Volatile flavor components of Jindalrae flower(Korean azalea flower, Rhododendron mucronulatum Turczaninow) (진달래꽃의 휘발성 성분에 관한 연구)

  • The whole volatile flavor concentrate obtained from Jindalrae flower was separated into hydrocarbon and oxygen-containing compound(OCC) fractions, and the OCC-fraction was further separated by column chromatography into nine sub-fractions, respectively. These fractions were analyzed by gas chromatography and combined gas chromatography/mass spectroscopy. One hundred and sixty-two components, including 61 hydrocarbons, 18 aldehydes, 18 esters, 41 alcohols, 3 ketones, 4 oxides, 8 acids, 6 phenols and 3 miscellaneous components, were identified.

Antioxidative Activity of Flavonoids Isolated from Jindalrae Flowers (Rhododendron mucronulatum Turcz.) (진달래꽃으로부터 분리된 플라보노이드 화합물의 항산화성에 관한 연구)

  • Seven antioxidative flavonoids were isolated from Jindalrae flowers (Rhododendron mnonulatum Turcz.), an edible plant in Korea. These compounds were identified as afzelin, ampelopsin, catechin, myricetin, myricitrin, quercetin and quercitrin on the basis of IR, UV, FAB-MS, $^1H\;NMR,\;and\;^{13}C\;NMR$ data. These compounds were consisted of two flavonols, three flavonol glycosides, a flavane, and a dihydroflavonol. The flavonol glycosides (14.4 g) present in th ethyl ether and ethyl acetate fractions comprised up to 82% of their total flavonoid amount (17.6 g) finally recovered by means of polyamide C-200 column chromatography, preparative TLC, recrystallization, and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography. The antioxidant activities were measured in an ethanol solution of linoleic acid in the presence of ferric thiocyanate. The antioxidant efficiency increased in the order of afzrlin<$\alpha-tocopherol$

  • Six phenolic acids were isolated from Jindalrae flowers (Rhododendron mucronulatum Turcz.), an edible plant in Korea. These compounds were identified as chlorogenic acid, 3,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid, 4,5-O-dicaffeoylquinic acid, caffeic acid, ferulic acid, and p-coumaric acid on the basis of IR, UV, $^{1}H$ and $^{13}C$ NMR, FAB-MS, ES-MS and/or El-MS data. Extraction Conditions for Rhododendron mucronulatum Pollen (추출조건에 따른 진달래 화분의 이화학적 특성)

  • The physiochemical properties of Rhododendron mucronulatum pollens were examined after the use of various extraction conditions. The levels of phenolic compounds and electron donating abilities (DPPH) were better after 80% (v/v) ethanol extraction than after water extraction. The content of phenolic compounds and the DPPH were high when the solvent ratio was 20X. The content of phenolic compounds was highest at $45^{\circ}C$ (347.60 mg/100 g). The DPPH was highest, at 67.93%, when extraction was performed at $25^{\circ}C$. An extraction time of 6 hr yielded the highest content of phenolic compounds (312.63 mg/100 g). The DPPH did not vary with extraction time. Both the levels of phenolic compounds and DPPH values rose when extractions were performed twice. In summary, a solvent ratio of 20X, an extraction temperature of $25-45^{\circ}C$, double extraction and an extraction time of 6 hare optimal for extraction, with maximal DPPH and phenolic content, of Jindalrae pollens.

  • After the war, the circle literature movement took place in Japan around the 1950s. The subjects of the national movement, the Korean-Japanese, have produced and expanded their political rights and claims through circles and organs in conjunction with the literary movement. However, the results of analyzing the exchanges and conflicts between the political subjects of the Korean national movement and the literary circle movement as a concrete case to date are still insignificant. After liberation, the endless worries and confrontations to the post-colonialization of literary Koreans in Japan were analyzed as 'community with Republic of Korea and Japan', 'topic and creative language', and as 'conflict with Korean association in japan'. The process leading to dissolution was analyzed. The spirit of the era of Koreans in Japan in the 1950s identified in this paper is expected to suggest a new direction for the starting point of study of the humanities in Japan.
