This paper focuses on finding out visualization process by means of VTA(Visual Task Analysis) of expert teachers' simple task. Findings indicate teachers have coding schema of performing visual task as such; (a) the analyzing by reading and some activities in the task text, (b) conceptualizing or understanding in his/her own way, (c) the explaining of the action or product, (d) the searching by thinking or finding, (e) the decision of visualizing of the task. Expert teachers tried to visualize in the form of abstract graph, and to omit the object which was not directly related to the topic at the pilot study. VAT based on ground theory and protocol analysis was developed and performed. This case study suggests that an additional study for searching a guide and method might be beneficial for conducting a visual task analysis.

The purpose of this research was to develop the tools needed to evaluate the effectiveness of using digital textbooks and smart education. We then developed the tools to evaluate the effectiveness of smart education and digital textbook utilization, which were an identification of 1) seven essential 21st century skills, definitions of each, and prerequisite abilities; 2) five 21st century teacher competencies, definitions of each, and prerequisite abilities; To develop the questionnaire, we conducted a literature review in this area, consulted experts, observed classes, interviewed members of focus groups, and met with policy makers from the Ministry of Education and KERIS. The student questionnaire(26 Questions developed) included; creativity and innovation, critical thinking and problem solving, communication, collaboration, ICT literacy, self-directed learning, and adaptability. The teacher questionnaire(24 questions developed) included; 21st Century Skills, ICT Literacy, Rapport building with learners, Instructional design, Evaluation and reflection. The tools we developed will be able to use for evaluating the effectiveness of smart education and digital textbooks.

This study analyzed the intervention program of smartphone addiction. The literature used for this research analysis was published from Jan. 2010 to Jul. 2019. The foreign literature was searched for in 'Pubmed and Science Direct', and the domestic literature was found in 'RISS, Keris, and KISS'. A total of 310 studies were found and analyzed on the basis of our inclusion and exclusion criteria. Finally, 16 theses were analyzed. Thirteen theses (81%) meet the required evidence level, and three theses (19%) had level III. As a result of analysis on the intervention methods of smartphone addiction, art therapy was found in 6 theses (37.5%), exercise therapy in four theses (25.0%), and cognitive behavior therapy in three theses (18.6%). After the intervention of most of the programs, there were reduced withdrawal symptoms of smartphone addiction, reduced negative feelings like depression, anxiety, and impulsiveness, and increased positive feelings like self-esteem. A smartphone addiction evaluation scale was mostly applied in terms of the evaluated items, along with psychological evaluation. These studies are expected to be effectively used as intervention tools for treating smartphone addiction.

This study systematically analyzed computer-based driving intervention programs for seniors, to provide the academic background for driving intervention for seniors. Articles published from January 2009 till December 2018 were researched and analyzed. 'PubMed, Google Scholar, and Science Direct' were used to search articles published overseas, and 'RISS, KERIS, and KISS' searched for articles published in Korea. Based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, totally 359 papers were retrieved, and 10 articles were finally analyzed; 8 articles (80%) were evidence level I, and 2 articles (20%) were evidence level III. Amongst the computer-based interventions, driving simulators (70%) were the most common, followed by two video image training (20%) and one Nintendo Wii program (10%). In most studies, driving simulators trained the cognitive and visual abilities of seniors and enhanced their abilities to cope with risk situations under various simulated circumstances. Other interventions were also reported to have a positive effect. For evaluating elderly drivers, the driving performance evaluation using a driving simulator was the most common; in addition, evaluations of attention, space-time ability, cognitive function, risk perception, depression and anxiety were also commonly used. We believe that it is appropriate to employ computer-based driving intervention programs for seniors to train and evaluate various domains. We expect that these interventions can be used as an effective tool for safe driving.

Since the recent financial crisis in universities has caused the decrease of academic library budget, the resource sharing has been considered by utilizing inter-library loan (ILL) data for solving the financial deficit. This study aims to identify the collection profiles of western monographs' ILL data among 4-year academic libraries. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, this study analyzes ILL data from 2011 to 2017 using the bibliographic data and ILL transactions of the KERIS union catalog. The findings of the study show that the western monographs was significantly provided by large-scale academic libraries in 2011, however, the extent of major regions expanded, and the number of influential institutions rose in 2016. Second, in 2012, the influence in the ILL network increased in the quantity of western monographs holdings and the proportion of common collections. On the other hand, in 2016, it was also shown that the influence in terms of provision in the ILL network increased in the proportion of unique collections. Lastly, the ILL participating academic libraries were classified into six clusters by a hierarchical clustering analysis of holdings and ILL indexes.

