성격적 특성과 사회인지적 요인이 병원 근무 간호사의 지식공유행동에 미치는 영향 (The effects of Personality Trait and Social Cognitive Factors on Knowledge Sharing Behavior of the Hospital Nurses)

  • This study investigates the antecedents of knowledge sharing behavior focusing on the individual level factors in an assumption that the behavior is initiated from the individual level decisions. A hypothesis that the relation between personality trait and behavior is mediated by the social-cognitive constructs contained in the Theory of Planned Behavior(TPB) is tested. For the study, we suggest a TPB extended model that extends original TPB model by including conscientiousness facet of FFM(Five Factor Model). This study uses a cross-sectional design. Data were collected from a self-reported survey on 197 nurses in a tertiary hospital. The results showes a significant positive relationship between the conscientiousness facet of FFM and knowledge sharing behavior. In the TPB extended model, the conscientiousness facet has significant direct effects on all the constructs of original TPB model. Of the TPB exogenous constructs, the social norm construct alone has a significant effect on intention and the perceived behavioral has a direct significant effect on the knowledge sharing behavior. These results confirm the importance of conscientiousness in predicting knowledge sharing behavior and clarify the characteristics of knowledge sharing behavior as a contextual, job oriented behavior in a workplace. We conclude that personality trait as conceptualized in the FFM needs to be integrated into TPB model in explaining the knowledge sharing behavior. Based on these results theoretical and practical implications are discussed.

개념적 지식과 절차적 지식 간의 불균형한 발달이 학생들의 유리수 영역의 지식 형성에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Unbalanced Development between Conceptual Knowledge and Procedural Knowledge to Knowledge Development of Students' in Rational Number Domain)

  • 이 논문에서 연구자는 중학생들의 수학 학습을 삼 년간에 걸쳐 관찰하면서 그들이 유리수 범위에서 형성한 개념적 지식과 절차적 지식 사이의 발달 관계에 대하여 조사하였다. 특히, 아래의 두 상황에서 학생들의 개념적 지식과 절차적 지식 사이의 불균형한 발달이 이후의 지식 발달에 어떤 영향을 미치는 지에 관하여 조사하였다: (a) 상대적으로 강한 개념적 지식과 약한 절차적 지식을 가진 경우; (b) 상대적으로 약한 개념적 지식과 강한 절차적 지식을 가진 경우. 연구 결과는 개념적 지식과 절차적지식이 균형적인 방식으로 (즉, 아주 근접하게 되풀이되거나 동시에) 발달될 때 가장 생산적이라는 것을 시사하며 또한 어느 한 가지 유형의 지식이 다른 유형의 지식보다 우위에 있다는 가정에 의문에 제시한다.

SWAT: 분산 인-메모리 시스템 기반 SWRL과 ATMS의 효율적 결합 연구 (SWAT: A Study on the Efficient Integration of SWRL and ATMS based on a Distributed In-Memory System)

  • 최근 빅데이터의 시대가 도래하여 다양한 분야로부터 다량의 지식을 얻을 수 있다. 수집된 지식은 정형화된 형태의 지식으로 가공하여 표현되며, 그 중 W3C의 온톨로지 표준 언어인 OWL이 대표적인 정형화 표현 형식이다. 이렇게 표현된 대용량의 온톨로지로부터 내재된 정보를 도출하기 위해 다양한 방법의 심볼릭 추론(Symbolic Reasoning) 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 추론 연구들은 서술논리(Description Logic)표현 기반의 제한적인 규칙표현을 지원하며 실생활 기반의 서비스를 구축하기에는 많은 제약이 따른다. 또한 잘못된 지식으로부터 도출된 결과는 규칙들 사이의 종속관계에 따라 연쇄적으로 잘못된 지식이 생산될 수 있기 때문에 이러한 잘못된 지식에 대한 처리를 위한 지식관리가 필요하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 해당 문제를 해결하기 위해 SWRL(Semantic Web Rule Language) 기반의 추론과 ATMS(Assumption-based Truth Maintenance System)간의 결합을 통해 새롭게 도출된 지식에 대한 관리를 할 수 있는 SWAT(SWRL + ATMS) 시스템을 제안한다. 또한 이 시스템은 대용량 데이터를 처리하기 위해 분산 인-메모리 프레임워크 기반의 SWRL추론과 ATMS를 병합 구축하였으며 이를 바탕으로 웹 형태의 ATMS 모니터링 시스템을 통하여 사용자가 손쉽게 잘못된 지식을 검색 및 수정할 수 있도록 한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법에 대한 평가를 위해 LUBM(Lehigh University Benchmark)데이터 셋을 사용하였으며, 대용량 데이터에 대한 SWRL 추론과 잘못 추론된 정보에 대한 삭제를 통해 효율적인 추론과 관리가 가능한 결합 방법임을 증명한다.

