  • With the rapid advancement of information and communication technology and industrial technologies, a hyper-connected society is being realized to connect human beings, all programs and things via the Internet. IoT (Internet of Thing), which connects a thing and another thing, and things and human beings, gathers information to realize the hyper-connected society. MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) is a push-technology-based light message transmission protocol that was developed to be optimized to the limited communication environment such as IoT. In pursuing the hyper-connected society, IoT's sensor environment information is now being used as a wide range of information on people's diseases and health management. Thus, security problems of such MQTT include not only the leak of environmental information but also the personal information infringement. To resolve such MQTT security problems, we have designed a new security MQTT communication by applying the initial-value sensitivity and pseudorandomness of the chaotic system to the integrity and confidentiality. The encryption method using our proposed chaotic system offers a simple structure and a small amount of calculation, and it is deemed to be suitable to the limited communication environment such as IoT.

  • In the earth more than half of the space filled with water. In that water most of the part is in the form of oceans. The ocean atmosphere determines climate on the land. Combining the Underwater Acoustic Sensor Network (UWASN) system with Internet Of Things (IoT) is called Internet of Underwater Things (IoUT). Using IoUT we can find the changes in the ocean environment. Underwater sensor nodes are used in UWASN. Underwater sensor nodes are constructive in offshore investigation, disaster anticipation, data gathering, assisted navigation, pollution checking and strategic inspection. By using IoT components such as Database, Server and Internet, ocean data can be broadcasted. This paper introduces IoUT architecture and and explains fish forming application scenario with this IoUT architecture.

  • In order to make the IoT ecosystem more usable and friendly to general users, the interaction between the users and platforms/devices and its UX must be improved. In this study, a web-based rule engine system to help users intuitively interact with the various devices and services in IoE (Internet of Everything) platform is proposed. The proposed system consists of web interfaces and UI components for creating and managing rule-based scenarios using sensors, actuators, and external services in an intuitive way. Also, a rule management module for automatically translating the rules from the web interface into Nools rule engine compatible ones is proposed. Finally, we show the usability and feasibility of the proposed system by demonstration of rule-based use cases of IoT devices and external services.

  • To create a personal menu, there are a number of considerations. Personal menus are different depending on the dietary therapy for disease, diet for weight control. In addition, the menu you choose, depending on the personal preference and the season, the weather, current personal feelings may differ. An individual should expect to recommend a balanced diet, taking nutritional status just for health care. In this paper, we propose a personalized menu recommendations System framework to meet such needs. To recommend menus the system receives data of the body's individual circumstances, ingredients situation, environmental conditions, psychological condition, emotional condition and provides a recommended menu by performing the inference using the ontology generated from external application systems. In order to provide such services, Internet of Things (IoT) environment should be the foundation. In this paper, we propose a personalized diet recommendation system framework in the IoT standardization environment that has oneM2M common service platform.

  • In the paper, we propose a system that measures various agricultural parameters that affect crop yield and monitors location information. According to an analysis by international organizations, 60% of the world's population lives on agriculture. In addition, 11% of the world's soil is used for growing crops. For this reason, agriculture plays an important role in national development. If a problem occurs in agriculture due to weather or environmental problems, it can be a problem for national development. In order to solve these problems, it is important to modernize agriculture using modern IoT technology. It is possible to improve the agricultural environment by applying IoT technology in agriculture to build a smart environment. Through such a smart environment, it is possible to increase the yield of agricultural products, reduce water waste, and prevent overuse of fertilizers. In order to verify the proposed system, an experiment was performed in a soybean cultivation farm. Experimental results showed that using the proposed system, the moisture in the cultivated soil can be automatically maintained at 40%.

  • In this paper, proposes a health status monitoring system for socially marginalized elderly households living alone. This system is implemented by collecting various PHR biometric signals and residential environment information through IoT devices. In addition, the company aims to establish a basic infrastructure that can understand the situation of lonely deaths and implement prevention programs by strengthening the predictive ability through data analysis of the DB server based on PHR and information collected from IoT sensors. The sensor consists of an environmental information collection sensor and a noncontact and wearable sensor for biometric signal collection. A gateway is required to transmit the collected data to the server, and the prototype is presented in this paper. The paper has a discussion purpose of policy task for expanding medical welfare service. The results of this study are believed to help expand services to the socially marginalized and improve the medical environment of the people.

  • Recently, as microcomputers and sensors have been miniaturized due to dropdown of their market rates, this lead to a favorable environment for implementing the Internet of Things. Smart clothing refers to a system which can be wearable or portable, and allows people to communicate or conduct sensing. Applying the Internet of things, the role of the server computer is to receive and process data obtained from the sensor. An ordinary PC can act as a server but during the implementation of IoT, a PC has limited application due to a large size and the inconvenient portability. This study proposes a model that allows a variety of functions while implementation with the server from the sensing using the Arduino and Raspberry Pi. If we apply this proposed model, everyone can easily and inexpensively experience mobile IoT system.

  • Autonomous things system is a technology that judges and acts based on using surrounding information by itself, and it is evaluated as a future technology that can replace the current IoT technology. The current IoT technology is widely used from facility monitoring to machine control but it is shown weakness as a evaluation and prediction technique despite of smart city important technology. In this study, in order to confirm the application of the autonomous things technology, a monitoring system was installed on a real reservoir dam facility and long-term monitoring was performed that the measuring device itself judges and control as a facility monitoring technology. The autonomous things technology was confirmed during 19 months and it is possible to continuous measurement in the same way as current automated instrumentation. In addition, it was confirmed that the ICT device itself could to control autonomously measurement cycle according to the rainfall by itself.

  • With the rapid development of information and communications technology, the construction of efficient, reliable, and safe Internet of Things (IoT) is an inevitable trend in order to meet high-quality demands for the forthcoming 6G communications. In this paper, we study a secure intelligent reflecting surface (IRS)-assisted IoT system where malicious eavesdropper trying to sniff out the desired information from the transmission links between the IRS and legitimate IoT devices. We discuss the system overall performance and propose a hybrid resource allocation scheme for maximizing the secrecy capacity and secrecy energy efficiency. In order to achieve the trade-off between transmission reliability, communication security, and energy efficiency, we develop a quantum-inspired marine predator algorithm (QMPA) for realizing rational configuration of system resources and prevent from eavesdropping. Simulation results demonstrate the superiority of the QMPA over other strategies. It is also indicated that proper IRS deployment and power allocation are beneficial for the enhancement of system overall capacity.

  • Data collection is an essential element in the construction and operation of a smart factory. The quality of data collection is greatly influenced by network conditions, and existing wireless network systems for IoT inevitably lose data due to wireless signal strength. This data loss has contributed to increased system instability due to misinformation based on incorrect data. In this study, I designed a distributed MQTT IoT smart sensor and gateway structure that supports wireless multicasting for smooth sensor data collection. Through this, it was possible to derive significant results in the service latency and data loss rate of packets even in a wireless environment, unlike the MQTT QoS-based system. Therefore, through this study, it will be possible to implement a data collection management system optimized for the domestic smart factory manufacturing environment that can prevent data loss and delay due to abnormal data generation and minimize the input of management personnel.
