The traditional illuminance intensity detection method using a single sensor has a problem that uniformity of illuminance detection is deteriorated depending on the measurement position due to the narrow FOV characteristic. In order to overcome this problem, a method of detecting an average illuminance value through a plurality of illuminance sensors is used, but the complexity and detection error are increased. In this paper, we propose a illuminance intensity detection method based on a single image sensor with wide FOV. The proposed method can solve the problems such as system complexity and error increase of existing illuminance sensor. The test results show that the difference of average value is 12% using a illuminance sensor, 10.7% using five illuminance sensors, and 6.2% using an image sensor compared with the reference value using the color difference illuminometer. It is confirmed that the proposed method can easily and accurately detect the space illuminance with improved uniformity.

The protease produced by a newly isolated Aspergillus wentti from Korean traditional Meju was purified and characterized. The optimal medium composition and culture conditions for maximum protease production were ; bran :1% glucose solution =1 : 1, pH 9.0, $30^{\circ}C$, and 4 days of fermentation. Protease was purified by QAE-Sephadex, SP-Sephadex ion exchange chromatography and Sephadex G-100 chromatography. The specific activity and the purification fold of the purified enzyme were 213 unit/mg protein and 27.3, respectively. The molecular weight of purified protease was found to be 32 kDa by SDS-PAGE. Km and Vmax value's for hammastein milk casein were $3.049{\times}10^{-4}\;M\;and\;151.1\;{\mu}g/min$, respectively. Kinetic parameters showed that the enzyme has higher affinity to casein than isolated soybean protein, hemoglobin and bovine serum albumin. Optimal pH and temperature for reaction of the purified enzyme were 9.0 and $50^{\circ}C$, respectively. The enzyme was stable at pH 4.0-11.0, below $40^{\circ}C$, and the activity was not stimulated by metal ions. 1mM phenylmethylsulfonyl fluoride inhibited the enzyme activity by 98.5%. It means that the enzyme is one of serine protease.

Isoelectric solubilization/precipitation (ISP) processing allows selective, pH-induced water solubility of proteins with concurrent separation of lipids and removal of materials not intended for human consumption such as bone, scales, skin, etc. Recovered proteins retain functional properties and nutritional value. Four roe protein isolates (RPIs) from yellowfin tuna roe were prepared under different solubilization and precipitation condition (pH 11/4.5, pH 11/5.5, pH 12/4.5 and pH 12/5.5). RPIs contained 2.3-5.0 % moisture, 79.1-87.8 % protein, 5.6-7. 4 % lipid and 3.0-3.8 % ash. Protein content of RPI-1 and RPI-2 precipitated at pH 4.5 and 5.5 after alkaline solubilization at pH 11, was higher than those of RPI-3 and RPI-4 after alkaline solubilization at pH 12 (P < 0.05). Lipid content (5.6-7.4 %) of RPIs was lower than that of freeze-dried concentrate (10.6 %). And leucine and lysine of RPIs were the most abundant amino acids (8.8-9.4 and 8.5-8.9 g/100 g protein, respectively). S, Na, P, K as minerals were the major elements in RPIs. SDS-PAGE of RPIs showed bands at 100, 45, 25 and 15 K. Moisture and protein contents of process water as a 2'nd byproduct were 98.9-99.0 and 1.3-1.8 %, respectively. Therefore, yellowfin tuna roe isolate could be a promising source of valuable nutrients for human food and animal feeds.

