We in this paper propose a semantic search system using the basic ontology in Korean medicine field. The basic ontology provides a formalization of medicinal materials, formulas, and diseases of Korean medicine. Recently, many studies for the semantic search system have been proposed. However, they do not support the semantic search and reasoning in the domain of Korean medicine because they do not have the Korean medicine ontology. Our system provides the semantic search features of semantic keyword recommendation, associated information browsing, and ontology reasoning based on the basic ontology. In addition, they also have the features of ontology search of a form of table and graph, synonym search, and external Open API supports. The general search engines usually provide search results for the simple keyword, while our system can also provide the associated information with respect to search results by using ontology so that can recommend more exact results to users.
The purpose of this study is to establish an appropriate protocol for breast magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the discipline of image quality standards. The intention of the protocol is to increase effectiveness of medical image information exchange involved in construction, activation, and exchange of clinical information for healthcare.
In this study, advanced model for quality control of oriental medicine and methods for practice was suggested through literature inspection, analysis of foreign system such as China and Japan, survey analysis on the current system, quality analysis of randomly selected oriental medicine samples, and intensive discussions among oriental medicine specialists 1. The quality of oriental medicine should be consistently controlled by Ministry of Health and Welfare form its cultivation or import to its circulation process to final consumer 2. All oriental medicines should be circulated as standardized goods which should be marked by lot numbers. The packing material and Packing size should be liberalized. The qualify should be differentialized though free competition among makers. 3. Realistic standards for pesticide, heavy metal and decolorant should be established though long-term monitoring process according to each oriental medicine's origin, therapeutic part, cultivation area, harvesting time, and cultivation method. 4. Ministry of Health and Welfare should educate oriental medicine's quality control personnel regularly or on demand, and establish specialist pool. Ministry of Health and Welfare should also establish oriental medicine information system to provide informations about quality of domestic or foreign oriental medicinal raw materials. 5. The government should provide information about foreign of oriental medicine market to importers. Quality of imported oriental medicine should be inspected before its customs clearance, and all imported oriental medicine should be circulated by standardized oriental medicine makers. 6. Oriental medicine's pharmacopoeia should be Published to provide quality standard of oriental medicine and improve it.

Objectives The purpose of this study was to develop mobile a application that evaluate the Mibyeong(deterioration of the health) in daily life and provide optimal Yangseng(養生) interventions according to the Korean medicine types. Methods The evaluation of Mibyeong utilized questionnaire or objective informations including Facial photographs and hemodynamic information. The Korean medicine type classification was reconstructed based on the concept of Sasang constitution and cold-heat pattern identification. Yangseng interventions were recommended based on Mibyeong symptoms, Korean medicine types, and demographic information. And we have developed tracking and ranking functions for user motivations. We used a Korean medicine database that focused on healthy people as a reference data, and used Yangseng interventions database that reinterpreted classical Yangseng in a modern way. Results and Conclusions We have developed a mobile application that evaluates the user's Mibyeong state and provides optimal Yangseng interventions based on Korean medicine types. This study are expected to improve the quality of health and contribute to the prevention of diseases.
Although the state of medicine in North Korea is of great interest, there is little information, if any, about the present state of medicine in North Korea. Even North Korea's laws and regulations on medicine are not publicly available. It is plausible that the dictator's commands or the policy of the Communist Party may be superior to the nation's constitution and laws on medical education and much more. Information is only available from a limited number of publications and mainly from the statements of refugees, which differ greatly among themselves. No one refugee could provide authoritative data or information because they were never in the position to see the larger picture or have experience over the long term. However, what is known is that the major health professions in North Korea include physicians (medical doctors), stomatologists (oral doctors), 'Koryo' doctors (doctors of Korean traditional medicine), midwives, and nurses. The names and the founding year of each of the regular medical schools are listed along with the change and restoration of names of schools. It is known that there have been quasi-physicians and semi-physicians. However, the reasons for any changes that have taken place also remain unknown. The educational system, curriculum, and even the number of years of training needed to qualify to become a physician have varied from time to time.
