고용불안과 그 원인에 관한 연구 (Research on the Employment Instability and Its Causes)

  • 본 연구는 고용불안을 정의하고 실제 자료를 사용하여 이를 측정하여 고용불안에 대한 사실들(facts)을 찾고 그 원인을 분석한다. 고용불안을 실직의 두려움과 재취업의 어려움으로 정의할 때 우리나라에서 고용불안은 외환위기 발생 전에 비해 2000년 이후 상당히 높아졌으며 이는 대부분 일용직 종사자 집단의 고용불안 증대에 기인한다. 이러한 고용불안의 증대는 고용의 소멸이 많아졌기 때문이기도 하지만 창출되는 고용도 일용직 중심으로 이루어지고 있기 때문이다. 뿐만 아니라 외환위기 하에서 대대적으로 실시된 공공근로 정책으로 일용직에 진입한 근로자들의 고용불안 증대가 노동시장 전체의 고용불안 증대와 깊이 관련되어 있다.

  • 본 연구는 프로젝트기반 수업을 설계 및 적용함으로써 학생들의 진로인식과 수학에 대한 태도 변화를 확인하고자 하였다. 프로젝트기반 수업을 수학과의 특성에 적합하도록 기본개념 학습 단계를 추가하여 구체적인 수업의 사례를 제시함으로써 수학과 교수 학습 방법의 다양화에 기여하고 학생들의 변화를 확인하고자 하였다. 서울지역 초등학교 6학년 1개 학급 28명의 학생들을 대상으로 7주 동안 19차시에 걸쳐 미래사회 역량과 관련된 유망직업 소재를 포함하여 설계한 프로젝트기반 수학수업을 실시하였다. 대상 학생의 수가 충분치 못하여 정량적 분석을 보완하기 위하여 학습자들의 서술과 수행 결과물을 통해 정성적인 분석을 함께 실시하였다. 그 결과 학생들이 수학에 대한 태도와 진로인식에 있어 긍정적인 변화를 보이는 것으로 나타났다.

제약부 구간 선형 회귀모델에 의한 실동시간의 견적 (Estimation of the Actual Working Time by Interval Linear Regression Models with Constraint Conditions)

  • The actual working time of jobs, in general, is different to the standard time of jobs. In this paper, in order to analyze the actual working time of each job in production, we use the total production amount and the encessary total working time. The method which analyzes the actual working time is as follows. In this paper, we propose the interval regression analysis for obtaining an interval linear regression model with constraint conditions with respect to interval parameters. The merits of this method are the following.1) it is easy to obtain an interval linear model by solving a LP problem to which the formulation of proposed regression analysis is reduced, 2) it is easy to add constraint conditions about interval parameters, which are a sort of expert knowledge. As an application, within a case which has given certain data, the actual working time of jobs and the number of workers in a future plan are estimated through the real data obtianed from the operation of processing line in a heavy industry company. It results from the proposed method that the actual working time and the number of workers can be estimated as intervals by the interval regression model.

  • We have constructed three characteristic internship programs which were based on the different aspects of view by the grant in aid from MEXT of Japanese government. The most outstanding program is what we call "Market Internship", where the students directly approach the market in which the engineering technologies are utilized. Then they must find out the problems and advantages of engineering technologies from the view of consumers. The experience would result in the enhancement of motivation to study the engineering technologies. It would be substantially effective in engineering education curriculums that the engineers of private companies in which university students will get their own jobs in near future could take important roles to conduct them. We believe that this activity would effective in reducing gaps they would feel between before and after getting jobs in practical society, and lowering the ratio of unemployment after getting jobs.

Developing a Best-Evidence Pre-employment Medical Examination: An Example from the Construction Industry

  • The Dutch construction industry has introduced a compulsory preemployment medical examination (PE-ME). Best-evidence contents related to specific job demands are, however, lacking and need to be gathered. After the identification of job demands and health problems in the construction industry (systematic literature search and expert meeting), specific job demands and related requirements were defined and instruments proposed. Finally, a work ability assessment was linked to the instruments' outcomes, resulting in the modular character of the developed PE-ME. Twenty-two specific job demands for all Dutch construction jobs were identified, including kneeling/squatting, working under time pressure, and exposure to hazardous substances. The next step was proposing self-report questions, screening questionnaires, clinical tests, and/or performance-based tests, leading to a work ability judgment. "Lifting/carrying" is described as an example. The new modular PE-ME enables a job-specific assessment of work ability to be made for more than 100 jobs in the Dutch construction industry.

