Users' Satisfaction Analysis of Kiosk Contents in the Bus Stop

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the user satisfaction of kiosk contents installed at bus stops in Seoul. A total of 400 kiosks, which are touch-based traffic information systems, are installed and operated, providing contents such as bus routes, marginal area, seoul tourism, life information, angel donation, transportation cards, magnifier and boarding requests. The study results showed that the user satisfaction scores of bus routes and transportation cards were high, but it was necessary to improve other contents. The results of this study will be used as basic data to propose user experience(UX) of public service design. We will also use it as content guidelines for public information kiosks to be developed in the future.

  • 본 논문은 공용부 기반 건강관리 Kiosk 개발을 통한 생체정보 및 건강 설문을 수집하여 Wellness Index 및 Expert 판정시스템을 통해 건강상태를 판정하고, 판정결과를 바탕을 개인 맞춤형 운동 및 영양정보 등을 추천하는 시스템 설계에 관한 연구이다. 본 시스템은 바이오 생체정보 측정 데이터를 기반으로 하고 있으며, 건강 설문모델 및 Framework 과 Expert 판정 모델 및 Framework을 키오스크 시스템으로 구현하여 사용자에게 건강관련 맞춤 정보를 제공하는 기능을 포함한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 블루투스 노드와 블루투스 AP(Access Point)를 이용하여 영화관, 기차역, 은행, 관공서 등의 다양한 장소의 키오스크 서버(Kiosk Server)에 모바일 기기로 원격으로 접속한다. 이때 모바일 단말기기는 사용자의 입력과 출력만을 담당하고 키오스크 서버는 전달된 데이터를 처리하여 사용자에게 전달하는 Profile의 프레임워크를 설계 한다.

  • This paper introduces design and implementation of digital photo kiosk system, digital photo printing system, with auto color correction module that considers gamut between touch screen and output device, digital photo printer, to provide user-preferred media. This module performs media correction function to service high quality contents for image captured by digital camera and mobile phone camera. Since it is implemented as LUT for real-time processing, the system offers one-touch interface to user. As a result of implementation, this kiosk system provides user-favorite photo because of black and white mode, sepia mode, and brightness and contrast adjustment. Also it can gives smooth tone transition and photos of similar color to captured image due to auto color correction module.

  • Due to the fourth industrial revolution and the Corona19, the availability of digital devices such as kiosks is a matter directly related to survival for older adults with digital divide. This paper analyzes the problems of existing information service education for older adults and proposes an IT education strategy tailored to aging and life cycle of older adults. The proposed in this study is an educational application-based IT training method that supports repetitive learning regardless of time and place, developing kiosk function as a functional game-type educational application and experimenting with post-training effectiveness. The research method proposed UI usability evaluation frame for older adults, and developed educational applications based on proposed evaluation frame, and conducted kiosk education. As a result of the experiment, the mission success rate after using the IT application was 80.6%, which is a 55.1%P improvement compared to the pre-use(25.5%). This study confirmed that the proposed education for older adults is a way to overcome the limitations of existing IT education in the current situation.

  • Last few years have seen a rapid increase in research on ubiquitous computing. Ubiquitous computing is often touted as a technology that will make computing available to the user anywhere and anytime. One important problem to be addressed in building such a ubiquitous computing environment is how to manage services and deliver them to the user in an effective manner. This paper presents our model called Personal Kiosk(PK) as a way of solving the problem. PK is a model of ubiquitous service provisioning that enables the user to use desired services anytime and anywhere. The design and implementation of the current PK in the 'Local Area' setting with related technical issues are also presented. A location-sensing technique for indoor users and a personalized service provisioning based on user location and privileges are discussed in detail.

  • This study applied the Q methodology to the graduate students of the department of food service management in Seoul to grasp the subjective perception of customers using the big blur phenomenon and the introduction of the kiosk. As a result of the analysis, five types were derived. (N = 6): Fast payment and various order preference types, the second type (N = 6): Earning and discount benefits preference type, the third type (N = 3): Simple order preference type, The fourth type (N = 2): Employee service preference type, and the fifth type (N = 3): Safety payment preference type. In the future, the research on the Big Blur phenomenon of eating out company will be refined through more detailed Q methodological questions with analytical techniques based on extensive literature and empirical studies, and to analyze the various opinions of respondents more concretely and objectively.

Influence of Ordering Kiosk Nutrition Information Transparency and Information Quality on the Customer Behavioral Intention in Fast Food Restaurants (패스트푸드 키오스크 영양정보의 투명성과 정보품질이 고객 행동에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examined the perception and behavior of fast food restaurant customers toward ordering kiosk nutrition information. Specifically, the influence of nutrition information transparency and information quality on behavioral intention and revisit intention were identified. In addition, the difference in the nutrition information transparency and information quality was analyzed according to the health consciousness of the customers. The study employed a self-administered survey that was distributed both online and offline from November 8~22, 2018. The sample of the study was customers who had experienced ordering from the kiosk in a fast food restaurant in the six months prior to taking the survey. A total of 250 (98.0%) respondents completed the survey, which was used for data analysis. As a result, there was a significant relation between transparency and nutrition information quality (P<0.001). The higher the visibility and inferability of the nutrition information, the better the nutrition information quality. Nutrition information quality has a significant impact on the levels of customer satisfaction and revisit intention (P<0.001). For the differences in the transparency and nutrition information quality by health consciousness of customers, the results indicated that groups with high health consciousness (3.74 or higher) perceived a higher transparency and nutritional information quality than those with a lower health consciousness. These findings can form the basis of a strategy in developing nutrition information of ordering kiosks in restaurants. In addition, it can be applied to academia and industry.

  • Recently, the number of unmanned stores is increasing due to COVID-19. In unmanned stores, payments are mainly made using kiosks, but some people with physical disabilities or people with disabilities who use wheelchairs are not easy to use it. Also, young children and the elderly are also having difficulty using new technologies such as kiosks as they get older. In this study, in order to compensate for these problems, we intend to design and implement a system capable of performing order by a speech recognition function as well as a visual system when a user interacts with a kiosk.
