Background : Tremor is a rhythmic, involuntary muscular contraction characterized by oscillations (to-and-fro movements) of a part of the body. Tremor is the common symptom clinically. Objectives : The purpose of this study is to show a case of patient with tremor improved by medication of Bok-jin-centered. Patients & Methods : The patient was 60-year-old woman who complained Cephalic and cheilo tremor. She was treated by oriental medicine with acupuncture, herb medication, physical therapy through the abdominal diagnosis, Bok-Jin. Results : The Cephalic and cheilo tremor was reduced after oriental medical therapy. Conclusion : After the treatment, tremor and other symptoms were improved. This result suggested that Bok-jin is the significant diagnosis and medication of Bok-jin-centered is recommanded.

Urticaria is a common disease and a well known reaction pattern of the skin characterized by erythema or wheal and edema, that is result of a local leakage of plasma from minute vessel into the connective tissue of the dermis. The urticaria that lasts for more than six of eight weeks, is categorized as chronic urticaria. In Oriental medicine, urticaria is classified as Yeun-jin(慇疹) and similar to Poong-yeun-jin(風慇疹), Poong-so-yeun-jin(風瘙慇疹), Poong-yum-leu, Poong-dan(風丹) and Poong-jin-geu(風疹塊). We report four improved cases of chronic urticaria that had lasted for more than eight weeks. We regarded their chronic urticaria as wind-heat(風熱) and prescribed Bangpungtongsungsan-gami(防風通聖散加味) and Seunggaltang-gami(升葛湯加味) to these patients. These patients showed improvement of chronic urticaria.

Wound healing and antibacterial effects of solcoseryl-micronomicin combination gel on an open wound were studied in mice. A simple model was designed for assessing the effects. Using the model, we compared the efficacy of a combined topical gel of solcoseryl and micronomicin with those gels of solcoseryl or micronomicin alone. From the results of our experiment, the wound healing effect of open wounds by treatment with the combination gel was significantly enhanced when compared with those by treatment with solcoseryl gel or micronomicin gel alone. And the antibacterial effect of the combination gel was higher than those of solcoseryl gel or micronomicin gel alone.

This study investigated the effect of InJinORyungSan on the nephrotoxicity in rat treated with cyclosporin A. Control group were injected with cyclosporin A alone. whereas test group were injected with cyclosporin A and InJinORyungSan extract. In the control group, blood urea nitrogen(BUN), serum creatinine(S-Cr) and renal lipid peroxidation(LPO) level were significantly increased, but renal superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity was significantly decreased. In the kidney of control group, the destruction of distal convoluted tubules(DCT) and proximal convoluted tubules(PCT) were observed in renal cortex, lymphocytes and fibroblast were appeared in the portion of DCT destruction. However, in the test group, BUN, S-Cr and renal LPO level were significantly decreased as compared with control group, on the other hand, renal SOD activity was significantly increased. In the kidney of test group, the destruction of DCT and PCT were repaired as compared with control group. These results demonstrated that InJinORyungSan. can be attributed to recovery from nephrotoxicity, We consider that activated SOD by InJinORyungSan suppress renal LPO or production of free radicals induced by cyclosporin A.

This study was carried out to investigate the effect of ethanolic extract Salicornia herbacea (SHEE) on melanogenesis and mechanism. The SHEE on ${\alpha}$-melanocyte stimulating hormone (${\alpha}$-MSH) induces melanogenesis in B16F10 melanoma cells. The effect of SHEE remarkably decreased protein expression of tyrosinase and tyrosinase relate protein (TRP)-2 increased extracellular signal related kinase (ERK) on ${\alpha}$-MSH 100 nM induced melanogenesis on B16F10 melanoma cells at dose-dependent manner. It has been reported that the activation of ERK reduce melanin synthesis by down-regulating micro-phthalmia-associated transcription fator (MITF). These results sugggest that possibility of extracted korean medicinal herbs as a functional ingredient for whitening cosmetic formula.

