The growing importance of product quality is becoming more and more daily apparent as we enter the age of globalization around the world. And the product safety is getting more focus as well as product quality. As a result, many domestic companies are putting a lot of emphasis on safety measures and management activities and these companies' products are mainly superior to other companies' product. When we separate the product quality procedure into 3 steps, i.e. quality secure-quality confirm-quality guarantee, of course the 1st step is the most important, but also End step of product quality confirm process is important. And in mass production environment, sampling inspection is more desirable than the 100 % inspection procedure. As a part of globalization trend, KS system is also being revised and reestablished based on ISO, IEC, etc. which are based on international standard. Conventional KS sampling inspection standards were in many areas quite different from ISO sampling standards, only KS A 3102, 3104, 3151 are left and the rest become obsolete, and even the ones that are still around are planned to the gone step by step. It has been already 3 years since the new KS A ISO 2859-0-3 sampling inspection process has been established which the abolition of the popular KS A 3101, KS A 3105, KS A 3109, yet the implementation rate is very slow. This study will attempt to analyze the new KS A ISO 2859-2 and KS A ISO 2859-3, and try to understand the difference as that the new standard can be easily understood and used widely among companies, by using examples. Our attempt is to help implement with the companies with active safety involvement but the final result can be spread among other companies as well in the near future.

New and Renewable Energy Equipment Certification program has been integrated into the KS(Korean Industrial Standards) certification system as of July 29, 2015. This study is to determine whether the KS certification requirement has had a positive effect on corporate performance (e.g. quality improvement, financial result, customer satisfaction) within those that had already acquired the New and Renewable Energy Equipment KS certification. As a result, among the requirements for the KS certification, quality management, product management, and product testing have a positive impact on product quality improvement, and product testing has shown a positive influence on customer satisfaction. Although requisite for the KS certification did not have a significant effect on financial outcome such as increase in revenue, it has shown to have positive consequence to some extent on those firms that newly obtained the certification.

Purpose: The objective of this study is to provide a methodology that can facilitate efficient development of a product portfolio by utilizing Korean Standards(KS) networks. Methods: A case study on a steel manufacturing company is provided. Social network analysis h as been conducted on KS network and KS certification information of the company. Core test standards of a company have been identified. The core standards, then, used to construct a product-standard network of a corresponding industry. Results: As a result of analyzing product-standard networks, a product portfolio of a company has been developed. It has been shown that the candidate product portfolio is a cost-effective alternative in terms of standard maintenance cost. Conclusion: By using social network analysis, standards information can be used to support new product development process.

Purpose: This study examined the importance and satisfaction of consumer's perception of the information delivery format of products and services required and recommended by KS A ISO / IEC Guide 13: 2003 and KS A ISO / IEC Guide 37: 2003. Methods: In this study, the importance and satisfaction of clarity, principles of information transfer, how to use expressions and technical terms, and technical terms, warning signs, and durability were investigated. Results: The t-test analysis of the importance and satisfaction of the Writing Rules of the product user guide showed that all items had statistically significant differences. The importance of the writing rules of the product user guide for the use of the product was in the order of warning signs (4.423), how to use expressions and technical terms (4.215), principles of information transfer (4.163), clarity (3.914), and finally durability (3.851). Conclusion: Among the 'explanation,' 'instruction' and 'warning' functions of the Product User Guide, the consumer uses the manual to identify the inherent dangers and misuse of the product. Besides, since the life of the product is prolonged, the Product User Guide also needs to improve the quality of the cover or paper so that it can use for a long time.

The 'KS-QEI' is the quality evaluation model developed both by Korean Standard Association(KSA) and this research team, reflecting the characteristic of KS products' quality and the customers' demand factors. KS-QEI is a general index measuring and announcing KS products' quality excellency through the evaluation of its real user including customers and specialists. This index aimed to evaluate and announce the quality level of KS product annually which was the motivation of products' quality improvement to enterprises and guaranteed the products' reliability to customers. Ultimately, by competing in good faith among domestic enterprises and preparing foundation of continuous research and investment inducement, it was expected to improve the Korean industry's competitive power. This study was intended to develop improved KS-QEI by analysing 2006 research result, to which it had applied ameliorated and enlarged index in 2005. Especially, it established the weight by Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP), which led to estimate weight mathematically by comparing and evaluating the importance and difficulty by its index. And this paper analyzed the research result by using multi-variate statistical methods.

As a result of globalization process and TBT agreement, KS is also being revised, reestablished and some are abolished according to international standards such as ISO, IEC, etc. Conventional KS sampling inspection standards contained many different procedures from ISO, but recently, to match with international standards, all the rest of the standards except KS A 3102, 3104, 3151 were abolished, and the even the ones being in use still are also scheduled and be revised. Especially, KS A 3101, KS A 3105, KS A 3109, which were used most frequently in Korea were abolished, and the KS A ISO $2859-0\~3$ which coincide with ISO standards were established 3 years ago, but the implementation rate is very slow. Starting next year the national examination for qualification process for the product quality related item will the started and the preparation is underway. This study will investigate the recent sampling inspection process of KS as well as SPC related KS overhaul problem and present the data to help workers in SPC related field. One of the main example will be on KS A ISO 2859-3 and will attempt to help those medium and small sized companies with examples.