This study evaluated the effects of physical touch play programs in children through a systematic literature review and meta-analysis. A literature search for journal articles published before August 2022 was conducted using KERIS, KISS, DBpia, and ScienceON. The keywords used for the search were 'child', 'infant', 'physical touch', 'physical touch play', 'physical touch activities' and 'physical touch play program'. For the study's purpose, seven studies were selected through a systematic process of using several databases and were used to estimate the effect size of physical touch play programs. A meta-analysis was performed using a random effects model, and the effect size on cognitive function was calculated. Hedges' g of the physical touch play program was 6.20 (95% CI: 3.74-8.66), indicating a large effect size. To determine heterogeneity (I2= 95.4%, Q = 417.30, p<0.001), moderator analysis was performed using the total number of times and intervention duration. The total number of times was statistically significant; the other moderators did not differ significantly. This study systematically analyzed the results of physical touch play programs on children in Korea. It also provides insights that can be applied to the design of physical touch play programs for children. To present more evidence that supports the effectiveness of physical touch programs, further research is warranted.

The purpose of this study is to suggest a plan for establishing SR (systematic review, hereinafter called SR) support services in domestic university libraries through a case study of SR support services in overseas university libraries. For this purpose, a total of 119 overseas university libraries were divided into all fields (subjects and disciplines) and the medical field. And A total of 10 areas such as service fields, service subjects, public relations, librarian roles (counselors, collaborators), education, librarian introduction, team member, application form, SR theoretical content, and others were divided and investigated. As a result, the SR support service of the university libraries being investigated is expanding from the medical field to academic fields such as natural science, engineering, and social science. It was confirmed that there were differences in service support hours, services, and whether co-authors were recognized according to the role of the librarian. Educational services are provided to users for the SR support service with a focus on retrieval strategy and skills. In the promotion of the SR support service, the librarian must suggest that it should be included. The importance of SR support services for Korean university libraries should be emphasized through the analysis of SR support services for overseas university libraries, professional search education should be strengthened in the curriculum. Also Organizations related to university libraries such as KERIS have suggested that systematic SR education support is needed for librarians.

Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate which herbs and herbal formulae are frequently used for the treatment of osteoporosis since 2000. Methods : We searched the CENTRAL, MEDLINE, AMED, CINAHL, Scopus, KISS, Korea MED, KERIS, Kmbase, Dbpia, J-STAGE, CNKI, J Oriental Rehab Med., J Korean Oriental Med., J Oriental Gynecol. using search key words osteoporosis, osteopenia, bone density and bone loss combined with herbal, botanical plant and phytomedicine. Results : 73 studies were reconfirmed and 83 herbs have been found. For single herb, most of them were categorized into Boyik-yak(補益藥, Buyi-yao). For herbal formulae, various herbal formulae are used. Calculating each herb in consisted in each herbal formula, Angelica Gigas Radix(當歸) and Rehmanniae Radix Preparat(熟地黃) turned out to be the most frequently used herb. Conclusions : Further studies regarding herbal medicines on osteoporosis are needed.

This article analyzes the costs and benefits of the seven individuals centers of Foreign Research Information Center. Results of the investment feasibility analysis based on 30 years time span show that 0.99 of BCR (Benefit-Cost Ratio), 5.49% of IRR (Internal Rate of Return), and -507 million Won of NPV (Net Present Value). Sensibility analysis suggests that BCR can be influenced by the journal usage, social rate of discount, and elimination of the duplicate journal among individual centers.

The study concluded that in order to achieve a single sign-on through the federation ID management method must be used among many other methods so to establish a combined approval service that gives access to education related information provided by the 16 city and provincial offices of education and the KERIS(Korea Education & Research Information Service). The federation ID management method allows the usage of authentication policy and enables transfer of ID information to other institutions through standardized processing. Therefore by establishing single sign-on through the federation ID management method allows individual city and provincial office of education to maintain the already existing approval services while combining user identification database.
