  • KEPCO has been constructing the 765 kV double circuit transmission line since 1997. It is worried that the 765 kV transmission lines make TV interference(Ghost and Blocking) due to high tower and multi sub-conductors. This paper presents the mechanism, the measuring method and the results of TV ghost and blocking measurement using a new TV ghost measurement system in a vehicle which was developed by KEPRI.

  • 북제주 내연기관 발전기는 설비 노후로 인하여 경미한 고장이 점차 확대되고 기관 핵심 부품들의 손상이 증가하여 발전원가를 상승시키는 주요요인이 되고 있었다. 즉 정비 부품 교체 비용이 증가하고, 복구 시간이 장시간 소요되는 등 문제점을 안고 있었다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여, 기관의 핵심요소인 실린더와 베어링의 상태를 연속 감시하고, 고장을 미리 발견 조치할 수 있는 컴퓨터시스템에 대하여 논하고자 한다.

  • The proposed algorithm consists of two parts. One is to set up a decision tree to represent the various switching operations available. Another is to identify the most effective the set of switches using proposed search technique and a feeder load balance index.   • This paper Presents two distribution-feeder models to simplify complicated distribution system calculations. These equivalent models are developed to simulate the total series voltage drop at the end of the given feeder and the total line loss of the given feeder accurately. In addition, the proposed models are bidirectional. This means that power infeed can be at either end and the model is accurate. Also, it is shown that the proposed models are suitable for network reconfiguration.

  • This paper describes the present state and development prospect on the protective relaying under high resistance earth faults in transmission systems. Especially it is difficult to detect the fault accompanied with high resistance contary to low resistance. In the complicated power system if the detection is failed, power failure will be occured in large area. New technology with respect to such a problem must be developed. This paper introduces research and development trend in home and abroad.

  • 계통에 발생하는 불안정 현상을 억제하기 위한 방법으로 저주파수 부하차단과 저전압 부하차단이 있다. 저전압 부하차단은 저주파수 부하차단에 비해 지역적 특성이 강하기 때문에 일반적인 기준이 제시되어 있지 않다. 본 논문에서는 정적 모의를 통하여 저전압 기준치를 결정하는 기법을 제안하고 동적 모의를 통하여 이를 검증하고 시지연값도 결정하도록 하였다.

  • Fuel flexibility remains a critical issue related the development of low emission lean premixed combustion system and the combustion adjustment technique. To cover the this work scope with our own technology, KEPCO had focused on operational technology related to GT combustion control. The main purpose of this paper is summary of the research works on fuel flexibility in KRPCO Research Institute recently. Furthermore, the specifications of test facility and research work in the future in KEPRI were also explained briefly for expected collaborative research team in Korea.

  • This paper presents the high frequency (HF) eigenvalue results against IEEE SSR First Benchmark Mode and validation using the simultaneous time-domain simulation program, PSCAD/EMTDC. Two results show a little difference but not much. Particularly, HF eigenvalue analysis results tends to give more conservative results compared to those of the exact time-domain simulation.

  • For evaluation of partial discharge performances of electrical power appratus such as Insulator, circuit breaker and transformer and so on, Partial discharge measuring system(ERA) consisted of PD detector including amplifier, coupling capacitor, PD calibrator and voltage divider are used PD measuring system is very important factor which affect the test result and show reliability of test result in test laboratory, In this paper, we describe tracebility and uncertainty of PD measuring system in test laboratory based on IEC 60270.

  • In this paper, an intelligent demand control system was introduced. This system are composed of demand controller, RTU, power line modem and HMI program. The proposed demand controller was capable of synchronizing with watt-hour meter recommended by KEPCO(Korea Electrical Power Corporation). To control remote loads, network function using powerline communication is implemented in RTU with HMI program and novices are able to operate system easily. Additionally using the power line, the cost and time of installation can b saved. The system performance was proved with a several experiments.
