잉크젯 프린팅에서 해상력에 관한 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 연구 (A Study on the Simulation of the Resolution for Ink-Jet Printing)

  • Ink-jet is part of the non impact printing that shooting the ink drop from the nozzle to paper. It is very silence and express good color. There are two types of printing that continuous and drop on demand. But drop on demand process is becoming the mainstream. these days, LCD, PDP is passed more than semiconductor industry. And we expect organic EL, FED as a next display. But product equipment, main component and technology have a gap between an advanced country and us nevertheless physical development. Expecially, previous process part is depended on imports. Ink-jet printing technology that there isn't complicated photo lithography process is attracted, so ink-jet printing resolution is more embossed. But there were not many of ink-jet resolution thesis but ink-jet head or nozzle. Because, to out of the ink from the nozzle is unseeable and hard to experiment. Therefore this thesis was experimented and simulated how can ink-jet printer improved resolution by flow-3d simulation package program.

파이프유동장에 분사되는 제트의 유동특성 연구 (Flow characteristics of a cross jet issued in the fully developed pipe flow)

  • In the fully developed pipe flow, when jet is injected in cross to the flow there are complex transition flows caused by interaction of the cross flow and jet. These interactions are studied by means of the flow visualization methods and frequency analysis using a hot-wire anemometer. The velocity range of cross flow of the pipe is 0.3 m/s ~ 1.2 m/s and the corresponding Reynolds number, R$\sub$p/, based on the pipe diameter is 2.25 * 10$\^$3/ ~ 9.02 * 10$\^$3/. The velocity ratio (R), jet velocity/cross flow velocity, is chosen from 2 to 10. A circular cylinder is placed in the pipe instead of jet to observe the vortex shedding from the solid body. To compare the jet and circular cylinder flow, the vortical structure is analyzed in both cases and the structure of vortices and the origin of its formation are investigated, especially. The vortex shedding of the dominant coherent structure is compared between the jet flow and the circular cylinder flow. In the case of the jet flow, the Strouhal numbers are different depending on the existence of the upright vortex as well as the velocity ratio (R).

  • A present study is the flow characteristics of impinging jet by PIV measurement and numerical analysis. The flow characteristics of impinging jet flow are affected greatly by nozz1e inlet velocity An circular sharp edged nozzle type($45^{\circ}$ ) was used to achieve uniform mean velocity at the nozz1e inlet, and its diameter is 10 mm(d). Therefore, the flow characteristics on the impinging jet can be changed largely by the control of main flow In this parent study, we investigate the effects of inlet velocity, its variable is nozzle inlet Reynolds numbers (Re=1500, 3000, 4500, 6000 and 7500)

Water jet 사용시의 구강청결 효과에 관한 임상적 조사연구 (A Clinical Study on Effect of Mouth Cleaning by Use of Water jet)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a guide for selection of oral hygiene devices for nations and establishing valid indication of recently popularized water jet. The author has divided 36 persons into general, orthodontic, periodontal patients according to their oral hygiene state, and then evaluated the degree or decrease in plaque indices and gingival bleeding indices. The obtained results were as follows. 1. When both manual toothbrush and water jet were used together by three kind of patients, significant decreases in plaque index were observed in all patients, after 4 weeks compared with ordinary toothbrushing only(p<0.05). 2. When both oral hygiene devices were used together by three kind of patients, significant decreases in gingival bleeding index were observed in all patients after 4 weeks compared with ordinary toothbrushing only(p<0.05). 3. Singificant differences of the average gingival bleeding index & plaque index among three kind of patients were observed(p<0.05). 4. Therefore, it is concluded that for effective oral hygiene care. water jet can be recommendable to general patients, especially to orthodontic or periodontal patients.

소형선박용 200마력급 Water Jet의 유동특성에 관한 수치해석 (A Numerical Analysis on Flow Characteristic of 200HP Grade Water Jet for Small Ship)

  • Water jet propulsion system has low efficiency than screw propeller at low speed, but has been applied in high speed ship due to its better cavitation performance and high rotation capacity. In this study, a numerical analysis was conduct to understand the flow in the propulsion system of 200HP grade water jet for small ship. As the result, it could be confirmed that total pressure and force of the flow was increased through the impeller and the straight-ability of discharging flow to outlet was improved by guide vane. Also, the reliability of numerical analysis was secured by comparing peripheral velocity calculated by design values with that calculated by numerical analysis.