최근에 정보 고속도로 사업계획과 관련하여 세계 여러나라들이 실시하거나 실시 예정인 VOD 시험서비스에 많은 관심이 일고 있다. VOD서비스와 같은 대화형 TV 서비스(I-TV, Interactive-TV Service)는 컴퓨터, 통신 가전업체 그리고 영화 제작사등이 함께 참여하고 있다. 본 기고에서는 차세대 통합 멀티미디어 사업이라는 대화형 TV서비스의 개요와 요소기술, 그리고 서비스의 동향 및 전망을 알아보기로 한다. 1. 대화형 TV 서비스(Interactive TV Service)의 개요 현재까지 대부분의 TV 시청자들은 방송국으로부터 송신되는 공중파나 CATV서비스를 통해 프로그램 서비스를 받아보는 방송(broadcasting)방식 형태의 서비스를 이용해 왔다. 그러나 이러한 일방적인 수신방식은 최근 미국의 클린턴 행정부가 미국의 차세대 기반 통신망 구축 정책(정보 고속도로 사업; Information Super High-way)의 일환으로, CATV 사업자뿐만 아니라 지역 전화회사까지도 참여하고 있는 VOD(Video On Demand) 시험서비스가 시행됨에 따라서 미국은 물론, 우리나라를 비롯한 여러나라에서 대화형식의 TV서비스를 시행하려는 움직임이 일어나고 있다. 이러한 움직임은 지난 ‘92년 7월 16일 미 연방통신위원회(FCC. Federal Communication Committee)가 그동안 전화회사에 대해 CATV 시업진출을 금지하였던 정책을 바꿔서, CATV에 대항한 경쟁도입과 기반 정보통신망 정비를 목표로 하여 비디오 다이얼톤(VDT(주), Video Dial Tone)이라는 이름하에 공중통신 사업자에게도 영상신호를 전송을 인가함에 따라 시작되었다. VOD서비스와 같은 대화형 TV서비스는 가입자가 원하는 서비스를 시간에 관계없이 댁내의 통신회선(일반전화망, 케이블망, 광화이버망, 위성망)을 통해서 요구 즉시 실시간에 서비스를 받아볼 수 있는 멀키미디어의 통합서비스 방식이다. 도한 이 서비스는 음성통신과 방송의 통합형 서비스로서, 방송국, 전화회사 혹은 서비스 제공업자(ISP ; Information Service Provider)에 의해 제공된 디지탈 영상 및 일반 데이터 등을 압축하여 서버에 저장한 후, 소비자의 요청이 있을 경우에 통신회선을 통해 즉시 서비스 해준다. 이와 같은 대화형 TV 서비스의 구성요소로는 다양한 영상정보 및 데이타를 보유하고 있는 정보제공자, 전화선이나 CATV 또는 위성방송과 연결해 주는 지역별 비디오 서버 및 교환장치, 통신회선을 통해 전송된 서비스를 영상정보로 만들어주고 또한 가입자의 요구를 즉시 정보제공자에게 알려줄 수 있는 가정용 단말기 (STB. Set Top Box)로 이루어진다. 여기서, 비디오 서버는 다양한 대화형 TV 서비스를 제공해 주는 중계자로서, 영화, 홈쇼핑, 홈뱅킹, 대화형 교육, 비디오 게임 등을 가정에서도 가능하게 해 줄 뿐 아니라, 가입자를 관리하는 기능을 가지고 있어서 가입자 정보는 물론, 각종 서비스 사용료, 개인 통계자료 분석 등도 집계할 수 있는 기능을 가지고 있다.(그림1) 본 기고에서는 이러한 대화형 TV서비스 중에 대표적 응용서비스인 VOD 서비스에 사용되는 기술요소와 각국에서 진행되고 있는 VOD 서비스 동향 및 전망에 대해 알아보고자 한다. (주) VDT(Video Dial Tone) : FCC가 ‘92년 7월 16일에 인가한 지역 전화회사에 의한 가정용 영상 전송서비스 및 CATV에 대항한 경쟁도입과 Infrastructure의 정비를 목표로 하여 결정한 내용은 다음과 같다. 지역 전화회사에 대하여 (1) 공중통신사업자에 대하여 서비스 제공자에 대한 영상신호의 전송을 인가(기본서비스), (2) Video Gateway 서비스, 비디오 기기 제공, 서비스 제공사업자에 대한 과금, 요금징수 대행을 인가(고도서비스), (3) 프로그램 제공자에 대하여 자본출자율을 5%로 높이는 외에 (종래는 1%) 업무 관계의 확대(합병회사 설립 및 consultant 계약 등)를 인가. (4) Rural 지역(영업지역의회의 지방)에 대한 직접 프로그램 제공의 특별인가(주민이 1만세데 미만의 지방 공공 단체만 가능, 영업지역내에서는 제한없음), (5) 지방공공 사업체에 의한 영업면허의 불요(지역 전화회사가 직접 사용자에 서비스를 제공하지 않기 때문에 CATV 서비스로는 보지 않기 때문). (6)의 회로의 권고(케이블 정책법으로 결정되어 있는 통신사업자와 CATV회사 자본의 상호보유 금지의 해제) 등이다.

