Characteristic of ferroelectric properties of $(Bi,Ce)_4Ti_3O_{12}$ thin films deposited by pulsed laser deposition (Pulsed laser deposition 방법으로 증착된 $(Bi,Ce)_4Ti_3O_{12}$ 박막의 강유전 특성)

  • Bismuth layered structure, Cerium-substituted $Bi_4Ti_3O_{12}$ ($(Bi,Ce)_4Ti_3O_{12}$) thin films were prepared on the $Pt/TiO_2/SiO_2/Si$ substrates by the pulsed laser deposition method. We investigated the Ce-subsitituted effect on the grain orientation and ferroelectric properties. $Ce^{3+}$ ion substitution for $Bi^{3+}$ ion in perovskite layers of BTO decreased the deeree of c-axis orientation and increased the remanent polariation (2Pr). The structure and morphology of the films were characterized using X-ray diffraction and atomic force microscopy. The $(Bi,Ce)_4Ti_3O_{12}$ (BCT) thin films, which were annealed $700^{\circ}C\;and\;800^{\circ}C$ for 10min and 30min, showed a perovskite phase and dense microstructure. As the thickness of the BCT film was decresed that the ferroelectric properties of the BCT thin films were good.

Properties and Structures of Bi2O3-B2O3-ZnO Glasses for Application in Plasma Display Panels Rib (PDP Rib용 Bi2O3-B2O3-ZnO계 유리의 물성과 구조)

  • This study, compared with data of PbO-base glass system is a part of new glass composition design with Bi-base composition for PDP Rib. As $Bi_2O_3-B_2O_3-ZnO$ glass composition including Bi, which have similar density value and work facility to PbO, properties of softening point, thermal expansion coefficient, chemical durability, dielectric constant, and structural changing by XPS were investigated. $Bi_2O_3-B_2O_3-ZnO$ glass system, added 50∼80 wt% $Bi_2O_3$ widely, were presented 400∼480$^{\circ}C$ softening temperature, $68{\sim}72{\times}10^{-7}/^{\circ}C$ thermal expansion coefficient and 13∼25 dielectric constant. These results were showed similar physical properties with Pb-base glass system of same composition content, application possibility as starting composition of rib material was identified through micro-control of components and physical properties. The bonding energy of $O_{1s}$ as the $Bi_2O_3$ content decreasing was increased and full width at half-maximum (FWHM) was decreased, which is caused by non-bridging oxygen increasing.

  • A single-phase bi-directional inverter with a diode bridge-type resonant circuit to implement ZVT(Zero Voltage Transition) switching is proposed. It is shown that the polarized ramptime current control algorithm, a method that belongs to the family of ZACE(Zero Average Current Error) methods, is a suitable technique to integrate with a typical single-phase ZVT inverter. The proposed current control algorithm is analyzed to design the circuit with auxiliary switch which can operate with ZVT for the main power switch. The simulation results would be shown to verify the proposed current algorithm to turn the main power switch on with ZVT and to operate the inverter bi-directionally

  • Highly efficient red and green phosphorescent devices comprising a simple bilayer structure are reported. The driving voltage to reach $1000\;cd/m^2$ is 4.5 V in $Bebq_2:\;Ir(piq)_3$ red phosphorescent device. Current and power efficiency values of 9.66 cd/A and 6.90 lm/W in this bi-layered simple structure PHOLEDs are obtained, respectively. While in $Bepp_2:Ir(ppy)_3$ green phosphorescent device, the operating voltage value of 3.3V and current and power efficiencies of 37.89 cd/A and 35.02 lm/W to obtain a luminance of $1000\;cd/m^2$ are noticed, respectively.

