Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the validity and reliability of the Korean Version of the Nurses' Self-Concept Instrument (NSCI) geriatric hospital nurses in Korea. Methods: Bilingual nursing professionals performed translation and back-translation. Reliability and validity of the content and construction of the instrument were confirmed. Internal consistency reliability was determined. Construction and concurrent validity were verified using factor analysis and correlation coefficients. Results: The total 14 items for the Korean version of the Nurses' Self-Concept Instrument (NSCI) were retained through item analysis. In explanatory factor analysis, four subcategories were proposed with their names of each factor: 'Leadership', 'Staff relation', 'Knowledge', and 'Care'. The four factors accounted for 78.81% of the variances. The Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ regarding internal consistency were .77~.91 for the NSCI subscales. Correlation among four subcategories ranged .62~.84. Conclusion: The findings show that the Korean version of the Nurses' Self-Concept Instrument is reliable and valid for measuring professional Self-Concept of geriatric hospital nurses in Korea.

The importance of science and technology as the root of exceptional regional economic development has been extolled since the time of Schumpeter. Today emerging technologies are signaling the start of a new economic cycle where regions that are effective in technology translation will gain advantage. The will of policymakers to translate technology into regional job and wealth creation seems to be at an all-time high. Yet an improved process for translating technical development into regional prosperity has proved elusive. If there are no processes other than applying techniques that have worked in the past for other regions to a new region then there is cause for concern. Here the authors seek to add to this field of knowledge by applying elements of the varied cluster theories to provide a basis for policy for regional economic development by turning science and technology into commercial innovation. We provide a review of current cluster theories and discuss the positive and negative issues associated with each. We propose a model that allows interested professionals to utilize aspects of each cluster perspective geared to the realities of their specific area.

Objectives : This study was performed to investigate the knowledge on contacting experiences to foreign patients, the equipments and requirements to make the vitalization method for the oriental medical tourism for foreign patients. Methods : We adopted the focusing group interviews on the oriental medical doctors, nurses and personnels who had the experiences to deal with the oriental medical tourism. Results : For 3 parts, translation into each country's language in program, hospital information, treatment information and homepage should be done and consideration into each country's culture is very important part to know medical tourism patients and prepare the adequate products, and lastly the translater or medical coordinator plays a very important role to connect the hospital personnels with medical tourism patients. Conclusions : Translation in to each country's language concerning medical tourism material and understanding on one's country's culture and a medical coordinator are very important constituents for a successful medical tourism.

Nowadays, studies on the fusion of Semantic Web technologies are being carried out to promote the interoperability and value of sensor data in an IoT environment. To accomplish this, the semantic translation of sensor data is essential for convergence with service domain knowledge. The existing semantic translation technique, however, involves translating from static metadata into semantic data(RDF), and cannot properly process real-time and large-scale features in an IoT environment. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a technique for translating large-scale streaming sensor data generated in an IoT environment into semantic data, using real-time and parallel processing. In this technique, we define rules for semantic translation and store them in the semantic repository. The sensor data is translated in real-time with parallel processing using these pre-defined rules and an ontology-based semantic model. To improve the performance, we use the Apache Storm, a real-time big data analysis framework for parallel processing. The proposed technique was subjected to performance testing with the AWS observation data of the Meteorological Administration, which are large-scale streaming sensor data for demonstration purposes.

This paper presents an ontology construction method using various computational language resources, and an ontology-based word sense disambiguation method. In order to acquire a reasonably practical ontology the Kadokawa thesaurus is extended by inserting additional semantic relations into its hierarchy, which are classified as case relations and other semantic relations. To apply the ontology to disambiguate word senses, we apply the previously-secured dictionary information to select the correct senses of some ambiguous words with high precision, and then use the ontology to disambiguate the remaining ambiguous words. The mutual information between concepts in the ontology was calculated before using the ontology as knowledge for disambiguating word senses. If mutual information is regarded as a weight between ontology concepts, the ontology can be treated as a graph with weighted edges, and then we locate the weighted path from one concept to the other concept. In our practical machine translation system, our word sense disambiguation method achieved a 9% improvement over methods which do not use ontology for Korean translation.

This study is strategically researched to regain the signification of capstone design by correcting the errors neglected the importances of meetings in the convergent English translation capstone design. For this, intial-meetings were designed to be students-centered except for explaining some basic knowledge and information. Mid-meetings were completely students-centered for the students to present their ideas, debate the contents and give feedbacks to one another. Final-meetings were also students-centered for the students to adjust and confirm the results. To validate the importance of students-centered meetings, the qualitative study has been done through interviewing students. In the interviews, almost all of them said they had motivation, confidence, and self-efficacy. Finally attempting capstone design in the future, students-centered meetings should be considered important. Hopefully this kind of capstone design will be used and studied continuedly and lively as a useful method in the field of English education.