Four roe protein isolates (RPIs) from olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus roes (OFR) were recovered by isoelectric solubilization (pH 11 and 12) and precipitation (pH 4.5 and 5.5) and investigated for their food characteristics. RPIs contained 4.5-9.6% moisture, 64.1-69.5% protein, 16.1-19.8% lipid, and 1.0-3.9% ash. The protein yields of RPIs ranged from 50.1 to 56.8%, which was significantly different depending on the recovery conditions. A difference was observed in the SDS-PAGE protein band (25-100 kDa) between the alkaline solubilization at pH 11 (RPI-1 and 2) and pH 12 (RPI-3 and 4). The major amino acids of RPIs were Leu, Lys, Asp, Glu and Ala and major mineral components were sulfur, sodium, phosphorus, and magnesium, which were significantly different from OFR (P<0.05). Additionally, the lead and cadmium content was below the chemical hazard standard of the Korean food standards code. The Hunter color and whiteness of RPIs also showed significant differences according to the treatment conditions of the ISP process (P<0.05). This suggests that protein isolates recovered from olive flounder roes have high potential as nutritional supplements.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the outcome and Factors that influence the quantity of Phoria in the low correction and perfect correction. Also the coincidence with the opticenter and the pupillary distance was a principal factor that influence the quantity of Phoria. Thereupon, this study is attributed to promote the perfect Phoria test. The subjects for this study were 120 persons(240 eye) in myopic refractive errors. ISP/WIN program was used for the data analysis. The collected data was analyzed by descriptive statistics and Spearman's correlation coefficient. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The prism pattern was difference between low correction and perfect correction in the Phoria test. The proportion of orthophoria was changed from 10.0% to 12.5%, exophoria was changed from 67.5% to 62.5%, and esophoria was changed from 22.0% to 32.5%, respectively. 2. The average of optical center distance and pupillary distance were 31.70mm and 31.49 mm, respectively. 3. Among the 120 myopic glasses wearers, the distance between optical centers was coincided with the pupillary distance in 37.5%, and discrepant in 62.5%. 4. For the patients who were coincided with the pupillary distance, the proportion of exophoria decreased 53.33%, esophoria increased 20.0%. 5. For the changing of the quantity of Phoria in the low correction, the degree of exophoria decreased 1.11 prism diopters in the perfect correction, esophoria increased 0.39 prism diopters.

An Actinomycetes strain, MSA-1, containing antimicrobial component was isolated from the black sponge, Halichondzia okadai, and was identified to a genus level by morphological and chemotaxonornic methods. The gray colored spores were oval type with smooth surface and formed flexibilis spore chains. The cell wall of this strain was type I containing D-aminopimellic acid (D-DAP) and no specific sugar was detected. Phospholipid of the cell membrane was PII type including phophoethanolamine and the major fatty acids of total lipid were branched anteiso-15 : 0, iso-16 : 0, 16 : 0 and iso-17 ; 0. From these results and other characteristics described in the Bergey's Manual, this strain was identificated as a Streptomyces sp. Meanwhile, 10mg of pale yellow colored antimicreobial component was isolated by HPLC method from the cultured Streptomyces sp. (70g of cryophillized mycellis). By crystallographyc analysis, HIRESMS and NMR assignment, the antimicrobial component produced from the strain MSA-1 was elucidated as the staurosporine (indolo[2,3-a]carbazole alkaloid).