This study is concerned with the patentability and protection of intellectual property rights in Traditional Korea Medicine Paper. The results analyzed significance of patentability by investigated for many kinds of Traditional Korea Medicine Paper. It provide extension of intellectual property rights protection and further research region of TKM field by analysing information of patentability. Recently, In the protection of intellectual property rights, the importance of traditional knowledge resource in many country is increased. It will predict the number of apply for the patent increased annually This study will be provide judging guideline and strategy of intellectual property rights protection by search to detect all existing similar patents in Patent Office (Korea, Japan, U.S.A. EPO) about Traditional Korea Medicine Paper. As a result, It can not be investigated about 33% because of paper research or theoretical study or question investigation etc. But the case of 'The Korea Association of Herbology' and 'The Korean Oriental Medical Ophthalmology & Otolaryngology & Dematology Society' have about 10% rate. If it will be constructed DB system, they will be protected by national treatment.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find differences in the demographics of toxic exposed patients and substance between call based poison information data and hospital based poison information data. Methods: Seoul 1339 call-response data were used as call based poison data and toxic related injury surveillance data of the Korean center for disease control and prevention (KCDC) were used as hospital based poison data. Age, sex, the kind of exposed substance, reasons for exposure, and exposure routes were compared between two data sets. We analyzed the presence or not of documentation on the name and amount of exposed substance, symptoms after exposure in call based poison data. Results: Seoul1339 poison data included a total of 2260 information related to toxic exposure and KCDC poison data included 5650 poison cases. There was no difference in sexual distribution. Pediatric exposure and accidental exposure were more common in call based poison data. The most common exposed substances were household products in call based poison data and medicines in hospital based poison data, respectively. Documents regarding amount and time of toxic exposure and symptoms after toxic exposure were not recorded exactly in call based poison data. Conclusion: There were significant differences in age, reasons for toxic exposure, and the kinds of exposed substances. Poison information data from both pre-hospital and hospital must be considered.
Objective : Arnebiae Radix, the roots of Arnebia euchroma (Royle) Johnst. or A. guttata Bunge, is a well-known traditional herbal medicine in East Asia. In the Korean Pharmacopoeia, three authentic species, including two Arnebia and Lithospermum erythrorhizon Sieb. et Zucc. have recognized as a Lithospermi Radix. But, the morphological and taxonomic information of two authentic Arnebia species lacks date since their distribution and difficulty of accessing the natural habitats. Methods : A full description of the external morphological characteristics of vegetative and reproductive organs in the original plants was carried out using digital calipers and stereoscope. For providing their taxonomic and nomenclatural synonyms, we reviewed various plant checklists and taxonomic literature. Results : This study provides taxonomic information of A. euchroma and A. guttata based on a morphological examination of authentic plant individuals and field observations. Detailed descriptions of the two Arnebia species, major quantitative and qualitative characteristics, nomenclatural reviews, distribution maps, and lists of voucher specimens examined are provided. The shape of leaves, root length, stem number, calyx length and pubescence as well as corolla color were useful characteristics for identification. Moreover, we confirmed that A. euchroma and A. guttata are clearly heterostylous species. Conclusion : Our research provides valuable basic information that could be used as quality control for distinguishing between Arnebiae Radix and its adulterants. These results will help in the understanding of authentic plants and also provide the verified materials and voucher information.

Objectives : In this study, we investigated the trends of cohort project in domestic and overseas, and suggested the necessity of cohort on korean medicine and the direction of research. Methods : The papers which include cohort in the title and published by 2015 were searched using PubMed. In order to study the history of cohort in domestic and overseas, research trend was investigated based on the websites of each cohort projects and traditional medicine searching engine named OASIS. Results : Using PubMed, 42,802 papers were searched. Most of the studies over 50 % of total articles, however, were conducted in these 6 years. Nevertheless, cohort studies are being actively proceed, the korean medicine based on cohort studies are nonexistent. Therefore, further discussion about cohort study on korean medicine is necessary to gather physiological index and clinical index of korean medicine consistently. Conclusions : Systematically constructed cohort on korean medicine would be the foundation which collects information, such as gene information, bio information, dietary habit, life style, and Pattern identification (辨證), and integrates them. The analysis of massive clinical materials could suggest the basis of Prevention and treatment of korean medicine considering the difference between personal.
