노인의 가정내 의사결정권에 따른 자아존중감 및 생활적응 (Relationships among the Elderly's Self-Esteem and Life-Adjustment according to Decision-Making Power in Their Family)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the relationships among the elderly's self-esteem and life-adjustment according to decision-making power in their family. Interview survey was conducted and were selected. 296 over age 60 who lived in Jeonju. Frequencies, Percentiles, Pearson's correlation, t-test, ANOVA and Duncan's method were utilized for data analysis. The findings of this study were as follows ; 1) Decision-making power of the elderly in family had significant differences according to sex, coresiding with married children, and the sum of monthly personal expenses. 2) Elderly's self-esteem had significant differences according to sex, the present job, the situation of a spouse, and the sum of the monthly personal expenses. 3) Elderly's life-adjustment had significant difference according to residence type, the present job, the situation of a spouse, religion, education, and the sum of the monthly personal expenses. 4) Clothing and food in family had significant differences according to sex. 5) The elderly men's self-esteem had positive relationship with housing, sons and daughters guidance, grandchildren care, and family event and etc. But the elderly women's self-esteem had positive relationship with food, grandchildren care, and family event and etc. 6) The elderly men's life-adjustment had positive relationship with clothing, food, housing, family economy, sons and daughters guidance, grandchildren care, and family event and etc. But the elderly women's life-adjustment had positive relationship with food, housing, sons and daughters guidance, grandchildren care, and family event and etc.

아동의 또래지위지각 관련변인 연구 (An Empirical Study on Children′s Peer Status Perception)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate children's perceptions of their own peer status and the variables that affect the perception. Four hundred boys and girls in grades five and six participated in this study. The participants were sampled from elementary schools located in two cities in Cheon-buk Province. Out of the 400 self-report questionnaires filled by the participants, 380 were used for the data analyses. The methods of analyses included basic descriptive categorical analysis (frequencies, means, percentages) as well as t-test, one way ANOVA, and multiple regressions. To summarize major findings from the analyses; first, a significant difference was found in children's aggression by father's job and mother's age, in children's popularity by school GPA, father's education, mother's education, and fathers job, and in children's isolation by father's age, father's education, mother's education, and father's job. Second, children's aggression was significantly dependent upon self-esteem, loneliness, family harmony, and family communication. Children's popularity was related with school grade, name satisfaction, body satisfaction, self-esteem, number of close friends, loneliness, family harmony family communication, parental love and acceptance, and perceived closeness to mother. Children's isolation was significantly associated with school grade, body satisfaction, self-esteem, number of close friends, loneliness, family harmony, family communication, parental love and acceptance, and perceived closeness to mother Third, according to the multiple regression analyses, it was found that highly aggressive children tend to report less family harmony, more loneliness, and a larger number of friends. Also, highly popular children tend to report less loneliness, larger number of friends, strong family harmony, and higher academic achievement. On the other hand, highly isolated children tend to perceive weak family harmony, more loneliness, and lower body satisfaction. Lastly, the overall peer status indicator depended significantly on family harmony, loneliness, self-esteem, academic achievement, body satisfaction.

청소년의 상징적 소비성향에 관한 연구 (A Study in The Propensity for Symbolic Consumption of Adolescents)

  • The objectives of this study are to examine the degree of propensity for symbolic consumption among adolescents and its factors, and to investigate the effects of demographic variables - sex, grade, father's education, mother's education, father's job, mother's job, monthly allowance, monthly household income - self-esteem, and socialization agents variables - parents, friends, mass media - on the propensity. In this study, the propensity for symbolic consumption is defined as the propensity to consume products through their affective, subjective, and symbolic value rather than through their practical and utility value. The data used in this study were collected from 509 adolescents who are in the 2nd grade of middle or high schools in Pusan. The research results can be summarized as follows: 1. The propensity for symbolic consumption were found to have significant differences according to sex, father's education, mother's education, mother's job, and monthly allowance. 2. It differs significantly according to adolescents' self-esteem. That is, the lower self-esteem adolescents have, the higher propensity for symbolic consumption they show. 3. It also differs significantly according to the degree of communication with parents, the degree of accepting friends' view, the degree of communication with friends, the degree of informative influence from friends, and the degree of taking in mass media.

