Expansion of Operating Mode of 3-Phase Quasi-Resonant DC Link Inverter (3-Phase Quasi-Resonant Inverter의 동작모드 확장)

  • This paper describes a 3-Phase Quasi-Resonant DC Link Inverter (3-phase QRI), which has two operating modes, ie. inverting mode and rectifying mode. First the 3-Phase QRI is simplified and the resonant circuit is analyzed in comparison with two resonant DC-to-DC converters. This analysis shows that the maximum voltage of resonant capacitor is limited to twice the input voltage irrespective of operating modes. A new simple control method in rectifying mode is suggested, which does not require any other element in power circuit. The characteristic of 3-Phase Quasi Resonant Inverter has been verified by simulation using the proposed control method.

  • This paper presents a new zero current switching (ZCS) inverter for grid-connected photovoltaic single phase inverter system. The auxiliaey circuit for the soft-switching consists of two resonant inductors and two resonant capacitors as well as two auxiliary switches rated at lower power. The proposed circuit provides zero current switching condition for all the switches, which reduces switching losses significantly. It is controlled to extract maximum power from the solar array and to provide sinusoidal current into the mains. The validity of the proposed system is verified by experimental results from the 1.2kW prototype inverter operating at 40kHz.

  • A conventional power supply to drive a microwave oven has ferro-resonant transformer and high voltage capacitor(HVC). Though it is simple, transformer is bulky, heavy and has low-efficiency. To improve this defect, a high frequency inverter type power supply has been investigated and developed in recent years. But, because of additional control circuit and switching device, inverter-type power supply is more expensive than conventional one. In this study, The design procedure of a novel HVC embedded high frequency transformer is proposed for down-sizing and cost reduction of Inverter-type power supply. Also, equivalent circuit mode] is derived by FEM analysis and impedance measurements. And the operation of proposed HVC embedded transformer is verified by simulations and experimental results.

  • A high frequency resonant inverter consisting of three unit half-bridge serial resonant inverter used as power source of induction heating at high frequency is presented in this paper. As a output power control strategy, tine-sharing gate control method is applied. The analysis of the proposed circuit is generally described by using the normalized parameters. Also, according to the calculated characteristics value, a method of the circuit design and operating characteristics of the inverter is proposed. This paper proves the validity of theoretical analysis through the experiment. This proposed inverter show that it can be practically used in future as power source system for induction heating application, DC-DC converter etc.

  • A new dc/ac soft switched PWM convert having a dc-link commutation circuit is proposed. The commutation circuit implemented by utilizing a series resonant circuit while preparing for zero voltage switching of primary inverter. The converter provides both variable pulse width and position which is fundamentally different than converters. In this paper, the operating principles, design and control considerations analysis of a such a soft switched converter is analyzed.

  • The output characteristics of VSI by transistor depend upon bias signal with drive circuit. As the CTI is one of the VSI, takes case PWM output voltage. This Inverter operation is based upon position and negative of sinusoldal PWM signal by carrier triangular wave and compared sine one. Besides, the Inverter operation system required digital signal for microprocessor, sampling method of Inverter driver signals study for get rid of generated signal is error. In the paper, the method of 3 level PWM signal for CTI was studied. This method of signals depend upon caculated switching position of natural sampling with $10^{-6}$ modulation error for time flowchart programs.

  • This Paper proposes a new toplogy snubber circuit of Full-Bridge DC-DC Converter for reducing conduction losses and snubber circuit heating loss. Using Partial Resonent Soft Switching Method and Clamping, studying on a new snubber circuit for reducing losses that a snubber circuit heating loss in the secondly diode rectification side, a switching losses in the primary side of IGBT inverter and conduction losses in the high frequency insulation transformer. In this paper, we present FB DC-DC converter included a new lossless snubber circuit, and then be analyzed and simulated.

  • This paper proposes a new prototype auxiliary resonant DC link(ARDCL)snubber circuit and deals with its power loss on the basis of actually measured conduction loss characteristic of switching device module. Voltage type soft switching three phase inverter using proposed ARDCL snubber circuit is presented along with its performance evaluations. And, the power loss analysis of three phase hard and soft switching inverter are carried out from the point of simulation and experimental results.

  • This paper presents a circuit of the quasi-resonant DC link to achieve soft-switching three phase inverter using intelligent IGBT power module. The soft-switching operation in this circuit is confirmed simulation and experimental results. Its conductive noise is measured for electrical AC motor drive as compared with that of the conventional hard switching inverter.

  • In this paper discusses single-phase DC-AC Inverter design of reversible power converter that driven by binary combination at different transformer winding ratio by BCD code level. It has a advantage that constructs a control system simply and obtain load current of good quality without filter circuit and free from noise or isolation for lower switching frequency. In this research, study on current type converter and inverter circuit that consist for possibility of AC-DC/DC-AC multi-level reversible converter.
