비정규직 대책 시행에 따른 조리종사원 근무조건 개선 효과 검토 (A Study on Effectiveness of Working Condition's Improvement After Introducing the Countermeasure for Irregular Employee)

  • This study is performed for the investigation of management of personnel, wages, welfare, communication, labor, safety, treatment improvement according to assigned working places(primary, middle and high school). This study is based on the final analysis summarized on the 285 questionnaire answered by employee for school foodservice in Buchon city after distributing total 500 questionnaire. The conclusion of this analysis of study is as following. This report says the reason of this mind is caused by hard work. This investigation says they feel to be compensated with low wages on the contrary their hard working and this caused them to demoralize and increase to give up their jobs. The long tenn vacation like childcare vacation is newly established by present improvement of working condition but this improvement action is ineffective. Many of them are feeling to a fatigue and ill health and the condition of occupational disease as hard work. The present improvement of irregular employee treatment like above cases is not effective. So the rewards and payment shall be considered according to their hard work and the working condition must be improved practically for the settlement of their job without leaving.

고용 형태가 위탁급식 업체 조리종사자의 급식 안전사고 인식에 미치는 영향 (Research on Actual Workplace Safety Accidents and Recognition of Workplace Safety by Employment Types of Contracted Foodservice Management Company)

  • The purpose of this study was to reduce safety accidents among food employees in contracted foodservice management companies, and to help provide high-quality foodservice and assistance. For this, a survey on the different opinions of workplace safety and education by employment type and employee perceptions of environment and safety at foodservice operations was carried out. The analysis showed that among the workers many women were irregular employees. For average age, between 40 and 49 was the most frequent, and for work duration, under one year was highest. Both regular employees and irregular employees deemed "enough staff" as the most major factor for good foodservice. The regular employees and irregular employees thought "high indoor temperatures and poor ventilation in the kitchen area" and "bad work cooperation between employees" as the main problems of foodservice operations, respectively. For satisfaction with the efficiency of foodservice production system, irregular employees had higher satisfaction than regular employees. Both regular employees and irregular employees thought "the number of foodservice employees" as the foremost improvement for safety-accident prevention and work-stress improvements. Regular employees, more than irregular employees, thought improvements in foodservice production systems would have a large affect on safety-accident prevention and work-stress improvements of food workers. Both regular employees and irregular employees thought "foodservice employees' safety consciousness" was an important part of safety-accident prevention. Likewise, they responded that "lectures by the person in charge of safety education" was a good methods of safety education, and "once a month" was the best period for safety education. For the difference in perceptions of environment and safety in foodservice systems, regular employees had a higher perception of safety than irregular employees.

인천항 비상용 근로자의 재해분석 및 예방대책에 관한 연구 (A Study on Cargo Handling Accident Analysis and Prevention for irregular employee in Incheon Port)

  • The port, differently from general working place, is a closed area to execute security, customs, and quarantine procedures. The loading and unloading is being done differently by cargoes, ships, berths, and equipments. To load and unload a lot of equipments and different types of labor are required, in which work flow is very complicated. As above mentioned the port is very unique and deteriorated working place including danger. Now frequency of cargo handling accidents in port is highest for the second time among all industries. The purpose of this study is to propose ways to analyze and establish the preventive measure for cargo handling accidents in port. We have collected 45 accidents happened at Incheon Port during the period from 2007 to 2009. And the result of analysis, we proposed the new safety management system and safety education to reduce cargo handling accidents and to promote the quality of cargo handling in Incheon Port. Within the framework of effective safety management of cargo handling in port, this study will help to revise and establish system, education, and standard working manual with respect to the port loading and unloading system.

병원의 비정규직 실태조사 (A Study on the Actual Condition of Temporary Workers in Hospital)

  • In 1997, in the course of overcoming economic crisis caused by the shortage of foreign currency there was a significant phenomenon, the irregularization of human labour resources. There was no exception in hospital, either. Most hospitals put a lot of thought to solve the problem about irregular workers. Between employee and employer the problem of irregular workers has been raised as a main topic of all. The objectives of this study were to inspect the actual state of irregular workers and to understand the positive effect of protecting irregular workers, recently established and revised, on the human resources management of hospitals. After enacting irregular labours protection acts there were many opinions that the labour rules of hospitals would be changed.(56.7%). The plan to solve irregular worker's wage issues would he carried out step by step, but some hospitals have not examined the plan yet,(81.9%). Many hospitals had a plan that irregular worker's wage would be actualized in two or three years.(78.3%) The method, to solve the problem of irregular workers arc as follows: 1) the introduction of functional wage system, 2) the convert from automatic rising wage system to annual wage system, 3) the incentive grade system according to management result, 4) lower functional group wage system, 5) non-term contract wage system. From the point of the opening medical market and securing competitive power of hospitals, it is prospected that irregular works would be increased also in future. So to manage irregular workers effectively would be essential in maintain hospital's competitive power and improve medical service. The result, of this study were a, follow: (1) In hospital, the ratio of irregular workers in hospitals was lower than that of all irregular workers in Korea. (2) In hospital, the wage level of irregular workers was higher than that of irregular workers in Korea. (3) In hospital, the social insurance application ratio of irregular workers was higher than that of all workers in Korea. (4) In hospital, there seems to be no appropriate and active measures to improve labour condition of irregular workers, yet. (5) In many hospitals, the policy of irregular workers would be expected to revised for the law standards. In this study the actual conditions and problems of irregular workers were proposed and it was expected to contribute decisions-making in hospital management, especially when using human resources.

