본 증례는 대인기피, 대면시 안면홍조 손떨림 등의 증상이 있는 사회공포증 환자에게 한약 처방으로 가미온담탕(加味溫膽湯)을 투여하고 백회(百會), 소부(少府), 신문(神門), 합곡(合谷), 태충(太衝) 등 혈위(穴位)의 침치료와 지언고론요법(至言高論療法), 경자평지요법(驚者平之療法)의 한방정신요법을 사용하여 유효한 결과를 입증한 예이다.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the connection between Stress Response Inventory(SRI), Happiness Index(HI), and Qi-training to find out the meaning of Qi-training on anti-stress. Method: The study group was consisted of 35 subjects training Qi and 179 subjects not training. We bad all subjects to reply to demographic questimnaire, SRI questimnaire and HI questimnaire. We made the Qi-training group write the kinds and periods of Qi seperately. Results and Conclussions : 1. The higer Happines Index score, the subjects bad lower Stress Response Iuventory total score. Each details were connected significantly. 2. The Qi-training group's mean SRI total scores and ill scores were higer than the non-training's significantly. 3. In Qi-training group, mean HI scores get higer as training longer.

Objectives : This study was performed to report the effect of Giungoroen-therapy based on song psychotherapy in the treatment resistant patient with psychosomatic disease. Methods : A 43 year-old female patient suffered from headache, facial numbness, right upper and lower limb's numbness, ptosis, chest discomfort, dysarthria without identifiable physical cause. We diagnosed her as psychosomatic disease, and tried to apply Giungoroen-therapy with Korean traditional medical treatment. But she was resistant to Giungoroen-therapy. So we applied Giungoroen-therapy based on song psychotherapy. Results : After the Giungoroen-therapy based on song psychotherapy, the patient revealed her unrecognized hidden issues and got some insights about herself. Then the symptoms, such as headache, facial numbness, right upper and lower limb's numbness, ptosis, chest discomfort and dysarthria were reduced considerably. Conclusions : These results suggest that Giungoroen-therapy based on song psychotherapy can be effective on improvement of resistant psychosomatic disease.

Objectives : This study was performed to report the effect of oriental treatments for panic disorder with functional gastrointestinal disturbance. Methods : In this case, a 30 year-old female patient has been suffered by panic disorder with functional gastrointestinal disturbance for 10 years. This case can be caused by KanKiUlKyul(肝氣鬱結), KanKiBeomYi(肝氣犯胃) and KanKiSeungBi(肝氣乘脾). We treated the patient with Herbal medication, Cognitive-behavioral therapy and Relaxation therapy. The effects of treatment were measured by GSRS(Gastrointestinal Symptom Rating Scale), BPI(Brief Pain Inventory) and VAS(Visual Analog Scale) Results : As a result of oriental treatments, the symptoms of Panic Disorder with Functional Gastrointestinal Disturbance was improved. Conclusions : These results suggest that oriental treatments have an effect on Panic Disorder with Functional Gastrointestinal Disturbance.

Objective : It Is known that depression disorder has been related to chronic pains such as HIVD and physical harm. We propose that chronic cervical and lumbar herniations of intervertebral disc patients have emotional and psychiatric problems, therefore we compared it to Beck's Depression Inventory scores. Method : We divided them into two groups: The groups consisted of cervical and lumbar HIVD patients. We then requested them to fill out BDI research questionnaires, and evaluated patients according to the information and results. Result : The Beck's Depression Inventory mean score for the cervical - lumbar HIVD group was $14.00{\pm}5.80$, $10.83{\pm}$5.64 each. Higher Scores were recorded for cervical HIVD group than the lumbar HIVD group. Conclusion : There is statistical significance among two groups.(p<.05) however, the two groups' BDI score were lower than the defined boundary line of Depression disorder(16 points).

The Common Symptoms of insomnia are to be hard to sleep, not to get deep sleep, often wake up at night, be easy not to fall asleep again after waking up. In serious conditions, an insomniac can never get to sleep overnight. Herbal acupuncture therapy is especially used for patients who cannot take an oral medication. Another advantage of herbal acupuncture therapy is immediate effect of the herbal potency which is not destroyed during digestion. One patient who have taken western drugs for long time, was treated with Jahageo herbal acupuncture at BaekRo and AnMyen. effectively his insomnia was regulated. So We consider that Jahageo herbal acupuncture is useful in regulation insomnia.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the clinical application of oriental medical therapy(OMT) and psychotherapy to a somatoform disorder patient with chronic pelycalgia and hemiparesis. Methods: We treated the patient with psychotherapy such as relaxation therapy and suggestion. OMT that we used is represented by retention enema therapy. The recovery of the pelycalgia was evaluated by Visual Analogue Scale(VAS). Results: Following the treatment the patient's pelycalgia and hemiparesis was improved. The sum of VAS score was rapidly decreased(from 113 to 28). Conclusion: OMT and psychotherapy have positive effects on the patient with chronic pelycalgia and hemiparesis.

Objectives : Hwabyung Research Center of The Korean Society Of Oriental Neuropsychiatry has attempted to develop 'Clinical Guidelines for the Treatment of Hwabyung' based on the clinical study on the theory of oriental medicine and phenomenological approach. The purpose of this guideline is to establish the basic clinical principles and improve the clinical convenience. Methods : Hwabyung Research Center constructed a committee of experts and advisory group. We extracted the core questions, collected the existing data and evaluated them. Simultaneously, we conducted studies on the major topics. Results : We selected and made suitable tools for the assessment and evaluation. We discovered evidences from clinical studies and developed the standard clinical principles. Conclusions : 'Clinical Guidelines for the Treatment of Hwabyung' is expected to be useful at the primary medical clinics of oriental medicine.
