분산시스템관리를 위한 관리 프로토콜에 관한 연구 (A Study On Management Porgocol For Distributed Systems Management)

  • As the size and complexity of network increase, Distributed Systems Management (DSM) will be significant issue within information network in order to increase the high reliability and to improve the flexibility of network management. The OSI management model has several problems. The key problems are that it does not fully address the problems of how to develop communication protocol in support of DSM, and how to classify the management connection criteria. In this paper, to solve first problem described above, this paper propose the connectionless CMIP(Common Management Information Protocol) to accomplish for effectively managing the distributed management system, and indicate its efficiency; this protocol is available to negotiate among the managing systems, handle the dynamic information. To work out second problem, we introduce the connection criteria in the hierarchy of management systems, and finally evaluate the efficiency of a suggested protocol during cooperative negotiation among the managing systems.

  • The wave of 4PL added to strategic consulting based on new IT techniques, for example RFID, with logistics outsourcing through existing 3PL service is a great issue. It is also worthy of notice that EPCglobal network strengthen the role of 4PL. In conclusion, the 4PL system based on EPCglobal network will result in a good success, so it will raise a prestige of air cargo in Korea to a higher position. This study deals with the new logistics system, air cargo logistics system based on u-4PL system, RFID and EPCglobal network, that will bring many advantages.

New Hypervisor Improving Network Performance for Multi-core CE Devices

  • Recently, system virtualization has been applied to consumer electronics (CE) such as smart mobile phones. Although multi-core processors have become a viable solution for complex applications of consumer electronics, the issue of utilizing multi-core resources in the virtualization layer has not been researched sufficiently. In this paper, we present a new hypervisor design and implementation for multi-core CE devices. We concretely describe virtualization methods for a multi-core processor and multi-core-related subsystems. We also analyze bottlenecks of network performance in a virtualization environment that supports multimedia applications and propose an efficient virtual interrupt distributor. Our new multi-core hypervisor improves network performance by 5.5 times as compared to a hypervisor without the virtual interrupt distributor.

  • Energy Efficiency in any WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) is a critical issue to elongate the life of the batteries equipped in sensors. LEACH(Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy) is one of the mostly used routing algorithms which reduce the amount of transmitted data and save the energy in the network. In this paper, a new technique to select channels in routing algorithms is suggested and compared with the LEACH, ALEACH and PEGASIS. This technique forms clusters depending upon the node density as the deployement of the nodes is random. As a result, the proposed algorithm presents the better performance of the energy efficiency than those of the current algorithms.

Predicting the Saudi Student Perception of Benefits of Online Classes during the Covid-19 Pandemic using Artificial Neural Network Modelling

  • One of the impacts of Covid-19 on education systems has been the shift to online education. This shift has changed the way education is consumed and perceived by students. However, the exact nature of student perception about online education is not known. The aim of this study was to understand the perceptions of Saudi higher education students (e.g., post-school students) about online education during the Covid-19 pandemic. Various aspects of online education including benefits, features and cybersecurity were explored. The data collected were analysed using statistical techniques, especially artificial neural networks, to address the research aims. The key findings were that benefits of online education was perceived by students with positive experience or when ensured of safe use of online platforms without the fear cyber security breaches for which recruitment of a cyber security officer was an important predictor. The issue of whether perception of online education as a necessity only for Covid situation or a lasting option beyond the pandemic is a topic for future research.

핵심 정보와 주변 정보의 확산 과정 연구: 단어의 가시성(visibility)과 연결성(connectivity) 분석을 중심으로 본 언론의 프레임 (An Analysis of Diffusion of Main Information and Peripheral Information: Focusing on Visibility and Connectivity of Word based on Network Analysis)

