Objectives : Recently, the number of cancer patients who use complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), including oriental medicine, are increasing. Also, evidence for efficacy and safety of cancer CAM is reported continuously. This study was designed to evaluate the quality of the published papers for clinical studies about oriental medical cancer treatment in Korea. Methods : We searched for clinical research papers on the websites of the Korean oriental medical society and subsidiary academies, Korean traditional knowledge portal. Koreanstudies information service system (KISS), etc. We used the reference words 'cancer', 'malignant tumor', 'leukemia', 'lymphoma', 'multiple myeloma', 'melanoma', etc, We then chose studies that had been presented between 1991 and 2008 and analyzed them by publication year, design, cancer type, intervention, subject and journal. Results : There were 86 clinical research papers that were published between 1991 and 2008. The number of clinical studies has increased in a time-dependent manner. Case reports and case series studies account for 78% of total clinical research. Studies of lung cancer account for 17%. Studies of cancer-related symptoms of cancer patients account for 38%. Studies of Hang-Am-Dan account for 33%. Studies published in the journal of the Korean Society of Oriental Internal Medicine account for 35%. Conclusion : The clinical research papers about oriental medicine are increasing over time, but most of the studies are retrospective case reports or case series. Well-designed and prospective clinical trials would be recommended to provide more reliable evidence.
Objectives The aim of this review is to analyse the study tendency in papers related with sibjeondaebotang (Shiquan dabutang) which are published in Korea from 2000 to 2013. Methods We searched the four electronic database (NSDL, RISS, Korean traditional knowledge portal, OASIS) and checked relevant Korean journals from 2000 to 2013. We classified the papers by publish date, speciality, study method, and field of study, and analysed the study tendency. Results 1. 4 papers were published annually on average. 2. After classifying papers by the speciality of journal, continuous study was followed not only in korean medicine, but also in many specialities like Dietetics, Biotechnology and Pharmacology. 3. In study methods, clinical case was 29%, in vivo was 26%, and in vitro was 26%. 4. After classifying papers by field of study, beneficial effect was 62%, toxicity was 14%, qualitative analysis was 9%, and adverse effect and pharmacology was 3%. 5. In beneficial effect, it is effective in antioxidation, treatment and prevention of neurologic disease, skin disease, gynecologic disease and so on. It has also an effect in enhancing the immune system, improving the dysfunction of organs, and it can also be used for anticancer and anti-metastatic purpose. Conclusions These results suggest that Sibjeondaebotang (Shiquan dabutang) can be used as cure medicine, not just as herbal tonic, but there are not sufficient evidence based papers, so there should be further studies in order to establish Sibjeondaebotang as a cure medicine.
The service that has recently come into the spotlight utilizes the map to first approach the map and then provide various mash-up formed results through the interface. This service can provide precise information to the users but the map is barely reusable. The sketch-map system of this paper, unlike the existing large map system, uses the method of presenting the specific spot and route in XML document and then clustering among sketch-maps. The map service system is designed to show the optimum route to the destination in a simple outline map. It is done by renovating the spot presented by the map into optimum contents. This service system, through the process of analyzing, splitting and clustering of the sketch-map's XML document input, creates a valid form of a sketch-map. It uses the LCS(Longest Common Subsequence) algorithm for splitting and merging sketch-map in the process of query. In addition, the simulation of this system's expected effects is provided. It shows how the maps that share information and knowledge assemble to form a large map and thus presents the system's ability and role as a new research portal.

In recent years, there have been tries to open public data from various government agencies along with publicization of public information for the public interest. In other words, various kinds of electronic data generated and collected by the public institutions as a result of their work are opened in the public portal sites. However, users who use it are limited in their use of big data due to lack of understanding of data format, lack of data processing knowledge, difficulty in accessing and managing data, and lack of visualization data to understand collected and stored data. Therefore, in this study, we propose a big data collection, storing and visualization platform that can collect big data provided by various public sites using data set URL and API regardless of data format, re-process collected data using XML structure.
Objective : The aim of this review is to analyze the study tendency in papers on Gyejibokryeong-hwan had been published in Korea from 1990 to 2014. Methods : We searched the four electronic database(NSDL, RISS, Korean traditional knowledge portal, OASIS) and checked relevant Korean journals from 1990 to 2014. Despite rapid changes in the structure of industry, manufacturing remains a key industry for economic progress, promotion of trade, increased employment, and the creation of new industries. Production technologies are essential for strengthening the competitiveness of small- and medium-sized manufacturing industries. However, it is very difficult to standardize and systematically propagate production technology from an experienced worker to an inexperienced worker because these technologies are generally improved by the skilled people in a workshop. In this study, we introduce a Web-based platform system consisting of a knowledge authoring tool, technology database, semantic database, and Web portal service for sharing production technologies for the exterior housing parts of mobile products. By investigating various cellular phone designs, reference form factors for three types of mobile phone housings were designed based on the standard features. In addition, several manufacturing technologies and considerable information such as reference mold designs and molding conditions optimized using CAE and recent R&D outputs are stored in this system.