사무직 공무원들의 피로수준 및 관련요인 (Fatigue Symptoms and Its Related Factors among Clerical Public Officers)

  • Objectives: The administrative employees of government were analyzed on their levels of fatigue symptoms to reveal the various factors related to them. Methods: The self-administered questionnaires were performed, during the period between Dec. 5th, 2005 and Jan. 31st, 2006, to 1,005 individuals in the service of general administration located in Daejeon Metropolitan City. The survey items included subjects' socio-demographic and job-related characteristics, health-related behavior, degree of job demand, job autonomy, social support in work, type A behavior pattern, locus of control, sense of self-esteem, and degree of fatigue. The study results were analyzed and the authors came to the following major findings, by univariate and multiple regression analysis with degree of fatigue dependent variables and other variables independent. Results and Conclusions: The study results indicated that the level of fatigue symptoms is so complicatedly influenced by variable factors as well as job-related characteristics such as socio-demographic characteristics, rank in work, or job career, to a greater extent, by job specifications and personality traits(type A) like whether performing health-related behavior or not, job demand, job autonomy, social support in work, or sense of self-esteem. Thus the effective strategy for stress reduction among governmental employees requires additional programs focusing on innovated job specifications and managed personality trait.

어머니의 직무만족도가 양육스트레스, 부부갈등에 미치는 영향: 심리적 특성의 매개효과 (Mediating Effects of Psychological Features in the Causal Relationship Between an Infant-Mother's Job Satisfaction, Parenting Stress, and Marital Conflict)

  • 본 연구에서는 어머니의 직무만족도, 심리적 특성, 양육스트레스, 부부갈등 간의 관계를 살펴보고, 구조방정식 분석을 활용하여 어머니의 직무만족도가 양육스트레스와 부부갈등에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 심리적 특성(자기효능감, 자아존중감, 우울)이 매개 역할을 하는지 검증하였다. 이를 위해 한국아동패널 3차년도 자료 중, 취업 중인 어머니 444명을 분석대상으로 하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 어머니의 직무만족도는 심리적 특성인 자기효능감, 자아존중감과는 정적 상관관계, 우울과 부적 상관관계, 결혼생활 관련 변인인 양육스트레스, 부부갈등과 부적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 직무만족도는 양육스트레스에는 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않지만, 어머니의 직무만족도는 부부갈등에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 직무만족도가 양육스트레스와 부부갈등에 미치는 영향을 대체로 심리적 특성이 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 양육스트레스와 부부 갈등 분야에서의 본 연구의 의의와 가족 상담 과정에서의 시사점에 대해 논의하였다.

일부 지역사회 독거노인의 여가활동유형과 건강상태, 자아존중감, 사회적지지와의 관계 연구 (The Leisure Type, Health Status, Self-esteem, and Social Support of the Elderly Living Alone)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to analyze the conditions of the leisure type, health status, self-esteem, and social support of the elderly living alone. Method: The subjects were 189 elderly. The instrument was a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficient. Results: The frequency of the leisure types of the elderly living alone was in the order of culture, rest, social activity and sports. The following factors showed a statistically significant relation: gender, education, religion and marital status with leisure type; age, economic status, job and leisure type with perceived health status; education, economic status and religion with self-esteem; and economic status, marital status and religion with social support. There was a negative correlation between ADL and both perceived health status, and self-esteem, but positive correlations between self-esteem and perceived health status, and between social support and both perceived health status and self-esteem. Conclusion: To maintain the quality of life of the elderly living alone, this study suggests that providing various leisure activities could raise self-esteem, and thereby complement for any deficiencies in family and social support.

성격과 직무스트레스의 상호작용이 직무만족에 미치는 영향: 사고경험 기관사와 무사고 기관사의 비교 (The Effects of Interaction between Personality and Job Stress on Job Satisfaction: The Comparison between Accidents-laden and Accidents-free Train Drivers)

  • 본 연구는 철도기관사를 대상으로 성격특성 요인인 자기효능감, 내적통제위치, 그리고 조직기반 자긍심이 직무스트레스, 직무만족 및 사고와 어떤 관련이 있는지 살펴보는데 주된 목적을 두고 수행되었다. 현직기관사 212명의 설문에 대해 통계분석을 행한 결과, 무사고 기관사의 경우 성격요인이 직무스트레스 요인과의 상호작용을 통해 직무만족을 높이거나 낮추는 유의한 조절작용을 수행한다는 사실이 검증되었다. 이는 사고경험자와 무사고자 간에 성격요인이 일정한 설명력을 지니는 판별변수라는 사실을 의미하는 것으로 향후 기관사의 선발과정에서 성격요인의 철저한 검증이 그만큼 중요함을 시사하는 부분이다.

