Study on RFID tag Design and Privacy Protection (RFID tag 설계 및 프라이버시 보호에 관한 연구)

  • RFID in which subminiature IC chip with the indentified information is built a core technique that can recognize, trace and manage various information of an object using radio frequency in the age of Ubiquitous. Several pressing matters about an infringement of Privacy and a security of private information should be settled as soon as possible because an information of specific circumstance can be collected and used without any awareness by others as well as a private information. In addition, various algorithms with high level of security, which is normally used in wire, can be hardly applied to RFID tag because of a lot of restrictions of tag. In this report, designed-RFID tag based on the standard of ISO/IEC 18000-6 and the problems which originated from the technical procedure of that design were analyzed, and the algorithm which could be applied to the designed-tag was also investigated.

  • This paper proposes an object-oriented software development guidance and an evaluation index for the productivity related to Spring Framework 2.5. Spring Framework is a known successful open source standard model for lightweight container architecture. Non EJB and the EBJ architecture to resolve the problem with benefits to support the new architecture is a lightweight container architecture. This architecture, such as the EJB, but not heavy, to provide all of the architecture is possible. The lightweight container architecture is most often used in business spring framework is well-known architecture. Therefore, this research has the Non EJB and the EJB to solve the advantages and disadvantages developed to support the latest spring framework 2.5 lightweight container architecture based on the design and implementation of a hotel reservation system with the objective through the specification of the software previously to provide guidance to development productivity.

  • EMRCA(Explicit Max_min Rate Control Algorithm) switch, which has been proposed in the ATM(Asychronous Transfer Mode) standard, controls the ABR(Available Bit Rate) service traffic in the ATM networks. The ABR service class of ATM networks uses a feedback control mechanism to adapt to varying link capacities. The VS/VD(Virtual Source/Virtual Destination) technique offers the possibility to segment the otherwise end-to-end ABR control loop into separate loops. The improved feedback delay and the control of ABR traffic inside closed segments provide a better performance and QoS(Quality of Service) for ABR connections with respect to throughput, delay, and jitter. This paper is study of an ABR VS/VD flow control method. Linear control theory offers the means to derive correct choices of parameters and to assess performance issues, like stability of the system, during the design phase. The performance goals are a high link utilization, fair bandwidth distribution and robust operation in various environments, which are verified by discrete event simulations. The major contribution of this work is the use of linear control theory to model and design an ABR flow control method tailored for the special layout of a VS/VD switch, the simulation shows that this techniques better than conventional method.

  • RFID technology is considered as a promising solution to increase efficiency of port logistics. Especially active RFID technology, such as e-Seal for container security, is receiving attention nowadays. If active RFID system is combined with passive RFID and legacy bar-code system overall efficiency of port logistics can be improved However, due to the device dependent control interface of RFID readers, there are many difficulties in making active-passive combined RFID system environment. In this paper, we introduce Smart Reader Interface (SRI) system, which provides a device independent RFID reader interrace to control different kinds of RFID readers by hiding device dependent control interface through adapter architecture which is similar to device driver of conventional operating systems. The key design objectives of SRI are the followings; conformance to the related standard. efficiency in processing, easy addition of an adapter for a new RFID reader. Actually, the implemented SRI system can support various kinds of commercial RFID readers, and through the test carried out not only in laboratory but also in the container terminal in the GwangYang Port, its practicality is verified.

  • In recent, rapid and accurate processing for logistics have been required, according as logistics has grown dramatically. Especially, identifying, locating, or tracking objects in ports are important, because ports are gateways to extended markets. In this paper, we describe the design and implementation of a smart tag system for ubiquitous port logistics. Our solution consists of three parts: an active RFID to identify objects, an electronic container seal to charge with security of containers, and a RTLS system to locate objects. Because identification technology for logistics can be read by heterogenous systems, compliance with the international standard is one of the most critical issues. This paper introduces the method to maintain compliance with ISO, and conducts some verifications. In addition, we analyze the system performance such as lifetime, identification rate, and time for multiple tag identification.

