Gaining information via the internet is becoming pivotal in today's society as the internet is becoming the center of knowledge and information. The goal of this study is to present the guideline of web interface design for the elderly who are alienated in gaining information from the Internet. If the internet were more user friendly to the elderly, they would be able to spend more time in doing what they enjoy and also in self development, with the information gained on the internet. This study investigated current portal sites to understand the present situation, surveyed and interviewed the elderly, and researched literatures on how the elderly perceive various stimulants and also researched documents for previous guidelines on interface design for them. This study investigated internet sites which the elderly use to gather information about products and which entice their purchasing desires. The conclusion is that the usability can be improved by eliminating visual dizzy elements in the pages, simplifying the layout and the menu designs which represent the information architecture.

To enhance the rule-based reasoning capability of Semantic Web, the XRML (eXtensible Rule Markup Language) approach embraces the meta-information necessary for the extraction of explicit rules from Web pages and its maintenance. To effectuate the automatic identification of rules from unstructured texts, this research develops a framework of using rule ontology. The ontology can be acquired from a similar site first, and then can be used for multiple sites in the same domain. The procedure of ontology-based rule identification is regarded as a graph search problem with incomplete nodes, and an A* algorithm is devised to solve the problem. The procedure is demonstrated with the domain of shipping rates and return policy comparison portal, which needs rule based reasoning capability to answer the customer's inquiries. An example ontology is created from Amazon.com, and is applied to the many online retailers in the same domain. The experimental result shows a high performance of this approach.

Objectives The aim of this study is to analyse research trends about oriental obesity pattern identification in Korea. Methods We searched the papers with key words of 'obesity' and 'Pattern identification', 'Syndrom differentiation' in Korean database (Korean traditional knowledge portal, KISS, NDSL, DBPIA, KMBASE, Journal of Korean Medicine Rehabilitation, Journal of Korean Medicine for Obesity Research). We classified the papers by year and content. Results We reviewed 28 searched papers. Papers were published between 1992 and 2012. More than half of the total papers were published since 2008. There are 5 studies that focus on development and improvement of oriental obesity pattern identification questionnaire. 9 studies are research about using oriental obesity pattern identification questionnaire. 7 studies are research about Type of oriental obesity pattern identification. 4 studies are literature review of oriental obesity pattern identification. Other studies related to oriental obesity pattern identification are three. Conclusions To improve application and objectification about oriental obesity pattern identification, more clinical and oriental obesity pattern identification questionnaire studies are needed.

Objectives The aim of this review is to analyse the study tendency in papers related with delphi method which are published in Korea from 2006 to 2015. Methods We searched the electronic database (NDSL, RISS, Korean traditional knowledge portal, OASIS) and checked relevant Korean journals from 2006 to 2015. 23 research papers were found and they were analyzed according to the year of publishment, the titles of journals which have the papers, the time of repeated survey and purpose of technique application. Results 1. As we analyzed by years, 2.3 papers were published per year on average. 2. As we analyzed by jounals in which papers were published, 39% of total papers were published in The Journal of the Society of Korean Medicine Diagnostics, 30% were in Korean Journal of Oriental Physiology & Pathology, taking up 69% of total papers. 3. As we analyzed by the number of survey taken in each research, 11 papers surveyed 2 times, 7 papers surveyed 3 times, 1 paper suerveyed one time. 4. As we analyzed by the purpose of technique application, 91% of papers were aimed at the development of questions, 9% of papers were aimed at policy recommendation. Conclusions These results suggest that although many researches were trying to quantify the symptom of patient, to demonstrate on exact data and to accomplish the scientification of diagnosis, the number of paper is insufficient. Therefore, it seems that more researches must be taken afterward.

In the knowledge-information society, many domestic companies put lots of investment in technical development to possess core technologies and intellectual property. However, in the results of passive investment in security to protect their technologies compared to the active investment in technical development, the technology leaks from many companies and research institutes are rapidly increasing. Such increase of technology leaks not only causes damage to companies, but also has harmful effects on national economy directly and indirectly. Even though it has been perceived that a lot of industrial technology leak crimes are committed by former/current workers of small and medium-sized businesses, it is hard to find researches that mainly compare and analyze them. Therefore, this study aimed to understand the actual status of industrial technology leaks by analyzing cases of industrial technology leaks from 2014 to 2016 based on the type of victimized companies, corporate internal leakers' positions, matter of complicity, tools used for technology leaks, and motivation for technology leaks. Through the analysis in each type, the patterns and characteristics of industrial technology leaks were researched, and also the exploratory research on industrial security for the prevention of industrial technology leaks was conducted.

