Differences between the groups of high purchase and low purchase of apparel in low -price retailing (할인점에서 의류 구매빈도가 높은 집단과 낮은 집단간 차이 -할인점 상점속성에 대한 신념 및 할인점 태도, 정보탐색 및 정보원 사용 상품만족도, 인구통계적 특성-)

  • The purposes of this study were 1) to test the differences between two groups who have high and low purchase of apparel in low-price retailing concerning consumers' beliefs and attitude toward low-prce retailing 2) to identify differences between these two groups in type of information search and use of information sources and 3) to investigate differences between department store and low-price retailing in consumers' satisfaction toward products and purchase frequencies of apparel items and differences between two groups in demographic variables. The data were collected via a self-administeered questionnaire from 474 femail adults in Seoul Korea and analyzed by factor analysis t-test and paired t-test. The results of this study were as follows : First based on a series of t-test and paired t-test. the results showed that those who had a high purchase of apparel in low-price retailing had significantly higher belief scores on all of the five store attributes and a more favorable attitude toward low-price retailing than did those who had low purchase. Second those who had high purchase of apparel in low-price retailing had significantly higher scores on ongoing and prepurchase information search and on use of mass media information and interpersonal information source than did those who had low purchase. Third in case of high purchase consumers of apparel in low-price retailing there were not found significant differences between department store and low-price retailing there were not found significant differences between department store and low-price retailing in purchase frequency on man's and women's casual wear of department stores than low-price retailing. However low purchase consumers of apparel in low-price retailing revealed significantly higher purchase frequency on all of seven apparel items of department stores than low-price retailing. Finally there were significant differences between two groups in demographic variables. The papers discussed theoretical implications as well as manageral implications.

A study on the prices trends of landscape woody plants(1985-1994) in Korea (조경수목 가격의 10년간(1985-1994) 변화에 관한 연구)

  • This study was conduced out to analyze the price trends of landscape woody plants during the past ten years. The method of this study was applied to secendary data analysis and the data were collected from "Government Specified Monthly Price Book" and "Monthly Price Book" The results of this study were as follows : 1. The annual average increasing rate of the GSP price was 3.9% while the KPRC price was 8.9% for the past ten years. The ratio of the KPRC price by GSP price was 94.7% in 1985 and it increased by 147.3% in 1994. This increase indicates a large price margin between two prices. The GSP price should be readjusted to a realistic level. 2. For the same period, the prices of native Korean tree were raised by 3.8% and 9.5% in annual average rate. Meanwhile, the exotic tree prices were raised by 3.6% for and 7.8% for in annual average rate. The prices of native Korean tree were raised more than those the exotic tree. 3. The annual average increasing rates of the twenty for species prices which were high ranked among all species prices were 12% for and 21.5% for . These top twenty species drove to markup trend of tree prices. 4. The annual average price increasing rate of major species which are used frequently for landscaping was higher than total increasing rate of all species. This result shows that the prices of the major species markup more than others. 5. From 1985 to 1994, the prices of 29 new species were listed on "The government specified monthly price book" and the prices of 40 species were newly listed on "Monthly price book". On the contrary, 3 species from "The government specified Monthly Book" and 10 species from "Monthly Price Book" were eliminated. The number of new listed on the native Korean species were twice as many as the exotic species. In addition, there is a need to study and explain reaon of the elimination.

An Approach for Stock Price Forecast using Long Short Term Memory

  • The Stock price analysis is an increasing concern in a financial time series. The purpose of the study is to analyze the price parameters of date, high, low, and news feed about the stock exchange price. Long short term memory (LSTM) is a cutting-edge technology used for predicting the data based on time series. LSTM performs well in executing large sequence of data. This paper presents the Long Short Term Memory Model has used to analyze the stock price ranges of 10 days and 20 days by exponential moving average. The proposed approach gives better performance using technical indicators of stock price with an accuracy of 82.6% and cross entropy of 71%.

  • Our nation has a problem with discrimination of income distribution and inefficient of resources distribution caused by real estate price rising from a sudden economy growth and industrialization. Specially, in recent years, there is a great disparity of apartment price between the north and south of the Han river. Because the housing price is decided by the immanent value of a house and neighborhood effects of the regional where the house is situated, the housing price is occurred difference. The purpose of study was to analyze the influence of various factors of housing price. Also, this study tried to predict real estate market and to establish previous effective real estate policy. In this study, we analyzed the differences of housing price determinants about apartment developments between the north and south of the Han river, and found the important factors that affect the housing price using Structural Equation Modeling(SEM). As a result of this study, the older the buildings are, the more the housing price and the housing price rising ratio have increased, in Gang Nam area. This reason is that these have large possibility to be reconstructed and many convenient facilities, in this area. In the case of Kang Buk area, the increase rate of housing price are so low that they couldn't take effect on the housing price and they were declined. So to speak, constructing the infrastructure which takes effect on the increase rate of housing price is very urgent.

