The purpose of this study is to derive the factors for purchasing a meal kit in their 20s and 30s and analyze the purchasing behavior from which factors they want to buy a meal kit in each lifestyle type. The first methodology of this study is inducing 7 factors derived from previous research on purchasing a meal kit. The second is the in-depth interview on 3 male and 3 female participants with clear purchasing criteria. As a result of the study, meal kit buyers in their 20s-30s evaluated the importance of purchasing factors in the order of quality, convenience, and taste on average in the survey. In in-depth interviews, more than half answered that they could be satisfied with the experience of using the meal kit at least freshness met. In conclusion, MZ generation meal kit consumers have a high rate of pursuing rational consumption. This study is valuable in understanding the priorities of the MZ generation's meal kit purchasing attributes and examining lifestyle type's purchasing behaviors.
A 1.5-year-old neutered male domestic short hair cat was presented with multiple nodular mass, and suspected mast cell tumor on the surface of the right ear, accompanied by submandibular lymph node involvement. Histopathological Examinations and KIT (CD117) immunohistochemical staining was performed after the surgical resection of the entire right ear pinna. This patient was diagnosed with an anaplastic mast cell tumor with a diffuse positive cytoplasmic expression of KIT. Imatinib mesylate was prescribed after surgical resection; the patient presented without recurrence or metastasis for 2 years. Mild leukopenia was observed as the only side effect of imatinib mesylate during medication.

Recently, the patent rights for 3D printing technology have expired, while 3D printers with RP (Rapid Prototyping or Additive Manufacturing) and 3D printing technologies are receiving attention. In particular, the development of 3D printers is rapid in Korea, thanks to the increasing sales and popularity of FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling or Fused Filament Fabrication) 3D printers. However, the quality and productivity of the FDM 3D Printer are not good, so customers prefer the DLP (Digital Light Processing) method to avoid these shortcomings. The DLP method has high quality and productivity. However, because of the stereolithography equipment, it has few studies compared to optimal values for elements then FDM 3D printing study. In this study, to find the optimal conditions for 3D printing with the DLP method, the aim is to obtain the optimal values (strength, final time, quality) by changing the light exposure time, layer thickness, and z-axis speed.
As the demand for large flexible displays such as tablet computers continues to rise, there is an increasing need for cost-efficient colorless and optically transparent polyimide film that can meet the desired performance, particularly optical transmittance. In this study, we investigated a detailed procedure for achieving optimal optical transmittance using two different combinations of monomers: 6FDA+BAPB and 6FDA+BPA+TFDB. We employed a design of experiment method to systematically synthesize polymers, allowing for the optimization of optical transmittance. In addition, we were able to achieve uniform thickness in the films by using a doctor blade. By comparing the price and optical transmittance of four different monomer combinations, we obtained fundamental data on the production of polyimide films that can be customized to meet the specific price and performance requirements of manufacturers. This approach enables users to select the most suitable polyimide film based on their desired price and performance parameters while achieving optimal optical transmittance.
Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common syndrome resulting in kidney damage and malfunction within a few days or even a few hours. The diagnosis of AKI depends on routine biochemical tests, including serum creatinine, aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransaminase (ALT), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), and electrolytes. Plasma neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) is a biomarker that shows correlation with the severity of acute infections and kidney injuries. The predictive value in other conventional assays for kidney functions has been reported to cause distraction for AKI syndrome. The aim of this study is to verify the predictive value of plasma NGAL in patients with established AKI. The NGAL kit for checkup demonstrates sensitivity of ${\geq}300$ (92.2%), ${\geq}200$ (95.6%), ${\geq}100$ (99.6%), specificity of ${\geq}300$ (95.1%), ${\geq}200$ (97.3%), ${\geq}100$ (99.4%), positive predictability of ${\geq}300$ (93.3%), ${\geq}200$ (93.4%), ${\geq}100$ (99.2%), and negative predictability of ${\geq}300$ (96.7%), ${\geq}200$ (97.7%), ${\geq}100$ (98.1%), respectively. The plasma NGAL compared with the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) has been shown to be an early predictive biomarker of AKI. The NGAL kit, recently developed for point-of-care of plasma specimens, is thought to be a useful and reliable biomarker for the early diagnosis of decreased kidney functions.
Purpose Testosterone is a steroid hormone synthesized by the Leydig cells of the testes in men, and by the adrenal cortex and ovaries in women. Testosterone production is regulated by luteinzing hormone secreted by the anterior pituitary gland. In this experiment, the effectiveness of testosterone radioimmunoassay (RIA) kits produced by three companies was evaluated and compared in case the production of testosterone kits was stopped or supply problems occurred. Materials and Methods In October 2021, samples were collected from the patients (n=49) who requested the testosterone RIA test. The experiment was conducted by dividing the patient's sample into low concentration (1.0 ng/mL or less), medium concentration (2.0-4.0 ng/mL) and high concentration (6.0 ng/mL or more). The Testosterone RIA test compared and evaluated the validity of Company A kits used in this hospital and those of Company B and C used in other hospitals. The precision, sensitivity, recovery, linearity and correlation were evaluated for each kit. The testosterone RIA test was carried out in accordance with the insert kit manual for each manufacturer. Results As a result of measuring the precision of the intra assay, the Coefficient of Variation (CV) value of the company A kit was high at 11.4% only in the low concentration sample, and in the case of the company B and C kits, the CV value was less than 10% at low, medium, and high concentrations. In the inter-assay precision measurement, the CV value was less than 15% in both A and C kits, but in the case of the B kit, the CV value exceeded 15% at low and medium concentrations. Sensitivity was 0.13 ng/mL for company A, 0.01 ng/mL for company B, and 0.01 ng/mL for company C, and the linearity of all three kits showed excellent linearity. In the case of recovery rate, all of the A, B, and C company kits showed results that were out of 90-110%. In the case of correlation test, when compared with the company A kit currently use in here, the correlation coefficient (R2) value for the company B kit was 0.9508, and for the company C kit was 0.9352 Conclusion As a result, there was a slight difference in precision at the low concentration sample. The correlation test showed an excellent correlation coefficient. However, it was difficult to secure samples of various concentrations because there were not many tests of testosterone requested at this hospital. So, additional experiments should be carried out by acquiring samples of various concentrations on each laboratory later.