$\ulcorner$Euibangyoochui醫方類聚$\lrcorner$ (1445) is regarded as a treasure-house of the knowledge of traditional oriental medicine which contains over 50,000 prescriptions and enormerous amount of medical information. Despite the importance and information contained in this book, it has been rarely used since it was not convenient to use this book. In this study, therefore, the establishment of database on $\ulcorner$Euibangyoochui$\lrcorner$ was carried out. Before the database establishment of $\ulcorner$Euibangyoochui$\lrcorner$ , basic works such as correction, interpretation, proofreading and translation of original text should be done. The results obtained in this study are summaried as follows : 1) During the course of studying the original text of $\ulcorner$Euibangyoochui$\lrcorner$ , the editing process and transmission of medical books in early Chosun dynasty was figured out. 2) For better correction, interpretation, proofreading and translation of $\ulcorner$Euibangyoochui$\lrcorner$ , $\ulcorner$Euibangyoochui$\lrcorner$ microfilms which are the collection of Japanese Royal Library (宮內廳 圖書寮) were obtained in this study. Through this process, the errors in the republication were able to be corrected. 3) Analyzing the organization and compilatory method of $\ulcorner$Euibangyoochui$\lrcorner$ is one of the basic requirements of understanding the scale of the whole. book and establishing database as a result. So the analysis results were used for the basic structuring of database. 4) $\ulcorner$Euibangyoochui$\lrcorner$ CD- ROM was designed in a way that the images of microfilms, original text and Korean translation can be compared by 3-D device. In addition, the convenience and proficiency of imaging the information and prescriptions of the text is one of the remarkable features of this CD-ROM.

Archival appraisal is a key area of archival science. This study aims to identify the knowledge structure of archival appraisal and propose appropriate translation terms. To this end, 34 entry terms related to archival appraisal were first extracted from 146 entries in the Encyclopedia of Archival Science, a leading encyclopedia in the field, and terminologies were categorized based on content analysis. Second, the contents described in the entries were assessed for each category, and the main concepts and flow of discussions were also examined. Third and last, suitable translations for each entry term were presented, and considerations were suggested for the translations, such as the application of appropriate principles of equivalence. Specifically, terms such as "records appraisal" and "archival appraisal" were recommended to be used separately.

국내에서 영한 자동번역 시스템을 1985 년부터 개발한 지 벌써 15년이 흐르고 있다. 15 년의 영한 자동번역 기술개발에도 불구하고 아직도 영한 자동번역 시스템의 번역품질은 40%를 넘지 못하고 있다. 이렇게 번역품질이 낮은 이유는 다음과 같이 요약할 수 있을 것이다. o 입력문에 대해 파싱할 때 오른쪽 경계를 잘못 인식함으로써 구조적 모호성의 발생문제: 예를 들어 등위 접속절에서 오른쪽 등위절이 등위 접속절에 포함되는 지의 모호성. o 번역 단위로써 전체 문장을 대상으로 한 번역패턴이 아닌 구나 절과 같은 부분적인 번역패턴으로 인한 문장 전체의 잘못된 번역 결과 발생. o 점차 증가하는 대용량 번역지식의 구축과 관련해 새로 구축되는 번역 지식과 기구축된 대용량 번역지식들 간의 상호 충돌로 인한 번역 품질의 저하. 이러한 심각한 원인들을 극복하기 위해 본 논문에서는 문틀에 기반한 새로운 영한 자동번역 방법론을 소개하고자 한다. 이 문틀에 기반한 영한 자동번역 방법론은 현재 CNN뉴스 방송 자막을 대상으로 한 영한 자동번역 시스템에서 실제 활용되고 있다. 이 방법론은 기본적으로 data-driven 방법론에 속하다. 문틀 기반 자동번역 방법론은 규칙기반 자동번역 방법론보다는 낮은 단계에서 예제 기반 자동번역 방법론보다는 높은 단계에서 번역을 하는 번역방법론이다. 이 방법론은 영한 자동번역에 뿐만 아니라 다른 언어쌍에서의 번역에도 적용할 수 있을 것이다.

Ontology is an explicit specification of concepts and relationships between concepts in an interest domain. As considered as one of typical knowledge representation methods, ontology is applied to various studies such as information extraction, information integration, information sharing, or knowledge management. In IT based industries, ontology is applied to research on information integration and sharing in order to enhance interoperability between enterprises. In supply chains or logistics, several enterprises participate as business partners to plan movements of goods, and control goods and logistics flows. A number of researches on information integration and sharing for the effective and efficient management of logistics or supply chains have been addressed. In this paper, we address an ontology as a knowledge-base for semantic-based integration of logistics information distributed in the logistics flow. Especially, we focus on developing an ontology that enables to represent and translate semantic meaning of EPC data in the EPC Network applied logistics. We present a scenario for tracing products in logistics in order to show the value of our ontology.