  • This report covers an effective fabrication method of graphene nanoribbon for top-gated field effect transistors (FETs) utilizing electron beam lithography with a bi-layer resists (XR-1541/poly methtyl methacrylate) process. To improve the variation of the gating properties of FETs, the residues of an e beam resist on the graphene channel are successfully taken off through the combination of reactive ion etching and a lift-off process for the XR-1541 bi-layer. In order to identify the presence of graphene structures, atomic force microscopy measurement and Raman spectrum analysis are performed. We believe that the lift-off process with bi-layer resists could be a good solution to increase gate dielectric properties toward the high quality of graphene FETs.

  • The a-axis and c-axis prefer oriented SBT thin films could be deposited on Pt(111)/Ti/$SiO_2$$650^{\circ}C$). The c-axis preferred orientation of SBT film can be obtained by Sr deficiency and high compressive stress. However, the a-axis-oriented grains can be formed under stoichiometric Sr content and nearly stress-free state.

Low Temperature Processing of $SrBi_2Ta_2O_9$ Thin Films

  • $SrBi_2Ta_2O_9$ thin films were deposited at room temperature on the usual (111) oriented Pt bottom electrodes using r.f. magnetron sputtering, and then post-annealed at 650-$800^{\circ}C$ for 30min in oxygen flow. Low temperature processing which shows the preferred oriented SBT thin films was obtained by controlling the sputtering pressure and/or Sr content in target. The orientation and grain growth behavior of SBT thin films were dependent on Sr contents in films. With increasing the excess Bi content up to 50% in SBT thin films, it was possible to lower the onset temperature of grain growth. The c-axis preferred oriented SBT thin films were well-grown under the condition of low post-annealing($650^{\circ}C$) by lowering post-annealing pressure. After $10^{11}$ switching cycles, no polarization degradation was observed in both preferred oriented SBT capacitors.

  • To establish a new creative economy, the worldwide efforts have been made to wriggle out the old economic paradigm after the financial crisis of 2008. When it comes to the limitation of the viability. the start up companies have a high risk of failure. Therefore business incubator (BI) should carry out the role to improve their viability. As for the maximization of the effect on the business incubating services as move in companies, it is important for BI to increase the level of business incubating services by the systemic and scientific measurement. This study showed that the quality of the BI center services was measured by Kano analysis and the previous research as follows. First, BI quality attribute by Timko's customer satisfaction came out into the attractive qualities on the 14 items that amount to the 70% of 20 business incubating services items. It is desirable to perform the strategy for the satisfaction. Secondly, basic business incubating services were interpreted as the one-dimensional quality like incubating spaces, parking facilities, security facilities, industry technology development funds, and incubating managers. Finally, training and educational service was recognized as indifferent quality. Futhermore, the improvement and the limitation of this study as well as the interpretation of analysis results are also provided.

  • The machinability properties of P/M 2011 AI alloys extruded rapidly solidified by rotating disc atomization were investigated in this study. The Pb-Bi particles were very uniformly and finely dispersed in the P/M 2011 AI alloys extruded rapidly solidified. According to the increase of cutting speed, the short discontinuous chips were produceed and continuous chips were formed from the lower feed values of O.lmm/rev. The surface roughness is depend on the feed values, not cutting depth and cutting speed. The short discontinuous chips were formed due to dispersed $AI_20_3$ particles and Pb- Bi inclusion.

  • Recently rise in oil prices feet the burden on not only diesel vehicle driver but also LPG vehicle driver, and get interested in various way to reduce fuel costs. In this study discuss on exhaust emissions characteristics on driving cycle mode and ignition advance condition change of CNG/LPLI Bi-Fuel vehicle. Experimental test was performed by changing the conditions of fuel (LPG/CNG), spark advance (Base, $10^{\circ}CA$, $15^{\circ}CA$), and driving mode (FTP-75, HWFET, and NEDC). In case of CO emission, in the order of CNG Base, CNG S/A10, S/A15 condition are average reduced -21%, -35%, -29% respectively compared to LPG fuel. The active emission reduction from the initial engine start, spark retard is likely to be beneficial in catalyst warm-up and improve combustion stability rather than spark advance.
