철도통합무선망(LTE-R)의 무선통신특성 분석 (Analysis on Radio Communication Characteristics of LTE Railway Network)

  • 국토교통부는 2012년부터 주요 철도 정책으로 철도전용의 통합무선망 기술 확산에 노력했다. 그 결과, 2017년 세계 최초로 LTE 기반 철도통합무선망(LTE-R)을 강릉선 KTX 노선에 (만종역-강릉역) 구축 완료하였으며, 현재 해당 구간에서 LTE-R 통신 시스템을 상용 운영 중이다. 안전하고 효율적인 열차 운행을 위하여 철도통합무선망은 그룹통화, 긴급통화, 철도전용 호처리, 무선통신 기반 열차제어를 수행함에 따라 통상적인 무선통신과 차별화된 철도전용의 통신 기능과 성능요구사항이 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 철도통합무선망이 갖춰야 하는 기능 및 성능 요구사항을 유럽 철도통합 무선망의 분석을 통하여 제시하고, 아울러 강릉선 KTX에서 실제 측정한 LTE-R 무선통신의 특성과 성능을 기반으로 현재 구축된 통신망의 적정성과 안정성에 대한 분석을 수행하였다. 해당 노선의 평균적 전파품질이 열차제어를 위한 통신 요구사항을 만족하더라도 일부 구간에서 RLF(Radio Link Failure)와 같은 급격한 통신 성능저하를 확인하였다. 본 논문에서는 필드 테스트를 기반으로 하는 LTE-R 무선통신 분석을 바탕으로 향후 열차제어를 위한 네트워크 구축과 성능개선 방향을 제시한다.

한국과 일본 고속철도역 주변 집적 공간구조에 대한 관측 연구 (A Spatial Structure of Agglomeration Pattern Near High-Speed Rail Station of Korea and Japan)

  • 고속철도(HSR)의 운영은 집적이익에 영향을 미치며, 개별 경제활동들은 경제적 이익을 극대화할 수 있는 곳으로 이전한다. 이러한 측면에서 볼 때, 고속철도역과의 인접성은 고속철도 네트워크를 통한 이익 극대화를 영위할 수 있는 핵심구역으로 간주할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 GIS를 이용한 한국과 일본의 서비스 산업 핫스팟 분석을 통해 고속철도역 주변에 대한 집적효과를 분석하고자 하였다. 한국과 일본의 집계구 데이터를 활용하여 분석을 수행하였으며, 일정 규모 이상 도심에 위치하고 있는 고속철도역이 입지하고 있는 한국 8개, 일본 큐슈신칸센 4개역을 대상으로 하였다. 분석결과 구포역과 카고시마츄오역 등 2개 역을 제외한 나머지 10개 역들 반경 1km 이내에서 서비스산업의 집적이 관측되었다. 여가, 레저, 협회 및 특정 전문 서비스산업들의 경우 고속철도승객을 통한 관광객 유입 혹은 지식교류 등의 효과를 영위함으로써 사회경제적 이익을 얻을 수 있다. 이를 고려했을 때, 역 주변에 대한 핫스팟의 도출은 역 접근성과의 관련성을 보여줄 수 있을 것이다. 분석결과를 정책적으로 보았을 때, 향후 역 주변 개발에 있어서 서비스 산업과 관련 산업들의 사회경제적 이익을 극대화할 수 있도록 지원 또한 필요할 것이다.

  • Accumulated deficits resulting from managing the Korean Railroad and debts from the construction of the KTX (Korea Train Express which is a high-speed rail system) have left the Korean Railroad faced with great troubles. Since it changed into a public corporation Korail on January 1st, 2005, the Korea Railroad has been making unceasing efforts to overcome the troubles and improve its management. However, even these efforts haven't worked in the face of the improved conditions of other transportation methods such as better networks of land roads and air ways. The Korea Railroad had its revenue from its railway transportation limited, and has tried to expand its business to non-transportational areas. In some metropolitan cities, the Korea Railroad made investments in real estate by constructing station buildings based on private money. Yet, in small and medium size cities, the Korea Railroad has little particular strategic projects for business development. Recently certain small and medium size regional cities began to plan on business developments for the ex-railway land, and some small towns have developed real estate on the ex-railway land. Nevertheless, there have been no systematic case studies to classify these real estate developments.

