According to the changing environment of modern society, a resident of the symbols reflects the growing need for housing has risen. Recently the participation of women in Korea, increased divorce rates, diversification of types of jobs, personal life, due to the typically family-oriented values is not the type of atypical forms of various types of households (a person households, newlyweds, Late Marriage Couples, single parent households, cohabiting, single core, including a disclaimer) is formed, and this trend for the social composition of the new housing environment is required. In this study, South Korea, Japan, the two countries central to the values of personal life for the area be developed by the individual but in reality did not meet the residential space in the current "environmental action research" living life based on the construction of a personal area tend to be aware of. Central values of private life, which amplified the possibility of increased prices as the difficulties in living life the most "private area" Building "area of the discrepancies" and controlled through the building of the reason for the tendency of humans in the future by identifying Oriented for the formation of residential space is to provide basic information. In addition, changes in family patterns in Japan and South Korea ahead of the current family patterns by comparing the present and future of Korea is trying to think.
Until now, several comparative approaches were developed within the studies of Korean, Chinese, and Japanese traditional housings. In those studies, however, each space in the traditional houses was only treated in individual and fragmentary manners, and they lacked the interpretation of the topological attribute of each space within a holistic structure organized by unit spaces, and of the cultural-behavioral meaning of them within a holistic space-use pattern of the housing. The topological attribute and behavioral meaning can be analyzed and interpreted with the quantitative spatial analysis method such as Space Syntax. This study aims to analyze the traditional housings in Korea, China and Japan in the holistic aspect of spatial structure using Space Syntax, and to compare the analysis results with relating the structural attributes to the space-use pattern. In this study, the 'Banga' in Chosun era, the 'Siheyuan' in Ming-Ching era, and the 'Shoinzukuri' in Edo era were selected as the analysis subjects. The integration indices were calculated from the convex maps representing the subjects, and the common and different attributes of the three subjects were defined through comparative analyses.
'Sohawjang' is the first apartment house built in Busan the modern period, 1944. 'Sohawjang' needs to be apprised its value as an very important object of study with architectural and dwelling historic meaning because multi-family houses built in Japanese Rule Era that now exist in Korea are very rare. Thus, this study attempted to leave records to archive by conducting face to face interviews and surveying on 'Sohawjang' which is seriously in danger of extinction and its original form damage as the first step. Especially, around Korea's Liberation, this study tried to extract transformation characteristics of residential space and cultural differences appeared on differences of occupants having different nationality. Through these results, this study attempted to examine the era of apartment house and transformation characteristics and values of modern dwelling historic dimension according to changes of users appeared in Busan modern period. Through this study, it offers basic data about introduction and transition processes of an apartment house in Korea. It has an meaning of suggestion reference data for original form preservations or regenerations.
Behaviour of 7 horned Japanese Black Cattle (3-9 years old) kept in a $450m^2$ dry-lot under loose housing condition was observed in the daytime (0930-1730 h) during 3 consecutive days. Eating and lying behaviour of cattle and the positions of all animals when lying together were recorded at 10-min intervals. Agonistic encounters and social licking interactions in the herd were also recorded. The cattle established a social hierarchy which was near linear. An irregularity in the diurnal rhythm of lying behaviour was found on the 3rd day, which appeared to be caused by oestrus behaviour of a herdmate. Eating frequency showed greater variation among individuals than lying frequency, and the most dominant animal ate most frequently in the herd. The spatial pattern of the herd when lying indicated a relatively loose dispersion in the lot. Higher ranking cattle tended to lie down more frequently near the hay rack in the lot, so that lower ranking animals had more difficult access to feed. Cattle with more social licking interactions had a tendency to lie down near each other irrespective of proximity of social order, therefore it was suggested that social preference among particular individuals occurred in the herd.
This study analyzes the risk selection behavior of Japanese households. The study approaches the view of 'the hyperbolic discount' which is used in behavioral economics based on the rise in mortgage lending by low-income households in the late 2000s. The study focuses on how households risk preferences vary by income levels. The study analyzes the relationship of attitude of household interest rate risk using Binomial Logistic and Heckman two-step estimation method assuming that there are only two types of Adjustable-Rate Mortgage and Fixed-Rate Mortgage. As a result of the empirical analysis, low-income households annual income tend to have a higher proportion of housing debt as same as higher interest rate risk preferences households in proportion to income growth and interest rate risk preferences. Those results indicate that there is possibility of a hyperbolic discount on low-income households in Japan, and support the hypothesis that low-income households are relatively higher household debt ratio because of high utility due to home purchase in the near future (short-term).
Adolf Loos and Hiroshi Hara are very well known for their distinctive method of spatial composition. Adolf Loos showed white silent outer facades from his strong aversion to the ornament, whereas dynamic and rich inner space by the principle called 'Raumplan' in his housing design. Hiroshi Hara, one of the most influential architects in modern Japanese architectural history, designed a series of controversial houses with radical design by his 'Yukotai Theory' and the thought of 'Reflection House'. Even they have no common in regional background or the period of their works, both similarly have shown their own focus on cladding surface as an important design language. From this point of view, this paper investigates the design method of those two architects focused on the similar points and also the differences of their approaches to cladding in housing design. In conclusion, in case of Adolf Loos, the cladding is a tool to create completely safe and pure inner space by separating from the outside. On the other hand, the cladding of Hiroshi Hara has the meaning of social ideology that individuals must follow the principles of a dominant structure, which is the reason why the cladding should be removed. However there exists something in common also. They radically denied the outer circumstances and had a firm belief that the requests from the inside living space were the more influential factors.
The aim of this study is to understand the modernization process of interior spaces in the Korean housing, focused not only on the architectural aspects, but also on the sociological, anthropological and feministic aspects of housing. The development of korean housing from the period of traditional agricultural society and Japanese domination through the period of industrial development to the period of modem industrial society have been reviewed not from the Point of westernization but from the point of Korean own needs for modernity. It also tried to find the determinants of the relationship between social behavior patterns and space organization through historical change of housing plans. As a result, it was found the various western impacts to the continuation or change of Korean housing culture in the modernization process. Consequently this study comes to the concrete results as follows; 1) sociological aspect: The early layout of floorplans, that promoted the communication and contact between the user were changed. The layout of spaces in the modern housing tends to be not interdependence each other and be very isolated from the outdoor spaces. Those Phenomena reflect the trends to the Individualization, equivalence and privatization in the life of family. 2) feministic aspects: Differently from the early kitchen, modern ones locates in the internal space in the housing and the dinning area is appeared. And also the standing work at the kitchen war usually spreaded. Such changes are due to the emancipation of the women and downfall of the subordinate relationship between the genders. 3) anthropological aspects: The lifestyle, in which the user was mostly sitting on the floor, was constantly disappeared by using of furnitures that determines the function of each spaces in the housing. Those change demonstrate the change of behavior Patterns, thus, the needs of differentiation of function as well as the feministic needs. In other word, the coexistence of both fields of work and relax is required. 4) tectonic aspects: In the indoor space of modern housing the rooms are closed each other. Thus, concentrated circulation system act to separate these spaces. It is concrete spatial element that mostly shows the synthetic character of modem housing.

The noticeable vernacular hut in this area is smallest 4-kan double-wing plan which is irregular 전 shape, but they call it single wing and 2-kan plan. Leed which can be obtained easily in thes area is used on roof and in wall. Timbers used in constrution are very slim or rather weak, but they were treated carafully.