현대자동차 비정규직의 정규직 되기: 투쟁과 협상의 변주곡, 2003-2016년 ('Becoming Regular Employees': A Variation of the Struggle and Bargaining of Irregular Workers at Hyundai Motor Company, 2003-2016)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 현대자동차 비정규직 노동자의 정규직화 투쟁과 협상 과정을 사회운동론의 관점에서 분석하고, 그 성과와 한계를 종합적으로 평가하는 것이다. 2003년 비정규직 노동조합이 설립된 이후 현대자동차 사내하청 노동자들은 노사관계의 제도적 틀 바깥에서 불법파견 정규직화 요구를 제기하며 현대자동차를 상대로 투쟁과 협상을 지속했다. 이에 대해 현대자동차는 애초 견지하던 '문제의 부인'에 입각한 대결적 태도에서 벗어나 점차 '협상을 통한 문제 해결'의 자세로 이동했다. 결국 2016년 초 6천 여 명의 사내하청 노동자의 '특별 고용'이라는 운동의 성과가 만들어졌다. 이 과정을 분석하기 위하여 우리는 비정규직 노동운동을 둘러싼 동맹/갈등 체계의 변화와 저항의 사이클을 기준으로 3개의 시기를 구분하였고, 각 시기별 동맹 체계 내의 협력-갈등 관계, 비정규직 운동과 갈등 체계와의 대결-협상 관계, 동맹/갈등 체계 사이에서 등장한 유력한 중재자의 역할 등을 통해 비정규직 노동운동의 궤적을 살펴보았다. 사내하청 노동자의 '특별 고용'으로 귀결된 현대자동차 비정규직 노동운동은 그 가시적 성과에도 불구하고 몇 가지 한계를 드러냈다. 비정규직 노동자들의 요구는 결국 '정규직 되기'로 수렴되었고, 정규직 노조의 동맹 체계로부터의 이탈이 나타났으며, 정규직 전환의 결과 비정규직 노동조합은 소멸의 길로 나아가고 있다. 종합적 평가를 통해 우리는 6천여 명의 사내하청 노동자의 '특별 고용'이 현대자동차 비정규직 문제의 완전한 해결이 아니라는 점을 강조했다. 새롭게 등장하고 있는 현대자동차 생산 현장의 비정규직 문제를 제기하며 글을 마친다.

전북지역 학교급식소 조리종사원의 고용형태에 따른 근무환경 및 직업만족도 연구 (The Working Conditions and Job Satisfaction of the School Cafeteria Employees according to their Employment Type in Chonbuk, South Korea)

  • This study investigated the working conditions and job satisfaction of school cafeteria, according to their employment type in Chonbuk, South Korea. Self-administered questionnaires were collected from 401 elementary, middle, and high school cafeteria employees. The data showed significant differences between regular and irregular employees. These factors were: previous work experience (p<.001), type of school (p<.001), the style of foodservice at a school (p<.001), the type of foodservice system (p<.05), and the number of meals served each day (p<.001). The working conditions for regular and irregular employees were significantly different with regard to several factors: these were union membership (p<.01), how they were paid (p<.05), their total working hours (p<.01), and difficulty of using their holidays (p<.01). Approximately 80.5% of the subjects were dissatisfied with the working conditions after the introduction of countermeasures for irregular employees. Results indicated that the average employee job satisfaction level was 2.53, but that there were not significant difference in the level of job satisfaction when comparing regular and irregular employees. The item employees were most satisfied with was having responsibility over meals for young students (3.37). They were least satisfied with their salary (2.00). An interesting issue for future study would be to determine the factors that could improve job satisfaction whilst satisfying the employees' needs which in turn would improve the quality of foodservice.