고속전철 급전소와의 이격거리에 따른 전력 유도 영향 분석 (Analysis on the Induction Effects by Separation Distance between the Power Feeding Station and the Telecommunication Cables)

  • 고속 전철의 전력 공급 시설인 급전소와의 이격거리에 따른 전력 유도의 영향을 분석하기 위하여 전남 장성과 임곡간 10km 구간에 대하여 1km의 단위 구간으로 분할하여 통신 케이블을 고속 전철 선로와 인접하여 병행 포설한 후 고속 전철이 통과하는 시간 동안의 유도 종전압을 측정하고 이를 분석하였다. 정확한 분석을 위하여 지형적 특성 상 1km 단위의 구간 분할이 어려운 개소에서 측정된 유도 전압에 대하여 1km 구간으로 정규화 하였으며 또한 각 개소에서의 대저저항률 및 통신선과 전차선간 이격거리를 이용하여 계산되는 상호인덕턴스 역시 임의의 기준 값으로 정규화 하여 분석을 수행하였다.

  • When trains run over a snow-covered track at high speed, the snow accereted under car bodies may drop during train running. The dropped snow lumps scatter the ballast on the track damaging the car body and the environment along the track in snowy regions. In this study, various countermeasures to prevent the ballast from scattering has been investigated and compared. Furthermore, the implementation of the ballast-flying prevention methods to passing-by station has been examined through which the KTX train passes about 300km/h speed.

기존선을 통과하는 고속차량의 적절한 주행속도에 관한 연구 (A Study on Appropriate Driving Speed for High-Speed Trains Running the Conventional Line)

  • KTX (Korea Train eXpress) is the first high-speed train operated in Korea and its highest speed reaches 300 km/h. Korean high-speed trains are mostly operated on the railroads exclusively designed for high-speed trains, but the sections of Seoul~Gwangmyeong, nearby of Daejeon station and Dongdaegu are operated on the existing tracks having the speed less than 150 km/h. With this paper, we'd like to analyze the lateral force that occurs between the wheels and the rail when high-speed trains were operated on the existing track section to suggest an appropriate driving speed for high-speed trains. As the rigid wheel base of the high-speed train is 3m which is about 50% longer than normal vehicles, it works as an advantage for high-speed driving. However, as the lateral force becomes higher than normal vehicles when driving on curves, plans to reduce wear-outs on the wheels are required.

  • The measurement of contact wire uplift in electric railway is one of the most test method to accept the maximum permitted speed of new vehicles or pantographs. The contact wire uplift can be measured for shot periods when pantograph is running in monitoring station. This paper describes the development of two different methods for contact uplift measurement using vision-based system and wireless online monitoring system. Our vision-based system employs a high-speed CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) camera with gigabit ethernet LAN. The development of a real-time remote monitoring system that acquires data from any kind of sensor to be transmitted by wireless communication from overhead line and structure at 25 kV to a computer in catenary system. The proposed two kind of different measurement systems to evaluation for dynamic uplift of overhead contact wire shows promising on-field applications for high speed train such as Korea Tilting Train (TTX) and Korea Train eXpress (KTX).

교통시스템 정보화와 철도중심의 연계교통정보시스템 (Intelligent Transportation Systems and Intermodal Transportation Information System for Railroad)

For railroad-based integrated transfer system, it is essential to develop the intermodal information system for easy transfer to other travel modes. The understanding of mode choices by KTX passengers is crucial for the intermodal transportation planning. Recent development of Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS) made it possible for railroad users to access the transportation information in a cabin or waiting areas at the station. Development of intermodal transportation information system will influence the relative demand for traveling by train from competing other transportation modes. The research is focused on a general overview of the ITS with an emphasis on intermodal transportation information system.

인간공학실험용 항공기 모의비행훈련장비 개발 (Aircraft flight simulator development for ergonomics test)

  • An aircraft simulator for ergonomics testing and pilot training was developed from the joint work Agency for Defense Development(ADD) and Daewoo Heavy Industry, LTD, in Korea at first time. It is basically to satisfy the requirements established by FAA-AC-120-40C ( 1995-JAN-26). The aircraft simulator will be used mainly for ergonomics testing and pilot training for basic trainer on ADD and Korea Air Force in near futrue. This simulator reproduces faithfully the cockpit and flight characteristics of the KTX-1 aircraft. It is one of the latest full flight simulators that have the CGI(computer graphic image) visual system and six degree of freedom motions system. Development efforts focused on user-oriented design approach for ergonomics testing and flight training of pilots. Main characteristics of each subsystem are described such as cockpit, instruments, control loading system, motion system, visual system, aural system, instructor operation station and aircraft simulation softwear.
