  • This paper present the performance evaluation of PV systems installed at Tibet area of China in order to identity the key factors that determines system operation at a severe climate conditions and promote the cooperation of PV technology between Korea and China. The installed systems consist of 100kW on-grid connected PV systems, BOS(balance of systems), data acquisition and transmission equipments. The Korea side supplied the solar cell, BOS like as inverter, control box and monitoring system. And the Chinese side assembled solar module, constructed site and built control house. It has been shown that the average radiation per monthly from Tibet is 1.5 times larger than that from Mokpo. Also, radiation time from Tibet is 2hour higher than that from Korea.

  • Contract time determination for highway construction projects has never been easy despite considerable research efforts from academia as well as industry. High variations in crew production rates are considered one of the main barriers to accurate contract time determination. This paper presents a methodology for collecting field information on crew production rates which will help to enhance the accuracy of contract time determination for highway bridge construction. Based on a standard data collection tool developed, data on field crew production rates was collected from 14 on going projects in Texas, USA, over the past two years. The production rates based on the data collected were considered by industry practitioners to be more realistic and practical than those available to the current practices. As more data becomes available, key drivers influencing production rates could be identified and provide site personnel with a means to better plan and control production in a project specific context.

  • A numerical system to extract effective elastic properties of polycrystalline thin-films for MEMS devices is already developed. In this system, the statistical model based on lattice system is used for modeling the microstructure evolution simulation and the key kinetics parameters of given micrograph, grain distributions and deposition process can be extracted by inverse method proposed in the system. In this work, the effects of kinetics parameters on the extraction of effective elastic properties of polycrystalline thin-films are studied by using statistical method. The effects of the fraction of the potential site( $f_{P}$ ) and the nucleation probability( $P_{N}$ ) among the parameters for deposition process of microstructure on the extraction of effective elastic properties of polycrystalline thin-films are studied.d.d.

  • The photovoltaic industry is growing at a tremendous speed. And it can be one of the key factors for success in the photovoltaic business to choose a suitable system, and setting it up right so as to get a maximum efficiency of the site. Therefore, it is regarded to be necessary to research the efficiency of systems to catch maximum photovoltaic energy. In this research, the expected power generation efficiencies are analysed, and compared with each other. This research considered the direct sunlight only, and the angle between the direction of solar panel and sunlight as factors to affect the power generation. Therefore, only rough analyses and estimations are found on 3 systems of fixed system, double-axes tracking system, and horizontal tracking system.

  • The objective of this study is to suggest planning directions for rural landscape management and conservation. With wide literature review, the Rural Traditional Theme Village were selected as case study areas to search for the main elements according to various spatial types. The pictures taken from the site investigation were used for a questionnaire survey to understand and to find the value of rural landscape. Finally, we found out 25 items from 3 spatial type (rural life area, agriculture production area and natural environment area), and Analyzed the Preference of rural landscape elements.

  • The glycome consists of all glycans (or carbohydrates) within a biological system, and modulates a wide range of important biological activities, from protein folding to cellular communications. The mining of the glycome for disease markers represents a new paradigm for biomarker discovery; however, this effort is severely complicated by the vast complexity and structural diversity of glycans. This review summarizes recent developments in analytical technology and methodology as applied to the fields of glycomics and glycoproteomics. Mass spectrometric strategies for glycan compositional profiling are described, as are potential refinements which allow structure-specific profiling. Analytical methods that can discern protein glycosylation at a specific site of modification are also discussed in detail. Biomarker discovery applications are shown at each level of analysis, highlighting the key role that glycoscience can play in helping scientists understand disease biology.

  • This study investigates the impact of website contents on Internet auction success. Based on the marketing concepts of stimuli, consumer behavior, and product involvement, the research model presents the theoretical relationships between the key factors of website contents and Internet auction performance. This study examines particularly four dimensions of website contents including transaction features, auction-specific features, seller's reputation, and information quality, which are deemed to have significant impact on the Internet auction performance, Each dimension of website contents is hypothesized to have a unique impact on a bidder's decision-making, which may vary depending on the bidder's level of involvement in the product. While transaction and auction-specific features serve as necessary components for successful auctions, a seller's reputation and information quality, as parts of satisfactory requirements, acutely affect bidders' decisions, especially those with high involvement to buy the product through a particular auction site. The outcomes of the analysis, in general, support the proposed model. The study results also provide meaningful Implications on ways in which auction websites can be improved for both sellers and auction service providers.

  • Forage sorghum (Sorghum bicolor x S. bicolor) was cultivated for knowing the effect of alum sludge application on its root growth in a mountainous site, Kumsan. And the results obtained are as follows: The available P205 content in the soil seemed to decrease with the advance of level of alum sludge application. And plant P content decreased with the advance of sludge application without phosphate fertilizer. With phosphate fertilizer, root number of the forage was greater than that without the fertilizer. The root growth of forage sorghum was the highest with NPK and the least in control and alum application, and it is not recommended to apply NPK and alum together for the growth of the forage root. • Asthma is recognized as a complex disease resulting from interactions between multiple genetic and environmental factors. Accumulating evidence suggests that respiratory viral infections in early life constitute a major environmental risk factor for the development of childhood asthma. Respiratory viral infections have also been recognized as the most common cause of asthma exacerbation. The advent of molecular diagnostics to detect respiratory viruses has provided new insights into the role of human rhinovirus (HRV) infections in the pathogenesis of asthma. However, it is still unclear whether HRV infections cause asthma or if wheezing with HRV infection is simply a predictor of childhood asthma. Recent clinical and experimental studies have identified plausible pathways by which HRV infection could cause asthma, particularly in a susceptible host, and exacerbate disease. Airway epithelial cells, the primary site of infection and replication of HRV, play a key role in these processes. Details regarding the role of genetic factors, including ORMDL3, are beginning to emerge. This review discusses recent clinical and experimental evidence for the role of HRV infection in the development and exacerbation of childhood asthma and the potential underlying mechanisms that have been proposed.
