers are most likely to provide care for the elderly, but continue to provide care for younger persons as well. 4) A nontrivial proportion of the respondents reported providing care for more than one person, suggesting the need to pay special attention to these multiple caregivers.

The purpose of this study is to identify the acoustic changes according to age and to provide the evaluation criteria of elderly voice. The number of 120 Korean adults (three age groups * two sex groups) proceeded sustained three vowels, read apart of 'Taking a walk' and explained a picture. The data was analyzed acoustically with MDVP of CSL. The results showed that: 1)there was statistically most significant changes in sex and age in F0 than the others but no significant in Shimmer. 2)acoustic parameters were changed from young adulthood to old age. Different patterns of change with aging were observed in men and women.

지역사회복지시설을 이용하는 이용노인의 수요가 증가하면서 사회적 관계망의 특성에 따른 정신건강에 차이와 관련된 연구가 요구되고 있는 가운데, 노인의 사회적 관계망과 정신건강에 관한 연구가 더욱 활발하게 이루어져야 할 실정이다. 선행연구들에 의하여 밝혀진 바에 따르면 사회적 관계망이 스트레스, 우울, 자살사고에 영향을 미친다고 볼 때 이와 관련된 연구가 더욱 활발하게 이루어져야 할 것이다. 이러한 맥락에서 지역사회복지시설 이용노인의 사회적 관계망과 정신건강에 관하여 스트레스, 우울, 자살사고를 중심으로 알아보고, 선행연구들을 통하여 추론된 내용을 토대로 다각적인 사회적 관계망 강화를 위하여 보다 신뢰도 높은 연구를 위하여 연구대상 확대와 사회적 관계망이 정신건강에 미치는 영향력을 보여 줄 수 있는 연구가 진행 될 수 있도록 제언하고자 한다.

본 작품은 안전 사각지대에 놓여있는 노약자들을 대상으로 낙상을 예방하고, 응급 상황 시 긴급 신고가 가능한 안전바와 응급호출 시스템을 제공한다. 본 작품이 요구하는 각종 기능은 안전바 내부에 센서를 부착하고 그에 맞는 소프트웨어를 추가하여 구현하였다. 또한 어플리케이션을 통해 보호자와 연결되어, 응급상황 시 보호자가 노약자가 처한 상황을 빠르게 인지하여 대처할 수 있도록 하였다.

Healing Yoga is old women know the change of stress and physical ability. The purpose of the study, to live a healthy life articles. Research for A living in the city. And B goes to the welfare center. The elderly women over the age of 65 and have no problem with physical activity in daily life. 8 experimental group control group 8 to 12-week healing yoga. Body composition and physical ability in the experimental group had changed. The change of stress levels, there was no statistical change in the sub factors. The average value by deep social role in the exam group many growth and self-reliance. Depressed, sleep disorders, general health and vitality in the control group showed a reduction greater than the factors.