여성 청년층 집단의 취업이행 형태 연구 (A Study of Work Transition Form of Female Youth)

  • 본 연구에서 여성 청년층 집단의 첫 일자리 진입과, 첫 일자리로 고용조건이 불안정한 비정규직으로 취업한 집단이 이후 이러한 종사상 지위에서 언제 어떠한 지위로 탈출하는가를 동태적 모형을 이용하여 분석하였다. 자료는 한국여성개발원이 2001년에 수집한“제4차 여성의 취업실태조사”의 취업력 자료를 이용하였다. 분석결과 여성 청년층 중 취업으로 이행한 집단은 최종학교를 졸업하고 노동시장으로 이행하는데 약 1.54년의 기간이 걸리는 것으로 나타났다. 경제위기 직후 뿐 아니라 이후의 회복기에도 여성 청년층 집단의 취업이행이 매우 어려워 경제상황이 매우 중요한 요인임을 알 수 있다. 고졸 여성 중 인문계졸업자의 취업이행이 어려우며 대졸자 역시 취업이행이 원만하지 않아 졸업장 효과가 더 이상 나타나지 않는 것으로 나타났고 오히려 자격증이나 취업에 대한 태도보다는 전공만족도가 높을수록 취업으로 이행할 확률을 높이는 것으로 나타났다 첫 일자리로 고용조건이 불안정한 비정규직으로 취업한 집단 중 50%만이 이러한 지위에서 탈출하였다. 학력과 세대효과가 뚜렷하여 대졸여성일수록 젊은 세대일수록 비정규직 상태에서 탈출할 확률이 높았다. 정규직으로의 탈출에는 대학의 전공계열, 비정규직 취업과 학업의 병행 여부가 영향을 미치며, 미취업상태로의 탈출에는 처음 취업한 업종이 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

A Study on Hazard Assessment of Employees in New Buildings

  • In order to evaluate the physical and psychological health effects of air pollutants from new building materials, 100 employees who worked in new buildings were given a general health questionnaire, and the prevalence of their subjective complaints was measured. The collected data were classified according to age, gender, smoking status, profession, working time, sleep time, life style, and length of employment. The results obtained were summarized as follows: The THI lie scale scores were significantly higher among the older respondents. Compared to males, females showed a significantly higher level in the depression itemas well asa tendency toward high ratios of physical and psychological complaints. The smoking group showed higher scores regarding health complaints related to most physical and psychological items. Smokers showed significantly increased respiratory organ complaints compared to nonsmokers. Those with a profession showed significantly higher level of nervousness. The group of those working 7 to 10 hours group showed higher rates of complaints in the multiple subjective symptoms and mouth/anus items than the group working less than 2 hours. Those living an irregular life showed a tendency toward higher rates of complaints for most physical and psychological subjective factors. Those who were satisfied with their environments showed significantly lower scores in the mouth/anus, impulsiveness, mental irritability, depression, and nervousness items. In summary, this study shows that the health complaint scores regarding physical and psychological symptoms tended to be higher among the unsatisfied group, the irregular life group, the group who worked long hours, the elderly, smokers, and females. These results can be used to improve the psychosomatic health status and working environments of employees working in new buildings.

임금근로자의 고용형태에 따른 건강수준의 차이 분석 - 유해위험요인 노출을 경유한 영향 경로 - (Analysis of health inequality by the type of employment on health among employees - Pathway of the effect via the exposure of hazardous factors -)

  • Flexible production system has been expanded to all sectors of economy with the change of labor market and diversification of employment. The unstable employment with irregular work has replaced stable employment with regular work. This study has investigate the impact pathway of the type of employment on health status especially ill-health symptoms experiences. Among the first Korean Working Conditions Survey data, the employee's response data was used to analyze the path way with multiple regression analysis. The result has shown the direct effect of the type of employment on ill-health symptoms experience. Indirect effect of the type of employment was found the pathway via the exposure to noise, high temperature, low temperature, dust, skin contact to chemicals, painful posture, heavy material handling, standing position, repetitive movement of hands. However the exposure to the other hazardous factors such as organic solvent, wholebody vibration, radiation, lifting people, infectious materials were not influenced by the type of employment.

세종특별자치시 중학생의 학교급식 만족도와 식습관 조사 (Study on the Satisfaction for School Food Service and Dietary Habits of Middle School Students in Sejong Special Self-Governing City)

  • The aim of this study is to provide the fundamental information on satisfaction for school food service and dietary habits of middle school students in Sejong Special Self-Governing City. Generally, the subjects had a high satisfaction level for school food service. The boys had comparatively more satisfactory days for school food service than the girls. The most dissatisfactory factors of school food service were the taste and variety of menu for the girls, and the time and place for lunch and the service of employee for the boys. The intersexual differences existed with a significant difference in the irregular intake of meals, the reasons to skip meals, and the eating speed. For the boys, the main reason to skip meals was due to lack of appetite, and for the girls, it was the weight-control. The boys finished each meal within 5~10 min and ate more than the amount the girls eat in general. The main components of breakfast for the subjects were a cooked rice, soup, and side dish in 65.9%, and the frequency of skipping breakfast was high with 32.8%, which was once per week. The favorite snacks for the middle school students were cookies and beverages in 29.4%, instant foods in 24.3%, and hamburger and pizza in 21.4%. The intake frequency of snacks was once or twice per week in 46.5% of the subjects. In addition, the subjects had a very high intake frequency of fastfoods with once or twice per week in 72.7%, and the most favorite fastfood was ramen in 57.7%. The subjects in 45.3% took dairy food every day. In conclusion, the middle school students need nutrition education to improve their eating habit and to increase the frequency of breakfast.
