지식경영 기업의 지식전환을 위한 정보기술 활용 (IT Usage for Knowledge Conversion in KM Companies)

  • The purpose of this research is to review how Korean KM companies are applying information technology to their operations from the four perspectives of knowledge conversion (KC) and to suggest ideas for introducing appropriate knowledge management implementation methodology through the case studies of Korean KM companies that have adopted knowledge management strategy using information technology. This research was conducted focusing on the cases of companies that are carrying out knowledge management by applying information technology and the result shows that Korean KM companies place high value on the application of information technology in introducing knowledge management. However, the use of information technology is not common to all kind of companies in four kinds of knowledge conversion.

  • While knowledge management (KM) needs to be introduced in order to enhance the competitiveness of Korean firms, most of the current literature focuses on defining the concept of KM and developing its framework. This research attempts to develop an introduction methodology of KM, based on four dimensions such as organization, information technology, process, and culture. The methodology was applied to firm L, which recently adopted KM. A result from the analysis of this case study shows that firm L performed well in the dimensions of organization, information technology, and culture.

차량 운행에 따른 엔진오일 물성변화 연구 (A Study on the Change of Physical Properties of Engine Oil after Vehicle Driving)

  • The engine oil is an oil used for lubrication of various internal combustion engines. Recently, the vehicle and engine oil manufacture usually guarantee for oil change over 15000~20000 km mileage, but the most of driver usually change engine oil every 5000 km driving in Korea. In this case, it is possible to cause environmental contamination by used engine oil and increase the cost of driving by frequently oil change. In this study, we investigate the various physical properties such as flash point, pour point, kinematic viscosity, cold cranking simulator, total acid number, and four-ball test for fresh engine oil and used engine oil after vehicle driving (5000 km, 10000 km). The test result showed that the total acid number and wear scar by four-ball test of used engine oil had increased than fresh engine oil, but 2 kind of used oil (5000 km and 10000 km) had similar physical properties.

조직 문화적 특성의 정보기술 하부구조와 지식경영 활동들에 대한 영향 (The Effects of Cultural Characteristics on IT Infrastructure and Knowledge Management Activities)

  • This study empirically investigated the effects of both organizational culture(i.e., innovative, supportive and bureaucratic) and information technology(IT) infrastructure(i.e., knowledge storage, transfer and search IT) on the knowledge management(KM) activities(i.e., knowledge creation, sharing and application) in Korean manufacturing firms. We also partially demonstrated the impact of KM activities on the KM performance(i.e., KM satisfaction) of a firm. Through multiple regression analyses, it was found that innovative and supportive culture, and IT infrastructure have a positive impact on the activation of KM activities. The results of this study also showed that the innovative and supportive culture positively influence the adoption of IT infrastructure, and through the construction of IT, they have an indirect effect on KM activities. With a structural equation modeling technique, the causal relationships among organizational culture, IT infrastructure, knowledge management activities, and KM performance were confirmed. Hence, it is concluded that culture and IT infrastructure have direct effects on KM activities, and culture also indirectly influences KM activities through the adoption of IT infrastructure.

대형 상용 엔진에서 SCR의 클리닝 주기 선정 및 저감효율에 따른 내구신뢰성 특성 연구 (Cleaning Interval Selection for SCR Considering Endurance Reliability and Emissions Reduction Efficiency in Heavy Duty Commercial Engine)

  • Purpose: Performance recovered from SCR through cleaning was studied, measuring differential pressure, NOx reduction efficiency, fuel consumption and engine power before and after cleaning. Ideal cleaning intervals are proposed based on SCR mileage and differential pressure. SCR endurance and reliability improvements through cleaning were studied through physicochemical testing of SCR durability at 43,000km 50,000km, and 110,000km respectively. Methods: Engine power, fuel consumption and exhaust gas were measured using engine full load tests and ND-13 MODE by installing the SCR before cleaned at total engine mileages of 400,000 km, 300,000km and 200,000km. The same tests were performed after cleaning the SCR catalytic converter. Endurance and reliability of the SCR cleaning was studied through the same test by SCR catalyst after each 43,000km 50,000km, 110,000km, durability test on SCR cleaning. Conclusion: We confirmed the low-performance of the SCR due to clogging is restored by SCR cleaning technology. The NOx reduction efficiency was restored to 82%, 86% and 88% from 69%, 72% and 79%. As well as the NOx reduction efficiency, it was confirmed that the engine power, fuel consumption and back pressure was restored to fresh SCR levels. As a result of the durability and reliability achieved through SCR cleaning, we confined the appearance and reduction efficiency through visual inspection and ND-13 MODE are similar to new SCR catalysts. Finally, it was judged that there was no change in performance even when driving the SCR without cleaning throughout the 100,000 km mileage warranty.