Rate-Modifying 활동이 있는 병렬기계의 Makespan 최소화를 위한 일정 계획 (Parallel Machines Scheduling with Rate-Modifying Activities to Minimize Makespan)

  • This paper deals with the problem of scheduling jobs and rate-modifying activities on parallel machines. A rate-modifying activity is an activity that changes the production rate of equipment such as maintenance and readjustment. If a job is scheduled after the rate-modifying activity, then the processing time varies depending on the modifying rate of the activity. In this study, we extend the single machine problem to parallel machines problem and propose algorithms is to schedule the rate-modifying activities and jobs to minimize the makespan on parallel machines which is NP-hard. We propose a branch and bound algorithm with three lower bounds to solve medium size problems optimally. Also we develop three heuristics, Modified Longest Processing Time, Modified MULTIFIT and Modified COMBINE algorithms to solve large size problems. The test results show that branch and bound algorithm finds the optimal solution in a reasonable time for medium size problems (up to 15 jobs and 5 machines). For large size problem, Modified COMBINE and Modified MULTIFIT algorithms outperform Modified LPT algorithm in terms of solution quality.

  • The aims of this article were to examine the basic law, contents and concept of educational program for healthy family and provide the jobs and competency of healthy family supporter for educational work. The research objects were 53 healthy family supporters for educational work inclusive of full-time and part-time position. They was analyzed through the survey. The process of research consisted of two parts. One was to suggest their jobs and requirements, the other were to offer their core competency and area for improvement. First, the jobs of healthy family supporters for educational work were the planning and valuation of program. The requirements for the performance of their duties are having a bachelor's degree or a master's degree, career for 1-3years, and a certificate of qualification of healthy family supporters, social worker and family counselor. Second, their competencies were the understanding of education for family life, management for healthy family support center, planning and valuation of educational program, a theory of counsel, community networking, ability of documentation, sociality, communication skill, the ability of solving the problem, the adaptation of various environments, receptiveness, positiveness and so on.

계산 그리드를 위한 서비스 예측 기반의 작업 스케줄링 모델 (Service Prediction-Based Job Scheduling Model for Computational Grid)

  • Grid computing is widely applicable to various fields of industry including process control and manufacturing, military command and control, transportation management, and so on. In a viewpoint of application area, grid computing can be classified to three aspects that are computational grid, data grid and access grid. This paper focuses on computational grid which handles complex and large-scale computing problems. Computational grid is characterized by system dynamics which handles a variety of processors and jobs on continuous time. To solve problems of system complexity and reliability due to complex system dynamics, computational grid needs scheduling policies that allocate various jobs to proper processors and decide processing orders of allocated jobs. This paper proposes a service prediction-based job scheduling model and present its scheduling algorithm that is applicable for computational grid. The service prediction-based job scheduling model can minimize overall system execution time since the model predicts the next processing time of each processing component and distributes a job to a processing component with minimum processing time. This paper implements the job scheduling model on the DEVS modeling and simulation environment and evaluates its efficiency and reliability. Empirical results, which are compared to conventional scheduling policies, show the usefulness of service prediction-based job scheduling.

연속적인 서브메쉬 할당기법에서 단편화를 최소화하는 기법 (Minimizing Fragmentation in Contiguous Submesh Allocation Scheme)

  • 대규모 멀티컴퓨터 시스템에서 단편화를 줄일 수 있는 적응성 있는 프로세서 할당 기법을 제안한다. 큰 크기의 서브메쉬 할당을 요구하는 작업들의 개수가 적을 경우에도 나머지 작업들의 대기 큐의 지연시간이 증가할 수 있다. 이런 상황에서 할당이 불가능한 기존의 기법들과 달리, L-모양 서브메쉬를 할당할 수 있으며, 할당 가능한 L-모양 서브메쉬를 효율적으로 탐색하는 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 그러므로 FCFS로 스케쥴링되어도, 대기 큐의 지연시간을 줄임으로써 평균응답시간을 줄일 수 있다. 시뮬레이션 결과를 통해서 제안하는 기법이 외부 단편화, 작업응답시간, 그리고 시스템의 활용도 면에서 다른 기법들보다 우수함을 보인다.