The microstructural features and texture development by both hot rolling and hot forging in ${\gamma}-TiAl$ alloy were investigated. In addition, additional heat treatment after hot forging was conducted to recognize change of the microstructure and texture evolution. The obtained microstructural features through dynamic recrystallization after hot deformed ${\gamma}-TiAl$ were quite different because two kinds of formation process were occurred depending on deformation condition. However, analyzed texture tends to be random orientation due to intermediate annealing up to ${\alpha}+{\beta}$ region during the hot deformation process. After additional heat treatment, microstructure transformed into fully lamellar microstructure and randomly oriented texture was also observed due to the same reason as before. Tensile test at room temperature demonstrated that anisotropy of mechanical properties were not appeared and transgranular fracture was occurred between interface of ${\alpha}_2/{\gamma}$. As a result, it could be suggested that microstructural features influenced much more than texture development on mechanical properties at room temperature.
The indoor environment is an important source of exposure to various aeroallergens and pathogenic microorganism. It has been shown that exposure to aeroallergens enhances the risk of indoor inhabitants developing asthma. Since the skin prick test, a typical clinical method for identification of subjects positive to allergens, can rarely cause fatal or non-fatal reactions in susceptible persons, an in vitro assay such as ELISA using serum has been considered for testing positivity against various allergens. We evaluated the validity of a serum ELISA kit for screening positive subjects to major aeroallergens including Dermatophagoides farinae, Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus, cockroach, Alternaria, Cladosporium, Aspergillus, Penicillium, dog hair, cat fur, mugwort, and ragweed. The ELISA results were compared with the skin prick test results, and sensitivity, specificity, and overall accuracy were calculated to each allergen. Higher sensitivities were obtained from D. farinae, (77.8%) and D. pteronyssinus (69.2%), but sensitivities to Aspergillus, Penicillium, dog hair, cat fur, and ragweed were very low down to 0%. Specificity ranged from 88.7% (cat fur) to 100% (mugwort and ragweed). Overall the accuracy of the serum ELISA kit was relatively high, in that the lowest was 85.1% for cat fur and the highest was 98.6% for Alternaria, Cladosporium, and ragweed. Considering specificity and overall accuracy for the serum ELISA kit, it may be considered reliable. However, when the kit is used for screening purpose, positivity to aeroallergens should be carefully determined since sensitivity for the kit is low.
In this paper, we developed an efficient virtual experiment kit with creative and interactive multimedia contents, which can be used to enhance the quality of education in the area of digital logic circuits. Since our virtual experiment kit is implemented to describe the on-campus laboratory, the learners can obtain similar experimental data through it. Also, our web-based virtual experiment kit is designed to enhance the efficiency of both the learners and the educators. The learners will be able to achieve high learning standard and the educators save time and labor. The virtual experiment is performed according to the following procedure: (1) Circuit Composition on the Bread Board (2) Applying Input Voltage (3) Output Measurements (4) Checkout of Experiment Results. Furthermore, the circuit composition on the bread board and its corresponding online schematic diagram are displayed together on the virtual experiment kit for the learner's convenience. Finally, we have obtained several affirmative effects such as reducing the total experimental hours and the damage rate for experimental equipments and increasing learning efficiencies as well as faculty productivity.
Microscopy is considered as the gold standard for malaria diagnosis although its wide application is limited by the requirement of highly experienced microscopists. PCR and serological tests provide efficient diagnostic performance and have been applied for malaria diagnosis and research. The aim of this study was to investigate the diagnostic performance of nested PCR and a recently developed an ELISA-based new rapid diagnosis test (RDT), NovaLisa test kit, for diagnosis of malaria infection, using microscopic method as the gold standard. The performance of nested-PCR as a malaria diagnostic tool is excellent with respect to its high accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and ability to discriminate Plasmodium species. The sensitivity and specificity of nested-PCR compared with the microscopic method for detection of Plasmodium falciparum, Plasmodium vivax, and P. falciparum/P. vivax mixed infection were 71.4 vs 100%, 100 vs 98.7%, and 100 vs 95.0%, respectively. The sensitivity and specificity of the ELISA-based NovaLisa test kit compared with the microscopic method for detection of Plasmodium genus were 89.0 vs 91.6%, respectively. NovaLisa test kit provided comparable diagnostic performance. Its relatively low cost, simplicity, and rapidity enables large scale field application.
