  • The digital TRS(Trunked Radio System) is an excellent alternative for the transmission medium for the DAS(Distribution Automation System). KEPCO(Korea Electric Power Corporation) made the power IT network with digital TRS system. The main function of the radio network is transmitting and receiving information for the DAS. KEPCO's digital TRS is based on TETRA standard. The digital TRS supports data communication for the electric power control and monitoring systems in various ways.

  • This paper proposes an advanced signal processing circuit for a fingerprint sensor based on ridge resistivity. A novel fingerprint integrated sensor using ridge resistivity variation resulting from ridges and valleys on the fingertip is presented. The pixel level simple detection circuit converts from a small and variable sensing current to binary voltage out effectively. The sensor circuit blocks were designed and simulated in a standard CMOS 0.35 ${\mu}m$ process.

  • The usages of the relational database systems have been increased nowadays. However there is a constraint that the standard query language for a database system requests users to know the exact condition for a query. In this paper a FSQL(Fuzzy SQL) systems is proposed and implemented for the imprecise queries which do not include the exact condition. Moreover this system can supply the obvious results for the queries effectively. We define a simple fuzzy query language and use a method using the metadatabase to implement the FSQL system. This FSQL system can be combined with a relational database system without any painful effort.

  • The safety factors of current standard code are considered to be not appropriate compared to design and construction practices, even this safety factors are not determined from probabilistic study but merely from experiences and practices. This study pripose the optimum safety indices based on expected total cost minimization using only three parameters, which are the level of the failure cost to the initial cost by improvement in safety, and the order of the initial cost function.

  • This paper introduce a different-type voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) for PLL frequency synthesizer, And also the architecture of a high speed low-power-consumption CMOS dual-modulus frequency divider is presented. It provides a new approach to high speed operation and low power consumption. The proposed circuits simulate in 0.35 um CMOS standard technology.

  • 최근 국내 지진 발생 위험이 높아짐에 따라 지진 시 소방시설이 정상적으로 작동할 수 있도록 규정할 수 있는 개정법률안이 발표되었다. 소방시설설치유지 및 안전관리에 관한 법률 제 9조의 2에 신설되어 있으며 지진이 발생할 경우 소방시설이 정상적으로 작동될 수 있도록 내진성능이 확보된 소방시설을 설치하도록 규정하고 있지만 그 세부기준은 아직 제시되어 있지 않다.

  • This paper is about the hardware implementation of the Hash algorithm, HAS-160, which is widely used for Internet security and authentication. VHDL modeling was used for its realization and the operation speed has been increased by the optimized scheduling of the operations required for step operations.

  • The high speed of RSFQ circuits is based on the self-resetting in the overdamped Josephson junctions. The SIS technology using Nb/A1$_2$O$_3$/Nb trilayer has been successfully adopted as a standard technology. However the newly suggested SINIS technology attracts interest because the junction itself is overdamped without any external shunt, and provides possibility of simplification of RSFQ circuit design and fabrication. In this paper we demonstrate RSFQ circuit fabrication process using SINIS technology.

  • Herein a review is made on the validation problem of numerical codes applied to floating offshore structures. Since the dynamic behaviour of offshore floating structures in water waves is in general complex and nonlinear, a numerical approach seems to be promising. However, numerical codes are likely involved with uncertainties and they at the present status show apparent scatterness in typical bechmark tests, particularly in second-order wave forces. Convergence test is the minimum requirement for the validation of numerical codes. Some other practical check points are introduced to clarify the potential error sources. It is concluded that a standard procedure for validation must be urgently established sothat numerical methods can safely be used as a rational design tool.