Influence Factors for the Safety Assessment on the GPE Blocks during On-shore Transportation (GPE 블록의 연안운송시 안전성 평가를 위한 영향인자)

  • Great number of ships has been built by Korean Shipyards since early of 2,000 due to the expanding worldwide trade. Most of shipyards have enlarged the weight of erection block and many blocks have been assembled in block fabrication factories outside the shipyards to reduce the shipbuilding period. Especially, Giga blocks that exceed 2,000 tons are often assembled by the block fabrication factories outside the shipyard. Generally, the blocks are transported to building dock in shipyard by towing barges. Accident can be occurred during the sea transportation and it may bring about not only the delay of delivery but also a disaster on the ocean environments. Transportation condition of GPE (Grand Pre-Erection) block differs from the ocean going conditions of marine vessels. Special consideration should be included before transportation work in order to guarantee the safety of GPE blocks and barge carriers. In this paper, several examples, which have been investigated to set up the safety standard of transportation of the GPE blocks on coastal routes, are introduced. For the barge transportation on coastal sea route, the design criteria are discussed, considering the design wave, the acceleration induced by wave, structural strength, and the fixture condition of blocks.

Computer Simulation for Gradual Yellowing of Aged Lens and Its Application for Test Devices

  • This paper proposes a simulation algorithm to assess the gradual yellowing vision of the elderly, which refers to the predominance of yellowness in their vision due to aging of the ocular optic media. This algorithm employed the spectral transmittance property of a yellow filter to represent the color appearance perceived by elderly people with yellow vision, and modeled the changes in the color space through a spectrum change in light using the yellow filter effect. The spectral reflectivity data of 1269 Munsell matte color chips were used as reference data. Under the standard conditions of a D65 illuminant and a $10^{\circ}$ observer of 1964 CIE, the spectrum of the 1269 Munsell colors were processed through the yellow filter effect to simulate yellow vision. Various degrees of yellow vision were modeled according to the transmittance percentage of the yellow filter. The color differences before and after the yellow filter effect were calculated using the DE2000 formula, and the color pairs were selected based on the color difference function. These color pairs are distinguishable through normal vision, but the color difference diminishes as the degree of yellow vision increases. Assuming 80% of yellow vision effect, 17 color pairs out of $(1269{\times}1268)/2$ pairs were selected, and for the 90% of yellow vision effect, only 3 color pairs were selected. The result of this study can be utilized for the diagnosis system of gradual yellow vision, making various types of test charts with selected color pairs.

Conservativeness Evaluation of Response Acceleration Method used in Seismic Response Analysis of Power Cable Tunnel (전력구의 지진응답해석에 사용되는 응답진도법의 보수성 평가)

  • In this paper, we present the evaluation results for the conservatism of the response acceleration method (RAM), for seismic response analysis of box-type power cable tunnels. We studied 50 examples, considering the cross sections of 25 power cable tunnels, and two soil conditions for each power cable tunnel. A refined dynamic analysis method considering the soil-structure interaction was further employed to evaluate the conservatism of the RAM. The comparison revelated that the seismic responses computed using the RAM were consistent with those obtained using the refined method, since the averages of response ratio (defined as the ratio of the response by RAM to that of the refined method) approached 1.0, and the standard deviations of the response ratio were less than 5%. Finally, we found that applying a load factor of 1.1 to the response of the RAM allowed for a conservative design for seismic loads.

  • The RC buildings which are constructed on the seaside are followed by KBC(2016) to achieve the minimization of durability damage. To control the corrosion of the reinforcing steel bar by salt attack, W/C should be under 0.4 and specified concrete strength is higher than 35MPa in the concrete/building construction standard specification. Even though it has been proved that the concrete mixed with mineral admixture such as blast furnace slag and fly ash etc. have high strength and durability in previous researches, the beneficial informations are not applied to the codes. Ready-mixed concretes which usually include the admixtures in Busan were tested to certify the salt attack durability. In the same specified concrete strength, remarkable salt attack durability was evaluated in comparison to OPC. For economical and reliable durability design, chloride ion diffusivity should be measured before applying to new building construction.

Position Controller Implementation Using the Fractional Order Derivative (유리차수 미분을 이용한 위치제어기 구현)

  • This study aims to apply the mathematical method of fractional order derivatives to the controller that controls the system response. In general, the Laplace transform of the PID controller has an exponent of the integer order of s. The derivative of the fractional order has a fractional exponent of s when it is transformed by Laplace transform. Therefore, this controller proposes a design method with the result of discrete time conversion. Because controllers with fractional exponents of s are not easy to design. This controller is applied to a standard secondary system and its performance is examined. Then, it applies to solenoid valve which is widely used in industrial field. A Luenberger's observer was designed to estimate the disturbance state and the observed state was applied to the fractional order controller. As a result, uniform and precise control performance was obtained. It was confirmed that the position error of the steady state is within 0.1 [%] and the rising time is within about 0.03 [s].