많은 ISP업체와 서버 관리자들은 자신의 시스템 향상을 위하여 많을 비용을 쏟아 붇고 있지만 그 결과는 비관적이다. 지금까지는 하드웨어적인 성능만을 고려하였으나, 최근에는 리눅스를 탑재하여 낮은 가격과 높은 가용성을 가지면서, 증가하는 네트워크 요청에 효과적으로 대응하기 위한 해결책으로 여러 대의 호스트로 구성되는 클러스터링 기술이 각광을 받고 있다. 또한 클러스터는 저렴한 호스트들로 구성되므로 구축 비용이 절감되는것 뿐만 아니라, 일부 호스트가 고장 나더라도 다른 호스트는 네트워크 작업 분담을 재설정하여 정상적으로 동작함으로 가용성이 항상 유지될 수 있다는 것을 보여준다. 최근 군에서도 정보화 과학화의 열풍에 힘입어 그 어느때보다도 업무의 전산화, 정보화에 박차를 가하고 있는 실정이다. 이로 인한 군업무에 적용되는 중대형 서버의 증가와 1인 1PC정책에 의한 클라이언트의 증가, 네트웍 인프라 구축에 심혈을 기울이고 있다. 그러나 사용자의 요구만큼 군환 경하에서의 정보화 업무를 감당하는 서버의 역량은 제한이 있다. 군업무의 특수성에 비추어 볼때에도 사회의 금융업무와 마찬가지로 중단없는 서비스의 수행과 서버의 안정화는 군전산의 가장 중요한 요소중의 하나임에 불구하고 아직까지도 현실성은 많이 미비한 상태이다. 본 연구는 이와 같은 문제를 해결하기 위하여 NAS와 SAN개념(네트웍기반)을 도입하여 군 서버 구축 새로운 패러다임을 제공하여 업무의 통폐합과 함께 서버의 통폐합의 전초단계인 무정지 클러스터링 서버의 구축방안을 제시하여 군정보화, 과학화의 초석을 다지는 계기로 삼고자 한다.위상변화에 대한 적응성을 높일 수 있도록 한다. Camptothecin is an anti-cancer monoterpene indole alkaloid. The gene encoding 1-hydroxy-2-methyl-2-(E)-butenyl 4-diphosphate reductase (designated as CaHDR), the last catalytic enzyme of the MEP pathway for terpenoid biosynthesis, was isolated from camptothecin-producing Camptotheca acuminata. The full-length cDNA of CaHDR was 1686 bp encoding 459 amino acids. Comparison of the cDNA and genomic DNA of CaHDR revealed that there was no intron in genomic CaHDR. Southern blot analysis indicated that CaHDR belonged to a low-copy gene family. RT-PCR analysis revealed that CaHDR expressed constitutively in all tested plant organs with the highest expression level in flowers, and the expression of CaHDR could be induced by 100 ${\mu}M$ methyl-jasmonate (MeJA), but not by 100 mg/L salicylic acid (SA) in the callus of C. acuminata. The complementation of CaHDR in Escherichia coli ispH mutant MG1655 demonstrated its function.

An 8-year-old male dog weighing 7.9 kg was referred to us for evaluation of exophthalmos and corneal edema of the left eye, on which cataract surgery had been performed 3 years prior. On ophthalmic examination, the left eye showed an extremely high intraocular pressure (47 mmHg), with no menace response, dazzle reflex, or pupillary light reflex. The dog was treated with systemic and topical glaucoma medications. After treatment, corneal edema decreased but IOP did not return to within acceptable limits. Seventeen months later, the dog presented with hyphema, episcleral congestion, and corneal edema attributable to accidental trauma. The owner wished to maintain an attractive ocular appearance, and an intraocular silicone prosthesis (ISP) was thus inserted after the evisceration. Three months postoperatively, a corneal ulcer was detected, but this resolved successfully after prescription of appropriate medication. One year after surgery, no complications related to surgery were evident.