동축이중원관 분류에 있어서의 유동 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Flow Characteristics in Double Coaxial Pipe Jets)

  • The present study is aiming at improving the performance of main nozzle of an air jet loom with a modified reed and auxiliary nozzles. The double coaxial pipe jets consisting of a central air jet and an annular air jet have been experimentally investigated. The duter jet has a potential core and a constant velocity. The inner jet through an inner long pipe is induced by the subatmospheric pressure near the inner nozzle edge, and the jet velocity of an inner pipe is always lower than that of a outer pipe. The static pressures of the main nozzle over a wide range of the nozzle tank pressure were measured, and the nozzle velocity and Mach numbers were analytically calculated. Experiment81 results indicate that the critical condition of Mach number of unity to occur at the two positions in a main nozzle; one of them is the needle tip and the other is the acceleration tube exit An increase in the tank pressure causes the critical throat condition to occur at the two positions above. The velocity of acceleration-tube exit is maximum at the critical length L* and flow patter in acceleration-tube over critical lengh remains unstable.

  • Information on temporal evolution of whole velocity fields is essential for physical understanding of a complicated turbulent flow and was obtainable using dynamic PIV because of advances of high-speed imaging technique, laser and electronics. A dynamic PIV systme consists of a high-speed CMOS camera having $1K\times1K$ pixels resolution at 1 KHz and a high-repetition Nd:Yag pulse laser. In order to validate its performance, the dynamic PIV system was applied to a turbulent jet whose Reynolds number is about 3000. The particle images of $1024\times512$ pixels were captured at a sampling rate of 4 KHz. The dynamic PIV system measured successfully the temporal evolution of instantaneous velocity fields of the turbulent jet, from which spectral analysis of turbulent structure was also feasible.

  • Transition of momentum-controlling hydrogen jet to buoyant jet is experimentally investigated in order to develop a prediction model for the moving trajectory of hydrogen leaked from hydrogen devices. In the experiments, room-temperature helium, that has a similar density to the hydrogen leaked from high pressure tank, is horizontally injected through a 4mm tube and its moving trajectory is visualized by the shadowgraph method. The moving trajectories are found to be parabolic, thereby exhibiting increasing influence of the buoyancy. In analyzing the experimental results, the vertical movement is assumed to be controlled by the buoyancy while the horizontal movement is controlled by the air entrainment caused by the initial momentum. The resealing based on this assumption yields a single curve fitting to the all experimental results.

Identification Of Jet Components Of CTA 102 On Milliarcsecond Scales Using The iMOGABA Program

  • CTA 102, one of gamma-ray bright active galactic nuclei (AGN) has been observed with Korean very long baseline interferometry (VLBI) network (KVN) during the period of 2012 December-2018 May as part of interferometric Monitoring Of Gamma-ray Bright AGN (iMOGABA). Multi-frequency VLBI observations enable us to compare the milliarcsecond(mas)-scale iMOGABA images of relativistic jets with those from the Monitoring Of Jets in AGN with Very long baseline array (VLBA) Experiments (MOJAVE) and the VLBA-Boston University(BU)-BLAZAR programs which use VLBA with its angular resolutions of 0.2-1.3 mas. In spite of the relative larger beam sizes of KVN (1-10 mas), we are able to identify jet components of CTA 102 using the KVN multi-frequency VLBI observations with those resolved with VLBA. Considering an instrumental beam blending effect on the jet component identification, we were able to obtain a blending shift of the core position based on a convolution analysis using the VLBA data. When we apply the core position shift to the KVN images of CTA 102, we find that the identified jet components of CTA 102 from the KVN observations are well matched with those from the VLBA observations. Based on the results of the analysis, we may be able to study the jet kinematics and its correlation with gamma-ray flare activity.

3-화학종 대체 혼합물을 이용한 케로신의 열역학적·전달 상태량 예측 (Estimation of Thermodynamic/Transport Properties of Kerosene using a 3-Species Surrogate Mixture)

  • 한국형발사체(KSLV-II) 각 단 엔진의 연료로 사용되는 케로신(Jet A-1)은 추력실 재생냉각 및 연료 막냉각 과정에서 냉각유체로도 기능하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 Jet A-1의 열물리적 특성을 재현하기 위한 대체 혼합물 모델을 선정하고, SUPERTRAPP(NIST SRD4)을 이용하여 초임계압 영역을 포함하는 고압 영역에서 모델 연료의 열역학적 전달 상태량을 예측하였다. 측정값과의 비교 결과 액체로켓 엔진 추력실의 복합 열전달 해석 수행 시 Jet A-1 상태량을 추출하기 위한 데이터베이스로 활용 가능한 것으로 판단되며, 향후 연소 시험 결과와의 비교를 통하여 케로신 대체 모델의 상태량 정보를 이용한 재생냉각 추력실의 연소 냉각 성능 통합 해석 결과를 지속적으로 검증해 나갈 계획이다.
