The purpose of this study is to explore and categorize the rhetorical strategies of text construction in research articles and to provide data for academic writing education for foreign graduate students. This study analyzes 30 research articles by Korean writers from Korean language and Korean language education fields, and categorizes the rhetorical strategies according to the roles of the writer as a RA form composer, a manager of research content, and a communicator. On the basis of the strategies, this study analyzes 18 term papers of foreign graduate students and inspects their weaknesses in using the rhetorical strategies. Based on the results of analysis, this study suggests rhetorical strategy education for KAP learners that emphasizes validity and clarifies argument along with attracting readers.

The purpose of this paper is to design and implement a LED (LEarner Diagnosis system). Mathematics which has learning hierarchies is difficult to learn, if learners don't understand previous learning contents. Before a learner starts learning, the LED offers diagnostic problems to diagnose the learner's understanding ability of the previous learning contents. If the learner don't understand it, then the LED present supplementary contents. After finishing the study, the learner has to pass the test to diagnose whether the learner do mastery learning. The LED makes learners do supplement previous contents, if learners don't understand it, and master all of the contents, learners can achieve learning object.

The purpose of this research is to introduce a new pedagogy for developing English education in the university. It is based on the favorable results of the application of Network English, which is a method that has been used in three classes at Y University for a period of one semester. Network English is a kind of integrated teaching method of offline and online education, and can be a learner-oriented educational method. The online aspect gives learners easier access to the text, regardless of time and place. And in addition to the characteristic of online itself, the various contents in conformity with the learning ability of learners are provided in the text, in order that the learners can get and maintain a desire for study without losing their interest in English. Although the offline part is not much different from traditional classes, the offline education can complement the deficiency of the online and also offer the learners the opportunity for questions and answers. From the results of application of Network English in three classes, the students were satisfied with the method and have more interest in English, which resulted in better grades.

Recently, the current trend for computer based learning is moving from CAI environment to WBI environment. Most web documents for WBI learning are collected by aid of search engine. Instructors use those documents as learning materials after they evaluate availability of retrieved web documents. But, this method has the following problems. First, we search repeatedly the web documents selected by instructor. Second, there is a need for another course of instruction design in order to suggest the web documents for learner. Third, it is very difficult to analyze for relevance between the web documents and test results. In this work, we suggest WAILS(Web Agent Instruction Learning System) that retrieves web documents for WBI learning and guides learning course for learners. WAILS collects web documents for WBI learning by aid of web agent. Then, instructors can evaluate them and suggest to learners by using instruction-learning generating machine. Instructors retrieve web documents and the instruction-learning design at the same time. This can facilitate WBI learning.

Mathematical curriculum has been developed based on learners' level and difficulties of contents. Succeed in solving problem in mathematics depends on the completion of the precedent learning. Thus, it is important to diagnose students beforehand. It is also important to develop problem-solving skills for students. In this thesis, Q&A system is proposed to help students learn various problem solving skills in mathematics. Although the system is currently applicable to mathematics, it can be applied to any other subjects.

Students develop mathematical concepts through concrete operations in the area of mathematics. However, most of the learning contents provided on the web are not interactive and limit interactions with learners. To overcome the limitations, there have been needs to develop learning contents to support active interactions with students according to their cognitive levels. In this study, the curriculum of numbers and number operations in elementary mathematics was analyzed. Based on the object-oriented design principle, "Number Classes" on numbers and number operations were designed and implemented. A class-based learning applet was developed with theses "Number Classes". It was developed in small unit programs based on learning themes of mathematics in elementary schools. With this learning applet, the active explorations through easy operations will help students to learn concepts and principles of numbers and number operations. It will strengthen active interactions of students with computer.

The trend of the computer education is shifting from problem-solving in the real world and using functions for it to behavioristic perspectives which encourage people to acquire the functions simply according to the applying programs of well-known companies. Thus, this research studies the computer instructional model which emphasizes the basic computer education and connections to the real world at the same time. In the constructivistic perspectives, this model emphasizes the learners activities, their using of meta-cognitive strategies to reflect their level of the lesson and collaborative-reflective learning of problem-solving. The research applied in the real computer skill education and according to the result of the research, I could find the experimental group got high level of learning achievement and this benefits to the high level group rather than low and middle group.

In this paper, we proposes to develop an online academic vocabulary dictionary as a way of educating academic vocabulary for content-oriented Korean language education. Various academic languages exist in the content-based Korean language teaching materials they encounter when studying at university. You cannot understand or produce academic text without knowing the academic vocabulary. Therefore, one of the tasks of Korean language education has become to improve educational efficiency by preparing a method for academic vocabulary education that is most suitable for them in consideration of their own. Prior to the development of the online academic vocabulary dictionary, the institute conducted a basic study on how the content should be contained in the online dictionary. Online academic vocabulary dictionaries allow students to naturally link their limited education into and out of the classroom, thereby overcoming the limitations of vocabulary education at the educational scene and maximizing their educational effectiveness.