병원 영양사들의 소진과 직무만족 요인 및 상관관계에 대한 연구 (A Study on Factors and Correlations of Burnout and Job Satisfaction of Dietitians in Hospitals)

  • This study aimed to examine factors and the correlations of burnout and job satisfaction in hospital dietitians. Burnout was classified into three sub-concepts: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced personal accomplishment. Job satisfaction was also classified into three sub-concepts, including relationships, self-realization, and advancement opportunities. A survey was conducted with dietitians working in general hospitals of over 400 beds, in the Seoul metropolitan area. The factors that significantly influenced emotional exhaustion were health, work hours, number of intern dietitians, self-esteem, level of responsibility, while the factors that influenced depersonalization were relationships with coworkers, and role ambiguity. Personal accomplishment was influenced by age, the number of staff dietitians, the general number of managed workers, and self-esteem. In terms of job satisfaction, relationship was affected by age and relationships with supervisors, while self-realization was influenced by work hours, health, the number of patient meals, and role ambiguity. Age, job regularity, business management, role ambiguity, and relationships with supervisors also affected advancement opportunities. Emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and reduced personal accomplishments, which represented burnout, had negative relationships with satisfaction with relationships, self-realization and advancement opportunities. Dietitians with low job satisfaction were likely to experience burnout. These results suggest that burnout and job satisfaction are influenced by internal and external factors that are individual or organizational problems encountered by hospital dietitians. Therefore, managers as well as dietitians need to understand these factors and overcome them through communication and mutual support.

임상간호사의 욕구만족과 이직의도의 관계에서 직무만족의 매개효과 (Mediation Effect of Job Satisfaction in the Relationship between Need Satisfaction and Turnover Intention of Clinical Nurses)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 임상간호사를 대상으로 Maslow의 욕구위계이론에 근거한 5가지 욕구만족이 직무만족과 이직의도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 욕구만족과 이직의도의 관계에서 직무만족의 매개효과를 확인한 융합연구이다. 연구참여자는 서울에 소재한 종합병원의 임상간호사 239명이었다. 수집한 자료는 위계적 회귀분석과 PROCESS Macro (Model 4)를 이용하여 매개효과를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 생리적 욕구와 안전 욕구는 직무만족에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았고, 소속감 욕구, 존중 욕구 및 자아실현 욕구가 직무만족에 유의한 정적 영향을 미쳤다. 반면, 생리적 욕구와 존중 욕구가 이직의도에 유의한 부적 영향을 미쳤다. 임상간호사의 욕구만족(생리적 욕구, 안전 욕구, 소속감 욕구 및 자아실현 욕구)과 이직의도 간의 관계에서 직무만족의 매개변수가 유의하게 나타났다. 임상간호사의 5가지 욕구만족이 증가하면 직무만족을 매개로 하여 의직의도를 감소시킬 수 있으므로, 간호사의 욕구만족과 직무만족을 효과적으로 관리할 필요가 있음을 논의하였다.

아버지의 양육스트레스에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Parenting Stress of Fathers)

  • This paper investigates the parenting stress of fathers who have preschooler. At first, a causal model constructed, including the parenting stress as a dependent variable and the psychological characteristics of paternal self-esteem and parenting efficacy as parameters. Based on the change of parenting stress, self-esteem and parenting efficacy according to various pertinent to fathers, the causal effect of various variables effecting on the paternal parenting stress is analyzed. The SPSS PC program was used for the statistical analysis, where fully exploited were frequencies, percentages, means, standard deviations, Cronbach α, one-way analysis(ANOVA), path analysis. The results can be summarized into 3 parts, in conclusion: 1) The younger a father is, the higher paternal self-esteem becomes. Paternal self-esteem trend was there, for a father who is a member of large family, and for a father whose education level is high, and for a father whose occupation is professional. Regarding parenting sense of competence, a father shows confidence when he has more income, more educated and less children. 2) The variable analysis effecting on the parenting stress dut to the paternal environment shows that a father feels more stress when his income is less and his spouse is working. The sub-factor analysis on the parenting stress shows that 'typical stress dut to the parenting' increases when his income is less and his spouse is working, and 'pressures pertaning to the parental role and distress' increases for a father with less income, working spouse, less educated and non-professional job. Further 'guilty to the parenting by others' shows higher for a father with less income and a working spouse. 3) The path analysis, which were performed to check the causality of the parenting stress dut to various variables, shows that the self-esteem and the parenting efficacy are significant factors directly effecting on the paternal parenting stress, and the job-satisfaction and marriage-satisfaction are significantly effecting on the parenting stress both directly and indirectly.
