Ad hoc network 에서 TCP 성능 향상을 위한 혼잡 제어 방법 (TCP congestion control scheme to improve performance in ad hoc network)

  • 무선 통신 기술의 발달로 최근 무선 device 들로 이루어진 ad-hoc network이 주요 issue가 되고 있으며, ad-hoc network에서의 성능이 중요한 관심사가 되고 있다. 그러나 유선망에 최적화되도록 설계된 TCP 는 무선망이 가지는 링크의 불안정함으로 인한 손실을 네트워크 혼잡에 의한 손실로 인식하여 혼잡 제어 메커니즘이 수행함으로써 전송률을 줄이게 되므로 전체적으로 네크웍의 성능이 저하되는 문제점을 가진다. 본 논문에서는 무선망에서 TCP 성능을 향상시키기 위한 새로운 congestion algorithm을 제안하고 그 성능을 평가하였다. 성능 확인 결과 기존 TCP-vegas에 비해 더 나은 성능을 보임을 알 수 있다.

  • A photovoltaic (PV) generator is significantly regarded as one important alternative of renewable energy systems recently. Fault detection and diagnosis of engineering dynamic systems is a fundamental issue to timely prevent unexpected damages in industry fields. This paper presents an intelligent monitoring approach and fault detection technique for PV generator systems by means of artificial neural network and statistical signal detection theory. We devise a multi-Fourier neural network model for representing dynamics of PV systems and apply a general likelihood ratio test (GLRT) approach for investigating our decision making algorithm in fault detection and diagnosis. We make use of a test-bed of ubiquitous sensor network (USN) based PV monitoring systems for testing our proposed fault detection methodology. Lastly, a real-time experiment is accomplished for demonstrating its reliability and practicability.

Control validation of Peugeot 3∞8 HYbrid4 Vehicle Using a Reduced-scale Power HIL Simulation

  • The new engineering challenges lead to a control of a vehicle more and more complex. To tackle this issue, Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) simulation is used in the development of real-time embedded systems. In this paper, the control of a double parallel hybrid vehicle is validated using a reduced power HIL simulation. A graphical description is used in order to organize the emulation and control. Some experimental results of a versatile testbed are given for the Peugeot $3{\infty}8$ HYbrid4.

  • 제한적인 환경에서 동작하는 무선 센서네트워크 환경에서 가장 중요한 목표 중 하나는 자원의 효율적인 사용을 통한 네트워크의 수명 연장이다. 본 논문에서는 이를 위해 동적인 클러스터헤드 선택 방법과 최단거리 전송기법을 사용하여 효과적인 다중-홉 라우팅 알고리즘을 제안한다. 대표적인 클러스터링 알고리즘인 LEACH 알고리즘과의 비교를 위해 Network Simulator 2을 통해 시뮬레이션 해본 결과, 무선 센서노드의 수명이 최대 37.71[%] 증가하였음을 확인하였다.

  • 네트워크보안에서 네트워킹기능과 정보보호기능을 분리하여 관리하지 않고 연계하여 종합 메커니즘을 구성 및 적용할 경우 종합적인 정보보호 효율은 시너지효과로 나타난다. 본 연구는 네트워킹 기능과 정보보호기능을 연계하여 정보보호기능을 적용했을 경우의 연동 메커니즘 구현방법 개발과 그 성과를 측정하기 위한 것이다. 연동 메커니즘에 의한 보안차단성과는 분리상황의 성과보다 $8{\sim}10%$ 증대되어 나타난다. 따라서 네트워크 정보보호기능 구현은 반드시 네트워킹기능과 정보보호기능을 연계하여 구성하고 그 성과를 측정 관리하는 것이 정보보호 성과 관리에 효율적 방법임을 본 연구를 통해 제시하고자 한다.

  • The emergency recovery scheme in time of a disaster or accident up to now has been focused on how to build a backup for the public service or communication network in national scale, also, all the mobile operators have done as recovery scheme for the equipment failure in their network was to make a backup copy of billing data or package data, and they have usually studied only on the backup and failure recovery scheme in the circuit-switched network. However, since it has become more probable recently that a disaster or accident could occur in the switching office buildings, a recovery scheme in time of the failure of these entire switching offices became necessary. The purpose of this paper is to propose various recovery schemes, and by having checkups on many issues that could arise while carrying out these schemes, it presents the best solution for each issue. Moreover, it presents the future tasks that need to be studied as well as initial study directions.

  • The islanding protection for distributed resources (DR) becomes an important and emerging issue in power system protection since the distributed generator installations are rapidly increasing and most of the installed systems are interconnected with distribution network. In order to avoid the negative impacts on distributed network resulting from islanding operations of DR, it is necessary to detect the loss of mains (LOM) effectively. This paper presents a new LOM detection method using the rate of change in total harmonic distortion (THD) of current. The proposed method effectively detects LOM of the DR unit operating in parallel with the distribution network. We also verified the efficiency of the proposed method using the radial distribution network of IEEE 34 bus model.

  • We are sometimes interacting with people who we know nothing and facing with the difficult task of making decisions involving risk in social network. To reduce risk, the topic of building Web of trust is receiving considerable attention in social network. The easiest approach to build Web of trust will be to ask users to represent level of trust explicitly toward another users. However, there exists sparsity issue in Web of trust which is represented explicitly by users as well as it is difficult to urge users to express their level of trustworthiness. We propose a fuzzy-based inference model for Web of trust using user behavior information in social network. According to the experiment result which is applied in Epinions.com, the proposed model show improved connectivity in resulting Web of trust as well as reduced prediction error of trustworthiness compared to existing computational model.

  • In this paper, It has been emphasized of important path access during transmit of node when each node transmit broadcast service which one's of new MANET (Mobile Ad hoc Networks) of autonomy and mobility network structures. It has proposed analysis methods are hierarchical path structure of transmit which experience context aware through confidence to network connectivity alone as issue which can be reduce duplicate of beam forming on networks and maintenance one's of method got to optimized of transmission network that status information of context awareness using ad hoc ODDMRP(Ontology Doppler effect Dynamic Multicast Routing Protocol) path method.

  • In this paper, Ad-hoc network is a collection of mobile nodes without any wired infrastructure. Design of efficient routing protocols in ad-hoc network is a challenging issue. An AODV routing protocol for wireless ad hoc networks one that searches for and attempts to discover a route to some destination node. We propose a technique that reduce the number of Routing packet. Our technique use variable values reflecting the condition of network. This also contributes to improve throughput.
