The Stability Criteria adopted by the 1969 Standard Ship Design Committee of the Society of Naval Architects are presented and discussed from a personal point of view. The Stability criteria are derived primarily from a similar standard now in practice in Japan expect the design wind condition and a addition of a buoyancy standard.

The coldproofness should be studied in order to operate the freight car by connecting the South and North Korea Railway. Actually, there is no standard for coldproofness in South Korea Railway, The standard for coldproofness of the Russian Railway, the Chiness Railway and the North Korea Railway was studied. From the analysis of these standards, the standard of coldproofness was proposed for the freight vehicle connecting the South and North Korean Railway.

Korea gas industrial because of received LNG in 1987 was converted by the Gas Safety Management System in relation to city gas, LPG and LNG. Gas accident were caused by treatment problem on the supplier and user, on technical and use management mater, on facilities and goods, and included problem with gas safety connection system. This study is present standard application plan of each department to use planning gas technical standard and gas utilization standard of introduction model than statute for change of self-regulation management system and complicated regulation of examination center and order.

For quantitative N depth profiling, N profiles were measured in a～3 m Si oxynitride by low energy O$\sub$2+/sputtering and the result was calibrated with MEIS analysis of the N thickness and areal density. The quantitative depth profile of nitrogen showed the pileup of nitrogen atoms at the interface of ultrathin oxynitride films.

In 15 schools where were chosen each location (East, West, South, North, Central) of Seoul area, 9 items were measured such as thermo circumstance(temperature, relative humidity, air current, intensity of illumination) particulate matter, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen dioxide being based on the school indoor environment standard. It was showed that indoor temperature, relative humidity and air movement were suitable in comparison with school indoor environment standard. Intensity of illumination was suitable in comparison with all schools, only exception 2 schools. In all investigated schools were adequate for carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide, in which each indoor environment standard (10ppw, 0.25ppm/hr, 0.15ppm/hr), but in 5 schools the carbon dioxide were exceeded for standard limit 1,000ppm of Korea. Indoor concentration of dust(PM-10) induced from respiration dust the standard of Korea ($150{\mu}g/m^3$) at all schools.

Evaluation of Brinell standard hardness tester was carried out to secure its application as a national standard for Brinell hardness. Accuracies and reliabilities in load application, indenter diameter and indentation measurement were tested through evaluation of these components. The accuracies of load application for various loading conditions were within the limit of ISO and KS specifications. Errors in the indentation measurement due to the difference in personnel characters were successfully removed by utilising automatic indentation measurement system. In overall, the tester and the indentation measuring system were found to be eligible as a national standard of Brinell hardness.

Korean defense specifications are the technical criteria of military products and major factor of acquisition system. Weapon systems and acquisition technique have been advanced dramatically after 1990's, but Korean defense specification practice standard has stayed after early 1980's except embedded software. The current status of current Korean defense specification practice standard and trend of related design and acquisition techniques like M&S, SBA, and digital manufacturing have been reviewed. This paper suggests that transfer to product, IT oriented specification structure, adaptation of digital product model and reinforcement of engineering management systems to establish a development initiative of Korean defense specification practice standard.

Recently in Korea, noise is one of the most important social issues because the living standard becomes more higher. Railway noise is also annoying one in our society, although railway has very positive role in our country. The major measures for mitigation of railway noise in Korea are rail welding and installation of noise barrier on the noisy area. But these measures have its own limit for the calm and comfortable living environment. In Europe the railway noise problem has been treated more systematically and aggressively, there has been emission noise standard for Trans-European rail network. In this paper, the trend of noise standard for railway vehicles will be reported and the check point for our country will be discussed.

The electromagnetic coupling effect in standard CMOS process is simulated and evaluated. EM coupling transfer characteristic between planar spiral inductors by isolation methode in standard CMOS have simulated and measured. Measurement results show that suppression of EM coupling effect by ground guardring. The evaluated structures are fabricated 1P5M(one poly, five metal) 0.25um standard CMOS process. These measurement results provide a isolation design guidelines in standard CMOS process for Rf coupling suppression.
