The study selected the determinants of employment productivity using the Korea Labor and Income Panel Study data, and analyzed the effects of various factors using panel logistic regression, panel OLS model, and panel robust regression. The results were as follows. First, a more positive effect was shown when employees held a regular job, had a "high level of education", "joining the labor union" and "experiencing vocational training". Second, in the case of job security, having a "high level of education" and "joining the labor union" showed a more positive effect; further, job security was higher for employees who worked in a "big company" or were "married". Third, in the case of higher income productivity, higher values of "age", "academic ability" and "company size" had a more positive effect, whereas larger values of "education" and "health condition except job training" had a negative one. Fourth, in the case of job satisfaction, "female", "joining the labor union" and having a higher "income" or "job security" led to higher satisfaction and a better "health condition compared to an average person". Further, a higher "overall life satisfaction" and "economic level" led to lower job satisfaction. The analysis of the determinants of employment productivity of transportation business and seeking for improvement plan is expected to improve the employment productivity in the transportation business.

  • This paper discussed motivation, some theories of motivation and motivation of library personnel. The most important aspect of any organization is its workforce. Motivation arouses, energizes, influences and sustains behaviour and performance of employees. Motivating factors include extrinsic factors which pertain to the conditions under which a job is performed and intrinsic motivators which contribute to job satisfaction and subsequently increase productivity. Two levels of motivation were identified in the library: the need-factor motivation and the profession-related motivation. Need-factor motivation is well-pronounced in the lower cadre of library staff such as library assistants, clerical staff, and porters who set their priority on economic needs. The profession-related motivation occurs among professionally trained librarians whose motivation hinges self-fulfillment derived from professional growth and development. Other motivating factor in the library is job design which includes job rotation, job enlargement, and job enrichment. Job design specifies the contents or methods of any job in such a way that various requirements of a job can be effectively satisfied. Adequate motivation of library employees lies with the managers because they generally control work distribution, freedom and autonomy, work challenge Remove, staff development and training, and advancement opportunities. The managers are urged to create enabling environment to ensure improved commitment, satisfaction, and productivity of employees in the library.

  • In apartment building with column structure, reinforcing bar of the column is constructed mainly using gas pressure welding job. Therefore, gas pressure welding job in very critical process is construction apartment building with column structure. The purpose of this study is to analyze productivity of gas pressure welding work in column structure apartment using Web-CYCLONE. In this study, a CYCLONE model was developed for the productivity analysis of gas pressure welding work. Through this model, the optimal combination of the resources was obtained. This study will be utilized in the future as a useful tool of productivity analysis and the determination of an optimal combination of resources for gas pressure welding in apartment with column structure.

  • The goal of this study is to analyze an effect of productivity elevation. For the goal, the various methods of the productivity elevation were suggested and the system improvements were conducted. The S company was established in Ban-Wol Industrial Complex, Ansan-City, Kyonggi-Do on 2007. The company was hiring 22 employees. The main manufactures were heavy duty equipment parts and the amount of sale was two billion won on 2008. Problems which the company faced were ambiguous production target management and materials loss. To solve the problems, NCT work improvement and automatic welding were induced. There were steel saving of 3,780,000won/month and man-hour saving of 144,000won/month by redesign of the steel sheet for the NCT steel job. Also, changing from handwork to automatic welding, the man-hour saving for the welding job was 320M/H and saving of 4,225,600won/month. The others of systematic improvement for productivity elevation were usage of jig and daily equipment checklist.

  • Despite the growing interest in technostress phenomenon of employees in organizations, few guidelines exist about how mangers can effectively control their technostress. Accordingly, scholars should pay greater attention to how firms can successfully manage employees' technostress. This study conceptually developed and tested a research model for understanding the influence of technostress on psychological and behavioral strains. In addition, we tested technical support provision as a moderator. We obtained 107 samples through a survey questionnaire, and data were analyzed based on structural equation modeling (SEM). As a result, it was empirically demonstrated technostress decreases job satisfaction and individual productivity. We also found that technical support provision have moderating effects on the relationship of technostress and job satisfaction/individual productivity.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the levels of customer orientation in nurses whose work experience was between 1 and 5 years and to examine factors associated with customer orientation and nursing productivity. Methods: For this descriptive correlational study, nurses (N=164) were recruited from a University Hospital in B city, from November 1 to 23, 2012. Questionnaires included measures of customer orientation, nursing productivity, organizational commitment, job stress, and turnover intention. Data were analysed with the SPSS/WIN 18.0 program using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: The mean age of participants was 25 years, 96% were single, and 54.9% had a bachelor degree. Organizational commitment (${\beta}$=.387) and job stress (${\beta}$=.280) significantly explained the variance in customer orientation ($R^2$=15.8). Customer orientation (${\beta}$=.479), education level (${\beta}$=.196), and turnover intention (${\beta}$=-.184) significantly explained the variance in nursing productivity ($R^2$=35.3). Customer orientation was the most important factor in explaining the variance in the nursing productivity. Conclusion: This study highlighted the relationship between customer orientation and nursing productivity. Improving the customer orientation could result in increasing nursing productivity. Future managerial intervention to improve customer orientation is warranted.

Thus, as a part of this activity, this study was conducted to evaluate job flow improvement that was already performed and the results of that process at the dietetic department of a university hospital, focusing on improving management. Method : On February 15 of 1998. the dietetic department formed a job flow-improvement to decide on the priority of job flow improvement, and prepared specific action strategies and schedule of the priority: after a 5 month process period, job improvement achieved on June 15. 1998. Also, economic achievement of the task was evaluated through labor productivity analysis and cost-benefit analysis. Results : The patient food service system which was managed decentralized at the present hospital was centralized, some steps of the food service process were integrated, and quality of patient food was improved. Also, as a solution of the problems expected when conducting job flow improvement was made on food service equipments and utensils. The result of evaluating the job flow improvement that labor productivity improved by 18.2% compared to before the improvement and the result of the analysis of cost-benefit showed that Benefit-Cost (B/C) ratio was 2.22. showing financial merit on the investment. Conclusions : Continuous Quality Improvement Activity needs to be initiated and conducted in the future in various areas of hospital foodservice system in order to actively adopt to ever changing hospital management environment. In order to achieve this goal, many researches and more efforts need to be put in by people in charge of hospital food service management, and interests and support are needed from hospital policy makers.