Biological Pathway Extension Using Microarray Gene Expression Data

  • Biological pathways are known as collections of knowledge of certain biological processes. Although knowledge about a pathway is quite significant to further analysis, it covers only tiny portion of genes that exists. In this paper, we suggest a model to extend each individual pathway using a microarray expression data based on the known knowledge about the pathway. We take the Rosetta compendium dataset to extend pathways of Saccharomyces cerevisiae obtained from KEGG (Kyoto Encyclopedia of genes and genomes) database. Before applying our model, we verify the underlying assumption that microarray data reflect the interactive knowledge from pathway, and we evaluate our scoring system by introducing performance function. In the last step, we validate proposed candidates with the help of another type of biological information. We introduced a pathway extending model using its intrinsic structure and microarray expression data. The model provides the suitable candidate genes for each single biological pathway to extend it.

  • Observability of two spacecraft system is considered with relative line-of-sight vector measurements between two spacecraft system for autonomous navigation using the linear observability analysis. First, the dynamical equations and measurement models are introduced, and the basic assumption of attitude knowledge for one of two spacecrafts is explained. Then, we introduce a pair of nominal orbits of two spacecraft system, and the observability analysis for the nominal orbits is presented with the available measurements (for the numerical observability analysis).   • Consumer behavior is driven by culture; and culture is contextual. Therefore, human behaviors such as those exhibited in consumption behavior should not be measured and compared cross-culturally by using cultural specific mea-sures or paradigms which assume a universal reality, time and context free. Since it is known that consumption behavior is influenced by culture, and cultures in the United States differ from those in Korea, the assumption of universal ‘truths’ which can be known is inappropriate. To employ a paradigm with invalid assumptions automatically leads to the lack of validity, a must for truth claims in the positivist paradigm. Thus, 'truths' in the research reported must be suspect.

  • Space-time code is a good solution to get transmit diversity. During the last years a number of space-time block codes have been proposed for use in multiple transmit antenna systems. This code, however, was presented only for the special case of the certain numbers of transmit antennas and the certain modulation schemes. and designed under the assumption that the transmitter has no knowledge about the channel. In this work, on the other hand, we consider the case when the transmitter has partial, but not perfect knowledge about the channel. This system can have full diversity for arbitrary number of the transmit antennas with a little bits of feedback.

Representation of Disabled Community in Mainstream Media

  • There are limited research questioning the relationship between the disabled community and media, particularly in Malaysia. The lack of awareness and common assumption of specialty towards the disabled community have caused a small amount of local disability researches that question the relationship between the disabled community and the media. This research aims to find out the types of representation of disability in the Malaysian mainstream media, particularly press. Interview with visual disabled personnel and content analysis from news coverage of mainstream press are deployed in the study. The findings indicated the invalidity of disability culture as the misrepresentation of disabled community in Malaysia is not as severe as depicted by scholars because the news coverage focusing on them is getting more positive. Besides that, disabled people are not defensive towards the terms used to refer them as long as media practitioners do not over amplify their disability. The application of charity approach is still common in news coverage to portray the disabled community as victim, and therefore they are partially marginalized due to the misrepresentation in Malaysian mainstream press.

A SIMPLE GRANULE MODEL AND ITS EFFECT ON SPECTRAL LINE ASYMMETRY

  • The accumulated knowledge of the influence of solar granulation on spectral lines, i.e. their asymmetry, provides a key to analyze stellar spectral line asymmetries. In this paper, a simple line synthesis using a simple 'model' of granulation was calculated. By adjusting the properties of the granule model, the observed imprints of convection on spectral lines can be reproduced. Since we depict convective flows using a continuous function rather than using a few components of flows (cf. Gray and Toner 1985, 1986; dravins 1990), we were able to identify which components of convection are important in line bisector shapes. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: Firstly, the intensity contrast (i.e. temperature fluctuation), and the area coverage of up- and down-flows are the two important factors which determine the line bisector shapes. Secondly, on the contrary to the assumption of other studies, the effect of horizontal flows is non-negligible. This exercise provides a qualitative understanding of the effect of convection on spectral lines. This knowledge serves as a guideline for understanding the characteristic difference in convection for stars on either side of the 'Granulation Boundary' (Gray 1982; Gray and Nagel 1989).

전자투표 시스템을 위한 효율적인 믹스넷 (An Efficient Mixnet for Electronic Voting Systems)

  • 2010년, Sebe 등은 원격 투표에 사용할 수 있는, 가벼우면서도 효율적인 믹스넷 방식을 제안하였다. 이 방식은 암호학적 해쉬연산 만을 이용하기 때문에 기존 방식처럼 복잡한 영지식증명(zero-knowledge proofs)이 필요없이 간단하면서도 믹스넷의 동작을 효율적으로 증명할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 Sebe 등이 이용한 가정 사항을 그대로 유지하면서 보다 효율적인 믹스넷을 제안한다.