The information security disclosure system (ISDS) has been implemented since 2016 to ensure the protection of stakeholders and the right to know, and to promote voluntary investment in information protection by companies. Regarding the information security disclosure system, there have been studies that urge the implementation of the system, but studies that analyze the contents disclosed after the implementation of the system or suggest improvement directions are few. In this study, the contents of the information security disclosure system that had been announced on the information security industry promotion portal until 2019 were analyzed, the current status was summarized, and the direction of system improvement was suggested. In some cases, companies that disclosed information through the disclosure system increased the number of personnel in charge and obtained certifications related to information security, but did not find any effect on the increase/decrease in investment. The current disclosure system has not been activated because it has difficulty in giving individual companies incentives to disclose. Thus, this study suggests the inclusion of ISDS to information security management system (ISMS), which is currently mandatory for certain companies. In the current disclosure system, it is difficult for the company's stakeholders or customers to check the contents of the disclosure. As a way to do this, a method of including in the contents of the personal information processing policy or the notification of the use of personal information was suggested.
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of moxibustion for primary dysmenorrhea (PD). Methods: We searched 10 electronic databases (CNKI, WANFANG, VIP, AMED, CiNii, Embase, PubMed, Cochrane, OASIS, Korea Traditional Knowledge Portal) to identify eligible studies published before November 2016. We included randomized controlled clinical trials (RCTs) using moxibustion for primary dysmenorrhea. The methodological quality of each RCT was assessed by the Cochrane risk of bias tool. Results: Ten RCT studies were eligible in our review. The overall risk of bias was evaluated as unclear. The meta-analysis of 4 trials indicated that favorable results for the use of moxibustion. Conclusions: This systematic review and meta-analysis of clinical trials suggests that moxibustion can achieve good efficacy for PD patients. However, because of studies included analysis was biased due to unclear risk of bias and unreliable study design, future high-quality RCT studies are needed to determine the association moxibustion with PD.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to analyze trends in domestic studies on pharmacopuncture therapy for treating cervical disease. Methods: This study was carried out on original copies and abstracts of theses listed in databases or published until July 2014. The search was made on the Oriental medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System (OASIS) the National Digital Science Library (NDSL), and the Korean traditional knowledge portal. Search words were 'pain on cervical spine', 'cervical pain', 'ruptured cervical disk', 'cervical disc disorder', 'stiffness of the neck', 'cervical disk', 'whiplash injury', 'cervicalgia', 'posterior cervical pain', 'neck disability', 'Herniated Nucleus Pulposus (HNP)', and 'Herniated Intervertebral Disc (HIVD)'. Results: Twenty-five clinical theses related to pharmacopuncture were selected and were analyzed by year according to the type of pharmacopuncture used, the academic journal in which the publication appeared, and the effect of pharmacopuncture therapy. Conclusion: The significant conclusions are as follows: (1) Pharmacopunctures used for cervical pain were Bee venom pharmacopuncture, Carthami-flos pharmacopuncture, Scolopendra pharmacopuncture, Ouhyul pharmacopuncturen, Hwangryun pharmacopuncture, Corpus pharmacopuncture, Soyeom pharmacopuncture, Hwangryunhaedoktang pharmacopuncture, Shinbaro phamacopuncture. (2) Randomized controlled trials showed that pharmacopuncture therapy combined with other methods was more effective. (3) In the past, studies oriented toward Bee venom pharmacopuncture were actively pursued, but the number of studies on various other types of pharmacopuncture gradually began to increase. (4) For treating a patient with cervical pain, the type of pharmacopuncture to be used should be selected based on the cause of the disease and the patient's condition.
Background and Objective: Whabyung is a Korean cultural disorder characterized by a combination of emotional stress and physical symptoms. Acupuncture, herbal medicines and other complementary medicinal treatments are used to treat the symptoms of whabyung. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of acupuncture treatment and herbal medicine treatments on anger, anxiety and depression of whabyung. Methods: Using PubMed, CENTRAL, AMED, MEDLINE, EMBASE, MEDLINE, CINAHL, Cnii, CNKI, J-SATGE, PsycArticles, KISS, KoreaMed, kmbase, NDSL, RISS, OASIS and Korean Traditional Knowledge Portal, articles published by March 2017 for whabyung or whabyung-related syndrome were searched. The quality of selected articles was evaluated using RoB and RoBANS. The effects of acupuncture and herbal medicines on anger, anxiety, and depression levels of whabyung patients were considered for meta-analyses. Results: Of the total 2408 articles retrieved from the database, 11 were finally selected and 4 articles were used for meta-analyses. Acupuncture reduced whabyung patients' anger and anxiety. Especially, the state anxiety was significantly reduced (effect size= -0.676, p= .026). Herbal medicine had effects on reducing anxiety and state anger while trait anger was increased without statistical significance. Conclusion: The present study showed the effectiveness of acupuncture and herbal medicines for whabyung patients in general. However, considering the limited availability of articles and the heterogeneity between them included for the meta-analysis, the results should be generalized with caution. In the future, more studies within the structure of evidence-based medicine need to be conducted to generate objective and valid evidences of korean medicine.