A Leading-price Analysis of Wando Abalone Producer Prices by Shell Size Using VAR Model (VAR 모형을 이용한 크기별 완도 전복가격의 선도가격 분석)

  • This study aims to analyze causality among Wando abalone producer prices by size using a vector autoregressive model to expiscate the leading-price of Wando abalone in various price classes by size per kg. This study, using an analytical approach, applies a unit-root test for stability of data, a Granger causality test to learn about interaction among price classes by size for Wando abalone, and a vector autoregressive model to estimate the statistical impact among t-1 variables used in the model. As a result of our leading-price analysis of Wando abalone producer prices by shell size using a VAR model, first, DF, PP, and KPSS tests showed that the Wando abalone monthly price change rate by size differentiated by logarithm were stable. Second, the Granger causality relationship analysis showed that the price change rate for big size abalone weakly led the price change rate for the small and medium sizes of abalone. Third, the vector autoregressive model showed that three price change rates of t-1 period variables statistically, significantly impacted price change rates of own size and other sizes in t period. Fourth, the impulse response analysis indicated that the impulse responses of structural shocks for price change rate for big size abalone was relatively more powerful in its own size and in other sizes than shocks emanating from other sizes. Fifth, the variance decomposition analysis indicated that the price change rate for big size abalone was relatively more influential than the price change rates for medium and small size abalone.

  • Internet lowers the search cost to acquire information about products and sellers price information. Because consumers can easily compare prices among different Internet retailers, the price competition among merchants in Internet has been intensified. For online retailers, it is important to differentiate their sites from competitors based upon services rather than prices. This study investigates which factors influence on consumers price sensitivity in Internet book markets and examines whether consumers price sensitivity has any effect on the type of preferred Internet bookstore (hybrid or pure online book stores). Survey is conducted to empirically investigate the relationship among the various consumer attitudes and price sensitivity. The result shows that price search and price importance have effect on the choice of Internet bookstore. Consumers with higher price sensitivity preferred to purchase books from pure Internet bookstores rather than hybrid (click-and-mortar) bookstores. This study provides an exploratory framework that tries to understand consumer behavior about price sensitivity that might provide some marketing implications to lessen the price competition of Internet retailers.

A Study on Economic Operation for Liner-Fleet by Fluctuation of Fuel Oil Price - Focusing on the Case of 'H' Shipping Company -

  • For container shipping company, fuel oil prise is a considerable expense. Since 2008, fuel oil prises have risen dramatically. An increasing fuel oil price in container shipping, in the short term, is only partially compensated through surcharges and may affect earnings negatively. This study discusses the impact of an increasing fuel oil price and capital costs for vessels on the Asia-Europe trade of 'H' Shipping Company. According to the result of 'H' carrier's operation in 2008, there were no cost differences between 8 and 9 vessels operations in case of fuel oil price with USD 169/tons while adopting USD 31,818 as a fixed cost. We can expect that the fuel oil price will not go lower than USD 200/Ton on the basis of current high oil price phenomenon. When the fuel oil price is over USD 200/ton, 9 vessel operation is more economic than 8 vessel operation even if the fixed cost is over USD 35,000.

  • This study aimed to seek a method capable of hedging a rising risk of housing rent price by introducing derivatives with the target of Korean housing rent markets. The research model used in this thesis progressed a research by applying a futures contract method with the target of the rent price of major apartments in Gangnam and Gangbuk Regions of Seoul. As an analysis result, the rent price of all complexes has risen during its analysis period, so it could be confirmed that the CRB future index was also risen according to this. Finally, it was confirmed that the rising risk of the rent price can be hedged through a purchase position of futures. But, as the difference between rent price variation and CRB future index variation occurs, it appeared that 100% of hedge is difficult. However, it is judged that if considering that a method capable of hedging the rising risk of the existing rent price was nonexistent, the hedge trading effect utilizing the CRB future index on the rent price will be meaningful.

  • Today, because of the consumers who should constantly decide which to buy in a flood of information can't search for complete information by the limited time and the lack of the ability in evaluating the goods, the price being important as the information clue in consumers' goods or dependence on the price will be gradually increasing. The purpose of this study is to know how much price sensitivity recognized by consumers will have and effect on buying feeling of satisfaction in internet shopping mall. The result of this study is that the consumers' target-oriented behavior searching appropriate price for buying goods in internet shopping mall substantially elevates the price sensitivity and shapes the positive attitude toward the feeling of satisfaction. It is meaningful in that it has provided the base for studying the price sensitivity centering around some limited factors through actual proof of how the consumers respond to the price at this point of activating online transactions.

Price Determinant Factors of Artworks and Prediction Model Based on Machine Learning (작품 가격 추정을 위한 기계 학습 기법의 응용 및 가격 결정 요인 분석)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the interaction effects between price determinants of artworks. We expand the methodology in art market by applying machine learning techniques to estimate the price of artworks and compare linear regression and machine learning in terms of prediction accuracy. Methods: Moderated regression analysis was performed to verify the interaction effects of artistic characteristics on price. The moderating effects were studied by confirming the significance level of the interaction terms of the derived regression equation. In order to derive price estimation model, we use multiple linear regression analysis, which is a parametric statistical technique, and k-nearest neighbor (kNN) regression, which is a nonparametric statistical technique in machine learning methods. Results: Mostly, the influences of the price determinants of art are different according to the auction types and the artist 's reputation. However, the auction type did not control the influence of the genre of the work on the price. As a result of the analysis, the kNN regression was superior to the linear regression analysis based on the prediction accuracy. Conclusion: It provides a theoretical basis for the complexity that exists between pricing determinant factors of artworks. In addition, the nonparametric models and machine learning techniques as well as existing parameter models are implemented to estimate the artworks' price.
