This study was conducted a comparative study to identify the differences in service quality between Incheon and Kimpo international Airport and critical factors influencing satisfaction of airport customers. According the results of this study, all service quality factors except the service factor of geographical location of Incheon international airport are better than those of Kimpo international airport. However, all of service quality factors of Incheon airport are evaluated as inferior to those of american, western european and japanese international airports by both the airport visitors and the employees of one korean airliner. In addition the service factors such as response, safety, airport facility and geographical location are found as critical factors influencing satisfaction of the airport visitors and the airliner's employees. Among them the service quality factor of geographical location of Incheon airport is much inferior to that of Kimpo airport comparing with other service quality factors. Thus, the results of this study suggest that the managing team implement TQM and six sigma to enhance the service quality level of the Incheon international airport up to that of the american and western european international airport. Especially, it is strongly required that the Korean governmen deliberate in deciding the geographical location in case of planning new international airport because geographical location is related to not only traffic to airport but also safety of landing, taking off and flying.

The atmosphere condition at Kimpo International Airport occasionally prevents the aircraft from landing and forces them to fly to an alternate airport, especially in October and November during a year. Many airlines designated foreign airports instead of Korean airports as alternate airports in the case of the bad weather condition preventing use of Kimpo Airport. This paper addresses 1) economic comparison of candidates for the alternate airport, 2) what are the criteria for the alternate airport selection and the relative importance among the criteria and 3) evaluation of candidates for alternate airport using Brown and Gibson's pair-wise comparison method. It is found to be possible to reduce costs related alternate flight by 36% using Korean airports rather than using Japan's Hukuoka Airport. However, airlines weigh more on the factors such as service level of ground handling, accommodation for passengers and ground access convenience than costs. Among Korean airports, Kimhae International Airport is found the most favorable airport as the alternate airport for Kimpo International Airport.

2001년 인천국제공항의 개장과 함께 과거 우리나라 항공 수출입 관문 역할을 담당하던 김포공항의 항공물류 거점 기능은 급격히 쇠퇴하였다. 그러나 김포공항 지역의 입지적 이점에 힘입어 김포공항 물류단지는 오늘날 수도권의 중요한 도시물류 거점시설로 기능하고 있다. 분석결과 인천공항의 배후물류단지, 수입화물 중심의 부가가치 물류활동 그리고 수도권 지역의 도시물류 배송센터 역할 등은 현재 김포공항 물류단지에서 수행되는 대표적인 기능으로 파악된다. 하지만 도시물류 거점시설로서 공항물류단지의 기능은 향후 운영주체(공항공사)의 수익성 제고 전략에 따라 축소될 우려가 있다. 김포공항 물류단지가 공공 기능을 수행하는 도시물류 거점시설로 지속적으로 발전하기 위해서는 국가 및 지역 단위 물류거점(시설) 개발전략과 체계적으로 연계되어야 하며, 이를 위해서는 관련 법령 및 기본계획의 종합적인 정비가 수반되어야 할 것이다.

Kimpo International Airport, located within the Seoul metropolitan district, experienced a sudden surge of passengers and cargo in recent years. In 1990, MOCT sponsored feasibility studios and Youngjong Island location was selected as the most suitable choice among four proposed sites to build a new airport. The construction work was then commenced in November 1992. Phase I project facilities are scheduled to start its operation in March 2001 with an annual capacity of 27 million passengers and 1.7 million tons of cargo for both enplaning and deplaning from International liners. Kimpo International Airport will remain in operation primarily for domestic passengers and cargo only. Phase II project construction work will add two more runways with its related facilities by 2005. Inchon International Airport will then conveniently serve 100 million passengers for enplaning and deplaning, and 7 million tons of inbound and outbound cargo annually in its full capacity. All the airport facilities In phase I and phase II periods are constructed to meet international standards. A fully integrated transportation network and logistics function systems should be accomplished prior to the full operation of the airport. With these sccomplishments, the state-of-the-art airport is poised to meet the needs of a rapidly growing worldwide air transport industry, and will more than adequately fulfill its role as a hub airport for the Northeast Asia region.

On the basis of KTMPO visibility data measured for 17 years(Jan.1983 to Oct.1999), time-series data analysis is accomplished for regression trend, cyclical periodicity, dependency of these data in this paper. After that, to predict visibility in KIMPO international airport a probability model is presented using this statistic probability characteristics.

KORAIL airport railroad is the largest private invested project and also the first private tried rail SOC, but which was acquisited into KORAIL on 30. Nov. 2009. Presently, airport train opened on 23. MAR. 2007 as the first phase(Inchon international airport - Kimpo airport, operation distance 37.6km), the 2nd phase(Kimpo airport - Seoul station, operation distacne 20.4km) is expected at the late this year. In this study, I tried to compare domestic & foreign airport train in the perspective of transfer system and searched for the development agendas.

Aircraft noise in the vicinity of Kimpo international airport has damaged to large number of people who live in communities. This paper investigates noise exposed area due to aircraft flight based on prediction modeling program INM and flight path data. Especially effect on route for aircraft has been considered. Ti also examines noise impact for various flight modes, such as a thrust cutback climb method.

The new concept of level of service for the airport system indicates that there must be strong stimulation to proceed with the current stereotyped service standards which are being criticised due to their being based on, either physical capacity/volume or temporal/spatial standards that directly incorporates the perception of passengers. Quantitative factors have been dealt with the main service measurements when evaluating level of service. However, the passenger's perception for the provision service at the airport system is definitely important consideration to assess level of service. To enhance the reliability of service level evaluation from the passenger's point of view, this study has adopted three main evaluation factors ; temporal/spatial factors as quantitative measurements and comfort and reasonable service factors as qualitative measurements. The multi-decision model was constructed using Fuzzy Set Theory and applied to a case study at Seoul Kimpo International Airport. Results are presented in terms of passenger satisfaction with a variety of different values.

This article is about a new law of railroad industry has come into effect in 2004 and that left the railroad company operated under the private system. Accordingly, it has to encounter a variety of managers on the railroad safety part too. Incheon Airport Railroad that was, from Incheon International Airport to Kimpo Airport, opened to traffic on the 23th March, 2007 as the first private railroad company in Korea. This railroad company is working hard to be a safe and convenient airport railroad. There is not operated an effective emergency response that the railroad company and the emergency response personnel without standard operation procedure, recently. The original emergency manual and the emergency procedure of the synthesized railroad safety development business. I am proposing to establish the emergency response scenario according to the different situations that the train operator.
