  • The central objective of this paper is to check different effects developed by interaction with a gender and brand attributes related to the brand authenticity such as brand authority and brand ethicality. The survey method was used for this paper, and data from a total of 136 office workers were used for the analysis. The data were analyzed using smartPLS, a structural equation modeling tool. The results of the analysis are summarized as follows. First, brand authority has a significant effect on brand authenticity in both male and female. Second, brand ethicality has a significant effect on brand authenticity in only male. Third, brand authenticity has a significant effect on purchase and word-of-mouth intention in only male. Therefore brand authority is the determinant of the perceived brand authenticity. The findings have significant implications which the study inquires into the gender difference in the perceived brand authenticity of consumers.

  • Prior researches on brand authenticity so far have focused on the scale development for measuring brand authenticity. However, at the point of time it is necessary to consider the utilization of the proposed scale in an integrative approach. Accordingly, this study aims to examine brand authenticity mediated the effect of brand authority and ethicality on purchase and word-of-mouth intention. The survey method was used for this paper, and data from a total of 136 office workers were used for the analysis. And structural equation model was used to analyze the data. The results of this empirical study is summarized as followings. First, brand authority and ethicality do not have a direct effect on purchase and word-of-mouth intention but brand authenticity mediates the effect of brand authority and ethicality. Second, brand authority and ethicality have positive effect on brand authenticity. This study provides information on the purchase and word-of-mouth intention of salary man. Further, it will provide meaning suggestion point of the importance of brand authenticity in establishing the policy of brand management.

  • Despite regular vaccinations, equine influenza virus (EIV) and Streptococcus equi subsp. equi (strangles) are the cause of highly contagious respiratory infections in horses. Many recent studies have reported that the concurrent administration of two vaccines could simplify horse management and minimize veterinary expenses. However, there is little information available regarding the efficacy of concurrent vaccinations against EIV and strangles. In this study, we evaluated EIV-specific antibody responses following the single EIV vaccination with the recombinant viral-vectored EIV vaccine or concurrent vaccination with the EIV and inactivated strangles vaccines. Blood samples were collected at 1-, 2-, 4-, and 8 weeks post-immunization (wpi) from each group. EIV-specific antibodies were evaluated by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and hemagglutination inhibition (HAI) assay. Both single and concurrent vaccination showed similar levels of EIV-specific serum immunoglobulin g (IgG) at 1 and 2 wpi. However, at 4 to 8 wpi, the EIV-only vaccination group showed significantly higher serum IgG levels than those from the concurrently vaccinated group. The HAI titers showed similar trends as the ELISA data, except at 8 wpi when both groups presented HAI titers with no significant differences. These data demonstrate that the concurrent vaccination against EIV and strangles could compromise the humoral immune response to equine influenza between vaccination intervals, which suggests the use of the consecutive vaccination protocol for EIV and strangles rather than concurrent vaccination.

  • The study answers the awareness of taxpayers, tax authority services, tax socialization, tax collection, and account representative's controlling (monitoring) for compliance of the corporate Taxpayer. The study also examines the moderating effect of the tax audit to control the corporate Taxpayer's compliance. In this study, the method of non-probability sampling was used. The research data was gathered by handing out questionnaires at the Medan Kota Tax Office in Indonesia. The SEM method was used for data analysis through Lisrel 8.8 program. The findings of the study concluded that tax collection has a significant positive effect on corporate taxpayer's compliance and Tax audit moderates the relation between tax authority services and the account representative's controlling (monitoring) with corporate taxpayers' compliance. Also, tax socialization and account representative's controlling (monitoring) have a positive effect on the corporate taxpayer's compliance. In contrast, variables of taxpayer's awareness and tax authority services have a negative impact. Furthermore, tax audit does not moderate the relation between taxpayer awareness, tax socialization, and tax collection with the corporate taxpayer's compliance at Medan Kota Tax Office Indonesia. The findings suggest the Indonesian policymakers and tax authorities must create corporate legislation to handle compliance by leveraging the loopholes in tax legislation law and the tax audit system.

  • This study developed a name access point control system for better performance of information retrieval from institutional repositories, which are equipped with authorgenerated metadata processes for self-archiving. In developing name access point control data for the system, the primary data were created from the existing authority. However, unlike the existing authority data, the primary data did not use any authority forms. Instead, the data utilized all the forms provided by the resources as access points. Specifically, field of activity(subject) and title information on authorship were used to distinguish between persons who have the same name. The result showed that the system improved the performance of the information retrieval. The system has been also expected to be utilized over other metadata provided by libraries, in addition to the institutional repositories, in order to provide better quality information.

  • In classical encryption schemes, data is encrypted under a single key that is associated with a user or group. In Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption(CP-ABE) keys are associated with attributes of users, given to them by a central trusted authority, and data is encrypted under a logical formula over these attributes. We extend this idea to the case where an arbitrary number of independent parties can be present to maintain attributes and their corresponding secret keys. We present a scheme for multi-authority CP-ABE, propose the first two constructions that fully implement the scheme, and prove their security against chosen plaintext attacks.

  • The Relational ranking method applies authority-based ranking in relational dataset that can be modeled as graphs considering also their tuples' values. Authority directions from tuples that contain the given keywords and transfer to their corresponding neighboring nodes in accordance with their values and semantic connections. From our previous work, ObjectRank extends to ValueRank that also takes into account the value of tuples in authority transfer flows. In a maked difference from ObjectRank, which only considers authority flows through relationships, it is only valid in the bibliographic databases e.g. DBLP dataset, ValueRank facilitates the estimation of importance for any databases, e.g. trading databases, etc. A relational keyword search paradigm Object Summary (denote as OS) is proposed recently, given a set of keywords, a group of Object Summaries as its query result. An OS is a multilevel-tree data structure, in which node (namely the tuple with keywords) is OS's root node, and the surrounding nodes are the summary of all data on the graph. But, some of these trees have a very large in total number of tuples, size-l OSs are the OS snippets, have also been investigated using ValueRank. We evaluated the real bibliographical dataset and Microsoft business databases to verify of our proposed approach.