Objectives: This review aims to report the efficacy of Oriental herbal medicine for Female Idiopathic Precocious Puberty Methods: We searched clinical study about precocious puberty from Pubmed, OASIS, Korea Traditional Knowledge Portal and National Assembly Library up to July 2017. Results: Four case reports have been identified. Six cases in total were found. And in the four cases where estradiol (E2) levels were above the normal levels in pre-treatment, the figures dropped to the normal levels in post-treatment. In the three cases with breast development and breast pain in pre-treatment, symptoms improved after the treatment. And, the sustained growth of height was reported in the four cases with the treatment duration of 30 days or more. Conclusions: It has been identified that oriental medicine assisted improvements of hormone levels and breast pain and growth of height on patients with precocious puberty, yet more case reports and well-designed studies would be necessary to guide better oriental herbal medicine treatment of precocious puberty.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate the latest trend of studies on treatments of postoperative rotator cuff tear patients which are published in Korea. Methods : We investigated the studies on the treatments of postoperative rotator cuff tear patients via searching 6(six) Korean web databases(NSDL, RISS, Korean traditional knowledge portal, OASIS, KISTI, KCI). As a result, 16(sixteen) studies were found. We classified the papers by publication date, published journal, method of study, type of treatment, evaluation scale and referencing research ethics. Results : 16(sixteen) papers were published from 2006 to 2017. The papers were published in The journal of Korean shoulder & elbow society, The journal of korean acupuncture & moxibustion medicine, etc. 5(five) randomized controlled trials, 5(five) non-randomized controlled trials, 4(four) case reports and 2(two) Retrospective report have been found. For types of treatment, 6(six) exercise therapies, 3(three) Korean medicine treatments and 7(seven) other treatments have been found. Main evaluation tools were VAS, ROM, NRS and Muscle strength. Conclusions : In this study, we analyzed the latest trend of studies on treatments of postoperative rotator cuff tear patients. Reviewing the international trends of studies on treatments for postoperative rotator cuff tear are essential for the future studies.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of single herbal medicines and Korean herbal medicine complex prescriptions for osteoporosis in Korea. We targeted studies published in domestic journals from January 1, 2013 to April 1, 2021. For domestic databases, RISS, NDSL, OASIS, DBpia, KISS, KISTI, and Korean Traditional Knowledge Portal were used. Words such as "osteoporosis", "herbal medicine", "herbal combination prescription" and "herbal" were combined and searched. A total of 32 studies were selected. Among them, 8 studies were conducted exclusively for animal studies, 18 studies were conducted on cell experiments, and 6 studies were conducted on both animal and cell experiments. There were 18 studies using a single herb and 14 studies using a combination of Herbal medicine. As a result of the investigation of a single herb, it was found that 補陽藥 was most widely used, and it was found that it was mainly used in the herbal combination prescription, mainly for 補陽藥, 補氣藥, and 補陰藥. Studies in animal experiments revealed significant results mainly in bone mineral density, serological indicators, and morphological indicators of bone tissue. In the study of cell experiments, the effects were found in factors related to the differentiation of osteoclasts and inhibitors of inflammation. Through the results of this study, we are able to confirm the effective single herbal medicines and herbal medicine complex prescriptions for the treatment of osteoporosis, and it is expected that they will contribute to clinical treatment.

Objectives : The purpose of this review study is to identify clinical indications of Hwangryunhaedok-tang(HHT) external application and to suggest directions for future research and treatment by analyzing domestic cases applying HHT external treatment except for pharmacopuncture research. Methods : We searched 235 studies published in Korean since 2000 from four domestic databases: Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System(OASIS), Research Information Sharing Service(RISS), Korean Traditional Knowledge Portal(KTKP), and Korean studies Information Service Systems(KISS) using keywords such as 'HTT and external use', 'HHT and external agent' 'HHT and wet dressing', or 'HHT and case'. We excluded duplicate papers, papers related to acupuncture including pharmacopuncture, or papers not related to the topic. Results : We selected and analyzed seven case reports. HHT external agent was used alone in one case, as main treatment in two cases, and as adjuvant treatment in four cases. HHT external application was applied to various skin diseases accompanied by inflammation mainly in the form of wet dressings. Conclusion : HHT external agent may be effective on various skin diseases accompanied by inflammation when applied alone or in combination with other agents according to the treatment stage. Based on this results, further studies will be needed to establish the primary clinical indication of HHT external agent.
