  • Objectives : In the traditional oriental medicine, efforts to utilize the knowledge system so called Ontology have been achieved for systemic researches and efficient propagation of knowledge on oriental medicine. So far, in Korea, studies on drug ontology, pathological ontology, Cold Damage ontology and diagnostic ontology had been implemented, however, any development of ontology in the field of Acupuncture &, Moxibustion has not been achieved. Methods : We used Microsoft Access to collect terms in ZhenJiuJiaYiJing. The terms are related to human body area and structure. And then we built relationship of 'part of' and 'criterion of acupuncture point location' between the terms. Result & Conclusions : The terms used to explain acupuncture points in order to describe the position of acupuncture point name in ZhenJiuJiaYiJing were 8 words concerning different name of acupuncture point(穴名) 109, body part name(人體部位名稱) 150, meridian(經脈) 6 and structure(構造物).

  • A mouse homozygous for the spontaneous mutation uncovered (Uncv) has a hairless phenotype. A 309-bp non-frameshift deletion mutation in the N-terminal cytoplasmic domain of iRhom2 was identified in Uncv mice ($iRhom2^{Uncv}$) using target region sequencing. The detailed molecular basis for how the iRhom2 mutation causes the hairless phenotype observed in the homozygous $iRhom2^{Uncv}$ mouse remains unknown. To identify differentially expressed proteins in the skin of wild-type and homozygous $iRhom2^{Uncv}$ littermates at postnatal day 5, proteomic approaches, including two-dimensional gel electrophoresis and mass spectrometry were used. Twelve proteins were differentially expressed in the skin in a comparison between wild-type and homozygous $iRhom2^{Uncv}$ mice. A selection of the proteomic results were tested and verified using qRT-PCR, western blot and immunohistochemistry. These data indicate that differentially expressed proteins, especially KRT73, MEMO1 and Coro-1, might participate in the mechanism by which iRhom2 regulates the development of murine skin.

Methods : We investigated the documents recorded in Yin Yang Shi Yi Mai Jiu Jing, Zu Bi Shi Yi Mai Jiu Jing and Miraculous Pivot to compare of the character of meridian names. Results : In the naming of meridians, three yin and three yang were accepted earlier than Viscera and Bowels. Three yin and three yang play important role in relation with division of a human body. Conclusions : It is necessary to focus on the importance of Yin-yang theory in meridian system.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to compare Sa-Am's Ohaeng-acupuncture(舍巖五行鍼法) with Linqi-aupuncture(六氣鍼法)-the transforms of Sa-Am's Ohaeng-acupuncture. Methods : Zheng Ge(正格), Sheng(勝格), Han Ge(寒格), Re Ge(熱格) of Sa-Am's Ohaeng-acupuncture compared with Liuqi-acupuncture(六氣鍼法)-therapy form invigoration and purgation of five zang-fu's wind. heat, dapness, dryness and cold(風熱濕燥寒). Results: 1. Liuqi-acupuncture used five-su points(五兪穴) and Zi-Ta Jing Bu Xie(自他經補瀉). 2. Liuqi-acupuncture is reinforced or reduced itself-point of itself-meridian(自經自穴) in therapy for invigoration and purgation. 3. Liuqi-acupuncture is therapy for invigoration and purgation of five zang-fu's wind, hear, dampness, dryness and cold(風熱濕燥寒). 4. Zheng Ge is similar to Bu-fa, Sheng Ge is similar to Xie-fa in Qu-xue of Ta-jing. The Qu-xue of interrestraining relations is the same, but that of interdependent relation is the difference in Qu-xure of Zi-jing. 5. Han Ge and Re Ge is similar to Re Bu Xie fa in Qu-xue fo Zi-jing but is different to in Ta-zing. For example, Han Ge is Shaofu(Bu), Yingu(Xie) but Re Ge is Shaofu(Xie), Yingu(Bu).

Kidney energy becomes the marrow by warm caring function of Meong-mun(命門) and the marrow becomes brain by ascending and gathering between a hole Back-hoi(百會) and a hole pung-ji(風池) 2. Brain is a sea of the marrow that five vital organs are eraporated togather. 3. In Nei-jing(內經), there is a explanation the connectin between brain and mind, thanking by drawing in a concept of head. 4. Brain regulrates physical excercise. 5. There is a direct connection between brain and biosis. 6. Brain achieves function of sense, relating with the five sensory organs. 7. Brain controls a change of emotion. 8. Methods : We find the harmonization(和) means harmony and neutral in traditional Chinese culture, including the harmony of society, the harmony of the mind and the body, and so on. Results : Huang Di Nei Jing(黃帝內經) emphasized the health status is moderate, the disease state is unbalance, preserving our health should keep the yin-yang equilibrium, treating disease should reestablish the equilibrium status, which establish the foundation of the theory of Harmonization Method(和法). Shanghan Zabing Lun(傷寒雜病論) created the methods of settlement and harmony, which is a precedent for the wide application of Harmonization Method(和法) for future generations, including to reconcile the interior-exterior and yin-yang, to harmony the ying-wei and qi-blood, to reconcile the activities of qi of internal organs. Methods: Participants consisted of 145 patients with generalized anxiety disorder who were diagnosed by the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV Axis I Disorders. Participants were tested twice within one week. Results: The test-retest reliability of the Instrument of Pattern Identification for Jing Ji and Zheng Chong was examined in 145 patients and it was calculated as 0.3919. Internal Reliability of each part was calculated as 0.320~0.502. Reliability and concordance rate of symptoms are presented in the table. Frequency of symptoms and correlation between weight and frequency are also presented in the table. Conclusions: Based on these results, we have modified the Instrument of Pattern Identification for Jing Ji and Zheng Chong.

  • Objectives : This study is to reveal the origin of Mingtangyangfutu in "YiXueRenMen". Methods : This study compares and analyzes it with MingTang diagrams in reference books of "YiXueRenMen", MingTang diagrams and diagrams of bronze statues for acu-moxibustion in those days. Results : The origins of Mingtangyangfutu cannot be found in the citations. The argument that it is copied and simplified from MingTang diagrams in "JinLanXunJing(金蘭循經)" lacks its grounds. As MingTang diagrams in "TongRenShuXueZhengJiuTuJing" and "ZhenJiuJuYing" have less information than it, they were nothing more than references when it drew. Apparel of man, the first acupoint, the last acupoint and orders of acupoints of their meridians in it are different from ones in MingTang diagrams and diagrams of bronze statues for acu-moxibustion. Conclusions : Mingtangyangfutu is not a copied and simplified version of MingTang diagrams in "JinLanXunJing", but is one to add new information for MingTang diagrams in "TongRenShuXueZhengJiuTuJing", "ZhenJiuJuYing", or has a separate rationale (Gajeongdongin(嘉靖銅人) related to at the time.