Molecular Cloning and Characterization of an NADPH Quinone Oxidoreductase from Kluyveromyces marxianus

  • NAD(P)H quinone oxidoreductase is a ubiquitous enzyme that is known to directly reduce quinone substrates to hydroquinones by a two-electron reaction. We report the identification of NADPH quinone oxidoreductase from Kluyveromyces marxianus (KmQOR), which reduces quinone substrates directly to hydroquinones. The KmQOR gene was sequenced, expressed in Escherichia coli, purified, and characterized. The open-reading frame of the KmQOR gene consists of 1143 nucleotides, encoding a 380 amino acid polypeptide. The nucleotide sequence of the KmQOR gene was assigned to EMBL under accession number AY040868. The $M_r$ that was determined by SDS-PAGE for the protein subunit was about 42 kDa, and the molecular mass of the native KmQOR was 84 kDa, as determined by column calibration, indicating that the native protein is a homodimer. The KmQOR protein efficiently reduced 1,4-benzoquinone, whereas no activities were found for menadiones and methoxyquinones. These observations, and the result of an extended sequence analysis of known NADPH quinone oxidoreductase, suggest that KmQOR possesses a different action mechanism.

400 km/h 고속철도 환경소음저감을 위한 선로 변 벽체 상단장치개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Device Installed on the Barrier for The Environmental Noise Reduction in 400 km/h High Speed Railway)

  • 고속열차의 설계 및 운행기술이 발전하면서 고속철도의 운행속도가 빠르게 증속되고 있다. 반면 증속 시 발생하는 소음으로 인해 고속철도 연변의 주거지역 등에서는 많은 소음문제가 발생하고 있으며, 고속철도 소음에 대한 민원도 지속적인 증가추세에 있다. 향후 고속철도가 원활히 설계속도대로 운행되기 위해서는 고속철도의 방사소음특성에 적합한 소음예측기술 및 저감기술이 개발되어야 한다. 이와 같은 요구에 부합하기 위해, 400 km/h 고속철도 인프라 연구가 수년에 걸쳐 진행되었다. 이 연구를 통해 신뢰성을 갖는 고속철도 소음예측평가 기술이 개발되었고, 현재 소음저감기술의 단점을 극복하기 위한 핵심방음장치가 개발되었다. 본 연구의 궁극적인 목적은 고속철도 환경소음을 줄이기 위해 개발된 선로 변 벽체 상단에 설치되는 상단장치의 소음성능평가 및 풍압안전성 검증에 관한 것이다.

  • 본 논문은 많은 기업들이 지식 공유를 위하여 성공적인 지식경영 시스템 도입을 추진하는 과정에서 조직문화 요소와 관계에 대한 연구를 목적으로 한다. 최근논문에서 언급된바와 같이 기업이 지식경영 시스템을 도입하는데 많은 문제점이 발견되고 있다는 것을 알 수 있다. 발견된 문제점 중 조직문화 요소에 대한 연구가 미흡하여 성공적인 지식경영 시스템 구현을 위한 장애가 되고 있다. 본 연구는 특정한 조직문화 요소가 지식경영 시스템 구현에 미치는 관계를 살펴보기 위해 OCP와 KMTP tool을 사용하여 26개의 미국 기업을 대상으로 설문조사를 한 결과를 기반으로 성공적인 지식경영 시스템 구현에 관계가 있는 기업 조직문화 요소를 연구 조사하였다.

소백산국립공원내 서식하는 중형포유류 3종의 행동권 분석 (Home Range Analysis of Three Midium-Sized Mammals in Sobaeksan National Park)

  • This study was carried out to analyze the home ranges of three medium-sized mammals(Nyctereutes procyonoides, Prionailurus bengalensis, and Meles leucurus) inhabiting the Sobaeksan National Park, Korea. Three individuals of each species were captured using live traps(Tomahawk live trap 210A) and radio tracking was conducted from June 2012 to May 2014 using VHF and CDMA methods. We determined that the home range of N. procyonoides was $6.53{\pm}6.66km^2$(MCP 100), $3.39{\pm}4.73km^2$(FK 95), and $0.48{\pm}0.62km^2$(FK 50), that of P. bengalensis was $7.13{\pm}5.61km^2$(MCP 100), $7.77{\pm}3.91km^2$(FK 95), and $1.88{\pm}0.96km^2$(FK 50), and that of M. leucurus was $1.77{\pm}1.82km^2$(MCP 100), $3.17{\pm}4.52km^2$(FK 95), and $0.63{\pm}0.87km^2$(FK 50). The home ranges of both N. procyonoides and P. bengalensis were greater than that of M. leucurus, and moreover, both were larger than $6km^2$(P. bengalensis>N. procyonoides). The results also showed that for each species, 1.2~4.4% of the home range overlapped with that of the other two species and that this overlap occurred in the vicinity of a water system.

Initiating Knowledge Management in Colleges and Universities: A template

  • Knowledge Management (KM) is a collaborative and integrated approach adopted at various levels to ensure that an organization's knowledge assets are best utilized to increase organizational performance. While KM has been adopted in a large number of sectors and organizations, colleges and universities, and the higher education sector in general, is yet to take full advantage of the possibilities offered by KM. Also, while past research has sought to highlight the importance of implementing KM in higher education, there is a lack of a single, clear template for KM implementation that universities leaders and administrators can adopt. The contribution of the paper is a practical, actionable, step-by-step plan, as well as a diagrammatic, theoretical framework for initiating KM successfully in colleges and universities.
