This research is one of the Industry-University cooperation in idea factory of Korea Maritime and Ocean University. Idea factory of Korea Maritime and Ocean University is trying to train creative talented students and discover ingenious ideas. The contents are consisted of the possibility for the replacement of a metal valve disk to composite valve disk in butterfly valve based on the diversification. Purpose in this study is to predict failure field by each fly by appling Tsai-Wu Failure Index.

As fashion magazines are important socialization influences, our purpose was to examine the content of articles in two teen magazines: one with a long publication history (Seventeen) and one relatively new market entry (Teen Vogue). We addressed the following questions: (1) What are the patterns of content of the feature articles? (2) How frequently is this content related to appearance management or fashion consumption? and (3) What, if any, differences exist in contents between the traditional teen magazine and the new market entry? A content analysis of 1,191 articles published during 2008 and 2009 revealed the largest percentage of content in both magazines was fashion. Other than the topic of fashion, Seventeen concentrated on teen life issues whereas Teen Vogue focused on celebrities. Understanding these are fashion publications, we suggest there are opportunities for both magazines to allocate further attention to other issues in the lives of teens in addition to beauty and consumption.

Acrylic resin(ACR) was blended with a curing agent, hexamethoxymethylmela-mine(HMMM), in which blending ratio was 70:30. The curing behavior was examined using Rheovibron. Cross-linking reaction started at $170^{\circ}C$ in 2 min of reaction and curing was completed in 10 min. It was found that the extent of cross-linking increased with the content of acetoacetoxyethyl methacrylate monomer in the ACR.

In this paper, optimal designs of bicycle frame were studied for weight reduction of bicycle using carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP), glass-fiber-reinforced plastic (GFRP) and Kevlar-fiber-reinforced plastic (KFRP), respectively. Based on the anisotropic properties of FRP material, stacking angle and thickness optimization were performed under the safety reference of European committee for standardization (CEN) to ensure the stability of bicycle frame. Finally, performances of FRP bicycle frame was evaluated by digital logic method based on the optimized results of weight, strength properties and cost. Then, the optimized bicycle frame composed of each FRPs were evaluated and ranked by total performance values.

The distribution of boundary markers, set up during the Yimjin(1712) Boundary Making and Demarcation(YBMD), has less been addressed so far, although it is key material evidence on which we can reconstruct the whole processes of YBMD, together with the correction of widespread myths around YBMD. This paper aims to clarify the questions on the distribution of boundary markers associated with YBMD, built during August 1712 to September 1713, by reinterpreting the key documents of Actual Survey on them: Huh Ryang and Park Dosang(1913), Kim Woosik(1883), Lee Joongha(1885), Wu Luzhen(1907), Osone Seiji(1907), and Liu Jianfeng(1908), together with topographic maps by Japanese Imperial Army(1933), the report of expedition to Mt. Baekdu by Chungjin Teachers' College(1948), and the report of field survey by Jilin province's expedition(1957). As a result, the distribution of boundary markers built in 1712~1713 is successfully reconstructed, and summarized in the format of table and maps.

Objective : This study's purpose was to review the clinical studies of Oryeong-San. Method : We searched papers about Oryeong-San using KISS, KTKP, PUBMED, Embase, Science Direct, and the key words "Goreisan", "Goreito", "Wu Ling San", "Oryeongsan", "Poria Five Powder" were used. Papers not matched with inclusion criteria were excluded. Results : Until today, there have been 133 studies on the effects of head diseases, urinary system diseases, edema, and other various effects of Oryeong-San. Of these, 23 studies were classified as clinical research papers. There were 8 cases of head diseases, 5 cases of urinary system diseases, 3 cases of edema, 2 cases of adjuvant, 1 case of Dysmenorrhea, 1 case of Primary Hypertension, 1 case of Primary Insomnia, 1 case of hydrocele, 1 case of side effects causing TINU syndrome. Conclusion : It can be seen that Oryeong-San has established the basis for application to the purpose of head disease(chronic subdural hematoma, hydrocephalus, hearing loss), urinary system disease(stone, urinary tract infection), edema, adjuvant, other hypertension and insomnia. On the other hand, considering one case that causes side effect of TINU syndrome, caution should be exercised when observing the progress of the patient taking the Oryeong-San.

Objective : This study is performed for the purpose of examining into the efficacy of the scolopendrid(Scolopendra morsitans L) which has been used among the Korean people for the H.I.V.D of lumbar spine. Methods & Results : Using the herbal acupuncture made of scolopendrid(Scolopendra morsitans L), we treated the 20 H.I.V.D patients for 1 week and operated 4 pre and post treatment test ; D.I.T.I, 6 kinds of physical test, Oswestry disability index, and self-conscious pain rate. Trough the test, we saw 43-95% of efficacy rate in each test. And all of the 7 acupuncture point in D.I.T.I, Oswestry disability index and self-conscious pain rate test showed statistically valuable change. Conclusion : We brought to the conclusion that the scolopendrid herbal acupuncture has possibility to be efficient to cure the H.I.V.D patients. So we suggest the possibility to use this new remedy for the H.I.V.D.
