Macrophages have been known to play an essential role in tumor angiogenesis and produce a number of growth stimulators and inhibitors. Thus macrophages appear to influence every stage of angiogenesis. In this report, TNF-$\alpha$ was able to induce the production of IFN-${\gamma}$ in cancer cell-contanted macrophage. TNF-${\gamma}$ alone released relatively little IFN-${\gamma}$ whereas live tumor cells (3LL) alone releasd IFN-${\gamma}$ markedly from macrophage. (omitted)

Two species of small gobiid fishes genus Luciogobius, i.e., L. elongatus, L. platycephalus were described as the first records from Korea based on specimens collected from gravel beaches of Gijang-gun, Busan-si, Korea. Luciogobius elongatus is distinguished from congeners by very elongated and naked body, 42-44 vertebrae, 6-7 dorsal soft rays, and no free rays on pectoral fin, and L. platycephalus is characterized by having very depressed head, naked body, 40-41 vertebrae, 10-11 dorsal soft rays, and pectoral fin with only upper 2-4 free rays. We propose the new Korean name "Ga-neun-mi-kkeun-mang-dug", "Nab-jak-mi-kkeun-mang-dug" for L. elongatus and L. platycephalus, respectively.

The purpose of this research to improve old age for marriage and the effect the development of the program is to validate. This program of eight to 60 years old elderly couple in 2008 was 8 in the 10 weeks. To verify the effectiveness of the program prior to the inspection of post-verification. According to the results of analysis, old age in conjugal relations, the area between the pre-post meaningful communication efficiency, the couple agreed, and the couple satisfaction, couple came to feel affection, and expression did not show a meaningful difference. The study on the future social welfare and family welfare-related practices and more effective old age, researchers developed a program to improve the couple relationship is important to emphasize is this.

This study was conducted to evaluate the inflammatory mechanisms of LPS-stimulated BV-2 microglial cells. The inflammation mechanism was evaluated in BV-2 cells with or without LPS treated using the Affymetrix microarray analysis system. The microarray analysis revealed that B cell receptor signaling pathway, cytokine-cytokine receptor interaction, Jak-STAT signaling pathway, MAPK signaling pathway, Neuro-active ligand-receptor interaction, TLR signaling path-way, and T cell receptor signaling pathway-related genes were up-regulated in LPS stimulated BV-2 cells. Selected genes were validated using real time RTPCR. These results can help an effective therapeutic approach to alleviating the progression of neuro-in-flammatory diseases.

Previously, 13 species in six genera of the subfamily Banchinae and 29 speices in 16 genera of the subfamily Pimplinae were known from Korea. In this paper, two species, Rynchobanchus minomensis (Uchida, 1933) and Theronia laevigata nigra Uchida, 1928 are new to Korea. Also, the genus Rynchobanchus is recorded for the first time in Korea. Only one species of Theronia, Theronia atalantae (Poda, 1761), was recorded from Korea by Uchida (1928). New Korean names proposed for these two species are "Eol-gul-ga-si-maep-si-beol" and "Geom-jeong-nap-jak-maep-si-beol" for the R. minomensis and T. laevigata nigra, respectively. A key to the species of Theronia, diagnosis and photographs of diagnostic characters of them are provided.

An investigation has been carried out on collision-induced dissociation (CID) in the development of an analytical protocol for the determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PARs) by ion trap tandem mass spectrometry. Two different considerations were used to choose the optimal CID conditions for complex matrix environmental samples, namely, to determine the highest signal-to-noise (SIN) ratio and the other to eliminate the background interferences originated from complex matrix samples. The PAR content of agricultural soil was measured to estimate overall distribution of PAR in throughout the country, we collected and analyzed 226 soil samples from paddy and upland soil. The average content of total PAR in all samples was 236 ${\mu}g$ $kg^{-1}$, and the range was from 23.3 to 2, 834 ${\mu}g$ $kg^{-1}$. The overall distribution of PAR was found to be closely related to the pollution sources, the size of city and the type of industry.

Interferons regulate a number of biological functions including control of cell proliferation, generation of antiviral activities and immumodulation in human cells. Studies by several investigators have identified a number of cellular signaling cascades that are activated during engagement of interferon receptors. The activation of multiple signaling cascades by the interferon receptors appears to be critical for the generation of interferon mediated biological functions and immune surveillance. The present review summarizes the existing knowledge on the multiple signaling cascades activated by Type I interferons. Recent developments in this research area are emphasized and the implications of these new discoveries on our understanding of interferon actions are discussed.

Consideration for therapy method and oral motor function character of children with cerebral palsy. Therapists who treat for feeding disorder children owing the regression of oral motor function are necessary to gain knowledge about dysfunction of sensing, perception and cognition with baffling to eat and inhibition of primitive reflex, oral anatomy and function, and motor control (trunk, head, positioning of the upper limbs and the lower limbs and muscle tone). Oral motor function program is a comprehensive rehabilitation program which requires systematized enforcement and collaborated attempts to physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychotherapists. Especially, physical therapists are not accustomed to oral motor program, hoping to provide diffusely and apply new therapy approach method for many areas (bell's palsy, respiratory failure, speech articulation). It will comprise to study owing to holistic approach with clinic.

One specimen of Chirolophis saitone, belonging to the family Stichaeidae, was collected by a bottom trawl in the southern area of the Yellow Sea. The present specimen was characterized by 52 dorsal fin spines, 38 anal fin spines, a caudal fin with four vertical dark bands and an orbital region with three pairs of branched cirri. We propose a new Korean name, "Jak-eun-goe-do-ra-chi', for C. saitone.
