As there are diverse delivery media and forms of information resources, their management schemes are diverse as well. In library community, cataloguing. rules for describing information resources such as AACR and KCR have been developed. The efforts to automate management of information resources based on these rules resulted in the development of MARC. However, MARC records are restricted in describing the information resources and MARC has various and distinct characteristics of the structural rigidity, which does not support the representation of extended semantic structures that exist among bibliographic entities. Therefore, since the data model for MARC is single-layer data model, it is not appropriate for describing information resources represented by multi-layer data model which can be used to set up the relationships among various objects in digital libraries. In this paper, we propose an a metadata model for digital libraries based on the IFLA FRBR basic model which supports multi-layer data model and a representation scheme based on XML Schema to manage the metadata about old books, old documents, resource related to music, conferences and seminars.

Recently, many technologies of the P.L.C (Power Line Carrier) are introduced for an efficient communication. P.L.C communication sends information in the carrier signals by conduction over the power wire. An arc detector is proposed in this paper for the effective transmission. The Power Line Carrier has an advantage in low cost because it uses existent power line. It can be easily applied anywhere that a power line socket is available. But the P.L.C. is very noisy, because many electronic devices in generate electronic noise in modulated signals. This problem should be considered carefully in the design of the arc detector system using P.L.C in railway. The proposed system can be applied for monitoring the arc detector system and the arc locator system in railway. Hence the system will be able to exchange the arc information to be T.C.M.S. (Train Control Management System), bogies and even between a station and trains in railway and use to suspicion fire in train.

Due to rapid internet supply and the increase of electronic resources including network resources, there has been a sudden change in cataloguing fields. To deal with rapid changes, IFLA revised cataloguing rules for electronic and continuing resources; ISBD(ER) and ISBD(CR). This study is to analyze activities of IFLA and ISBD(CR), expecially in regards with concepts of continuing resources, new categories of bibliographic materials, major or minor changes in title proper, basis of the description, material specific area, definition of a new terminologies, changes in AACR2R 2002 revision and MARC 21 coding, and issues concerned with revision of KCR 4 and KORMARC.

Some conclusions can be derived from the study: 1. Person's name should be script by the one's mother tongue because of its uniqueness. 2. Japanese person's name should be script and pronounce their mother tongue for exchange and sharing of an academic information. 3. We can anticipate that Japanese language materials will be increase in near future. 4. The National Central Library which publish Korean National Bibliography must have to responsibility to lead other library. 5. The script of [Korean National bibliography] must contribute to standardization and national and Universal Bibliographic Control. 6. The area of education, newspaper, publishing are scripting Japanese person's name with script conversion schemes for Koreanization, devised by Ministry of Education. 7. The script of [Korean National Bibliography]'s name index can be used as authority file at selection of heading in library cataloging. 8. Most of libraries script Japanese person's name with Chinese character in Korean language pronunciation. 9. Korean Cataloging Rules (KCR) and Korean Machine Readable Cataloguing (KORMARC) description rules should be defined about the mother tongue script of Japanese person's name. 10. It is desirable to increase of credit of Readings in Japanese material course in college curriculum. 11. Because Japanese person's name is complex and variable that it is desirable to add Chinese character with mother tongue script.

FRBR, as is new conceptual model of bibliography based on entity-relation model, direct to revision of AACR 3.JSC has progressed work to adopt FRBR conceptual model into cataloging rule, especially for solving the problem of expression level, propose to overall change of uniform title & GMD. This study considers the matters about expression level of FRBR model. And examine possibility of adoption FRBR model to domestic cataloging rule and making out practice.

This paper studied the process of changes of the heading which is access point of the catalog in the cataloging Rules. The first described change of the concept of heading, and described change of headings in the Korean Cataloging Rules and Anglo-American Cataloging Rules And then described heading; in the online environment and future of cataloging rules. The concept of the main entry has lost any meaningful purpose in today's online catalog environment despite a multiplicity of definition. To bring cataloging rules up-to-date, Headings of KCR, AhCR2 Chapter 21, the MARC format and KORMARC format need to be revised The revision of this cataloging rules should be based on Hypertext and Hypermedia. A Continued empirical research would be most welcome, and should be incorporated into future cataloging rules.

This study aims to clearly understand 'Functional Requisite of Authority Data(FRAD)' being studied by IFLA focused on aspect of change from FRAR. In addition, it has established relationship between FRAD and concerned rules by analyzing effect of FRAD on RDA and MARC21 and reviewed cataloguing rules, format and situations of major authority DB implementations concerned about domestic authority controls in reflection of IFLA's activities for authority control. Based on the analysis, it has looked into considerations for domestic authority controls standards such as access control methods, expansion of application scope, introduction of new approaches such as entity-relationship model, reinforcement of roles for national bibliographic agency. These study results would be utilized as basic data for authority control.

Antimicrobial activity to the extracts of Perilla frutescens Briton var. acuta Kudo was investigated against various foodborne pathogenes or food poisioning microorganisms(Aspergillus flavus KCTC 6143 and KCTC 6961, Aspergillus niger ATCC 4695, Listeria monocytogenes ATCC 15313, Staphylococcus aureus 196E ATCC 13565, Escherichia coli O157:H7 ATCC 43895, Salmonella typhimurium ATCC 13311 and Yersinia enterocolitica). The ethanol extract of Perilla frutescens Briton var. acuta Kudo was very stable over heat at $121^{\circ}C$ for 15 min. In concentration of $1000\mu\textrm{g}$/mL into culture broth(TSB), the ethanol extract of Perilla frutescens Briton var. acuta Kudo showed the strongest antimicrobial activities against Listeria monocytogenes, followed by Staphylococcus aureus 196E, Salmonella typhimurium. Gram negative bacteria(Escherichia coli O157:H7, Salmonella 쇼phimurium, Yersinia enterocolitica) were less sensitive than Cram positive bacteria but the growth of Escherichia coli O157:H7 and Yersinia exterocolitica were inhibited with increasing concentrations of the extract in culture broth.

This study was to suggest the construction of work and expression authority records for FRBRization. ICP, FRBR/FRAD and RDA as the content rules were referred as the framework for the construction of work and expression authority records. LC RDA authority records examples, JSC of RDA authority examples, and VIAF work and expression authority records were analyzed as case studies. 5 findings were suggested. First, authority records consist of name, work, and expression authority records which are inter-related. Second, the construction of authorized access points was suggested according to 5 work types. Third, the consideration in describing work attributes as separate element and as part of an authorized access point, and other distinguishing characteristic of the work were suggested. Fourth, the consideration in describing expression attributes as separate element and as part of an authorized access point, and other distinguishing characteristic of the expression were suggested. Fifth, 5XX was suggested for linking between work and expression. This study would contribute to revise KCR4.