  • 이 연구는 유병언 사망 사건과 관련된 언론 보도를 네트워크 분석하고, 이 사건이 소셜네트워크사이트를 통해 어떻게 확산되는지 이슈의 확산 과정을 네트워크 분석했다. 지상파 언론과 종편을 분석 대상으로 언론보도의 이슈 현저성, 단어의 가시성과 연결성을 분석했다. 네트워크 분석 결과 종편은 사건과 관련된 핵심 정보보다는 유병언 유류품, 브랜드, 시신에 대한 루머를 강조했고, 지상파 방송은 국과수의 DNA 검사 결과를 중심으로 보도했다. 시기별로 보면 1기 지상파는 '유병언 시신 발견 프레임'을, 종편은 '수사 비난 프레임', '명품 강조 프레임'으로 사건을 틀지었다. 2기 지상파는 '유병언 사인 분석 프레임'을, 종편은 '의혹 제기 프레임'을 강조했다. 3기 지상파는 몇 건 밖에 보도하지 않아 분석의 의미가 없고 종편은 '주변 정보 강조 프레임'이 부각되었다. 언론의 보도는 유투브와 SNS를 통해 확산되었는데, 네트워크 분석 결과 유병언 사망과 관련된 루머가 주목을 받은 것으로 나타났다. 인터넷과 SNS의 발달로 독자들이 적극적으로 의견을 표출하면서 루머를 확산시킨 것으로 생각된다. 음모론의 확산 과정에서 주류 언론은 종편의 선정적이고 자극적인 보도에 밀려 영향을 발휘하지 못했음이 밝혀졌다.

  • 네트워크 서비스는 로컬서비스와 결합하면서 생활밀착형 서비스로 발전하고 있다. 생활밀착형 서비스는 기존의 모바일 서비스와는 달리, 위치정보와 로컬정보 그리고 소셜 네트워크서비스 정보 등을 모아 개인화된 서비스를 제공할 것으로 예상된다. 여러 정보를 모아 처리하는 과정에서 빅데이터 기술, 클라우드 기술 등이 필요하다. 이미 이에 대한 효율성 높은 알고리즘이 연구되고 있으나 반면, 생활 밀착형 서비스 모델 또는 빅데이터 환경에서의 프라이버시 보호 모델에 대한 연구는 상대적으로 미흡한 편이다. 이 글은 생활밀착형 서비스에 활용될 빅데이터 기술이 야기하는 프라이버시 문제에 대하여 구조혈 중심으로 다룬다.

  • 딥러닝은 객체인식 분야에서에서 강력하고, 강건한 학습 알고리즘이다. 딥러닝에서 자주 활용되고, 객체인식 분야에서 최고의 성능을 보여주는 네트워크는 Convolutional Neural Network(CNN) 이다. 숫자 필기 인식을 위한 MNIST 데이터셋를 CNN으로 학습하면 성능이 매우 뛰어나다. 이는 MNIST 데이터 셋의 숫자들이 중앙에 잘 정렬되어 있기 때문이다. 하지만, 실제 데이터들은 중앙에 정렬이 잘 되어있지 않다. 이러한 경우에 CNN은 이전과 같이 우수한 성능을 보여주지 못한다. 이를 해결하기 위해, 우리는 FFT를 활용하여 이미지를 주파수 공간으로 변환하여 입력으로 주는 방법을 제안한다.

Novel Maritime Wireless Communication based on Mobile Technology for the Safety of Navigation: LTE-Maritime focusing on the Cell Planning and its Verification

  • Enhancing the performance of maritime wireless communication has been highlighted by the issue of cell planning in the sea area because of lack of an appropriate Propagation Loss Model (PLM). To resolve the cell planning issue in vast sea areas, it was essential to develop the (PLM) matching the intended sea area. However, there were considerable gaps between the prediction of legacy PLMs and field measurement in propagation loss and there was a need to develop the adjusted PLM (A-PLM). Therefore, cell planning was performed on this adjusted model, including modification of the base station's location, altitude, and antenna azimuth to meet the quality objectives. Furthermore, in order to verify the availability of the cell planning, Communication Service Quality Monitoring System (CS-QMS) was developed in the LTE-Maritime project to collect LTE signal quality information from the onboard equipment at regular intervals and to ensure that the service quality was high enough to satisfy the goals in each designated grid. As a result of verification, the success rate of RSRP was 95.7% for the intensive management zone (IMZ) and 96.4% for the interested zone (IZ), respectively.

  • The article assesses the level of navigation safety, in theoretical terms, defines the complexity of managing navigational risks in practice. The issues of assessing the navigational safety have been studied due to the importance and relevance of the issue in question, however, due to the great complexity of the problem under consideration, the article considers and indicates the directions for the development of the solution of the given direction, where, first of all, it became necessary to analyze the issue of assessing the levels of navigation risks when navigating vessels of various types in difficult navigation conditions.