Chinese American Writer, Ha Jin has been writing exclusively about the life in his native Communist China. His stories and poems are almost all about the Chinese people so far. In addition, the distinctive Chinese flavour and the inexorably repressive image of China in his works present an 'Other' to the American culture. Such kind of Chineseness can also be found in Ha Jin's works and his career as a writer. The continued demand for knowledge of China, which is created by China's increasingly important role in the globalized economy, sustains the country's position as an Other for America. In his early four novels, Ha Jin portrays a totally repressive image of Communist China, an image of which functions perfectly as a form of otherness for his American readers. In Ha Jin's portrayal, the Chinese masses are subjected to the Communist authority through its bureaucracy and state-economy mechanism, as well as through the godlike image of Mao Zedong. They are to follow the Communist conscience and subscribe to unity-in-difference. Deviation from the one-party rule is intolerable. In each of the novels, Ha Jin presents a specific system of repression. In In the Pond, confrontation against Party authority is contained by a process of complicity. In Waiting, the Party's power is upheld through a system of surveillance in which people act as agents, resulting in a web of power which paralyses love. The Crazed illustrates a play of power by Party officials which, against the backdrop of the Tiananmen Square Massacre, is full of craze itself, driving people either out of sanity or out of the country. War Trash exposes the Communist power's repression to the extreme by presenting a case of dishonour in those whose life is debased as trash by the Party. The repressive image of China produced in these stories, which span over half a century, makes Ha Jin's China a perfect Other for the West. To sum up, Ha Jin's novels construct a repressive image of China. In his novels, Ha Jin exposes the working of repression in particular systems. Through these systems, he problematizes the notion of personal autonomy for Chinese people and proposes for his western/American readers a solution which eventually turns into a re-presentation of American hegemony.

Sometimes, literary therapy is to create an abscission layer at the mind and remove the signifier of love, by the abscission layer. The purpose of this study is to reveal the mechanism of literary therapy by mutation in human-created sentences and to activate literary therapy. In Gosijo, the abscission layer of Seo Gyeongdok's mind is present in the layer of the "falling leaf" of the his Sijo's last sentence, and the abscission layer of Hwang Jin-yi's mind exists in the layer of the "falling leaf" of the her Sijo's last sentence. The "falling leaf" created by the abscission layer of Seo Gyeongdok's sentence acts as an action potential to the nervous system of Hwang Jin-yi. In Hwang Jin-yi's Sijo, the abscission layer is also activated, forming a "leaf". Hwang Jin-yi's Sijo constructs a new sensory layer that is extended and mutated more than the meaning of space between lines of Seo Gyeongdok's Sijo. In her Sijo, Hwang Jin-yi twists and twists Seo Gyeongdok's sentences to squeeze the sound. She accepts the Seo Gyeongdok's sentences and twists in the first sentence and twists out of the second sentence once more to produce the mutation in the last sentence. As a result of her sentence twist, Seo Kyung-duk's visual sense of "falling leaf" is mutated into a "falling leaf's sound" of auditory sense. This mutation process works as a healing mechanism in the human body. If this study will continue in the future, it will be possible to activate literary therapy by Sijo.

The characteristics of colored rice bread using the extruded HeugJinJu rice were studied to establish the optimum formula for the formation of colored rice bread, giving good loaf volume and sensory quality. The expansion ratio and bulk density were decreased, the break strength was increased as the moisture content was increased at extrusion. The gelatinization of extruded HeugJinJu rice was appropriate at 20% of moisture content. The volume of colored rice bread was decreased as the quantity of adding extruded HeugJinJu rice was increased. The weight and hardness of colored rice bread were not significantly different among the groups. The result of measurement of color difference, L value (lightness) was decreased, a value (redness) was increased and b value (yellowness) was decreased as the quantity of adding extruded HeugJinJu rice was increased. As the results of sensory evaluation, color, taste, texture and overall acceptance of colored rice bread were higher than the control group. The best quality giving color, taste, texture, total preference were observed when the extruded HeugJinJu rice was added at l0%.
