WiFi-Based Home IoT Communication System

  • Internet-of-Things (IoT) technologies are used everywhere, and communication is one of its core and essential aspect. To solve the networking and communication of small IoT terminals, in this paper, a communication scheme based on low-cost WiFi is proposed, which also has the advantages of good compatibility and low power consumption. At the same time, it has a convenient one-key configuration mode, which reduces the technical requirements for operators. In this study, a communication protocol is designed that mainly aims at up to dozens of domestic IoT terminals, in which the amount of data is not large, data exchange is not high, and network is unstable. According to the alarm data, update data, and equipment or network fault, the protocol can respectively transmit in real time, regularly and repeatedly. This protocol is open and easy to integrate, and after cooperating with tiny encryption algorithm, information can be safely transmitted.

  • 최근 IoT에 대한 관심이 증가되면서 IoT 환경에서 다양한 서비스가 개발되고 있다. IoT를 통해 사물에 센서 혹은 액츄에이터 등 다양한 IT기술을 적용하여 사람과 사물, 공간이 통신을 하게 된다. IoT는 다양한 산업 분야에 적용되고 있으며 우리 생활과 밀접한 영역인 스마트 홈 분야에서도 시장 활성화가 진행되고 있다. 하지만 스마트 홈 환경에서는 인증되지 않은 사용자와 스마트 디바이스를 통한 해킹 및 악성코드 감염 등 다양한 보안 위협이 발생하게 된다. 이를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 IoT 환경에 적합하도록 효율적이며 사용자, 스마트 홈을 연결하는 홈 게이트웨이, 스마트 홈 내의 스마트 디바이스 간 상호 인증을 제공하는 안전하고 효율적인 상호 인증 기법을 제안한다.

  • An amazing growth in the field of Internet of Things (IoT) and Blockchain based smart cities from both industry and academia has been witnessed in the recent years. There are many smart applications such as intelligent transportation, smart banking, improving the life style of citizen, energy consumption and managing the waste in the city, handling home needs are supporting the Smart city concept. These applications are profoundly supported by the advanced technologies like Blockchain as well as IoT in the recent past. Smart cities can be supported by the Blockchain core concepts such as secure, transparent, decentralized and immutable nature. Still, Blockchain and IoT technologies implementation in smart cities are in their early stages and significant research efforts are desirable to integrate them. This review article explores the roles and responsibilities of Blockchain and IoT in building smart cities.

  • 본 논문에서는 가정에서 식물 재배 환경에 따라 설정이 가능한 스마트 IoT 온실을 개발하였다. 개발한 온실은 사용자가 웹을 통하여 원하는 식물을 선정하면 자동으로 미니온실의 온도와 습도가 맞춰지도록 개발하였다. 온도와 습도, 물주기까지 사람이 직접 관리하는 것이 아닌 웹으로 원격 제어가 가능하기 때문에 높은 정확도와 편리함 속에서 식물을 좀 더 오랫동안 쉽게 기를 수 있을 것이라 기대된다.

  • Recently, research have smart gateways can provide additional services through the IoT and Big Data. However, the existing System is number of devices connected increases to the Server, the stability of the network is degraded and data security is poor. In this paper, we design a smart gateway VPN tunneling control system based on IoT to solve these problems. we propose an effective VPN tunneling technology for low-end targets such as routers, and a method for efficiently controlling traffic in real-time in an environment where the quality of the Internet line changes dramatically. It is possible to control the sensor in the home safely through the VPN at the remote place.

  • 최근 ICT(Information Communications Technologies)의 발전과 센서 제조 공정의 발전을 통해 저용량, 경량 디바이스를 이용한 스마트 홈 시장이 성장하고 있다. 특히 스마트 홈 IoT의 환경은 모든 사물을 인터넷으로 연결하고 상호 통신을 통해 다양하고 많은 양의 정보를 수집하여 일상생활을 편리하게 해주는 IoT(Internet of Things)가 계속 증가하고 있다. 하지만, 이러한 증가량과 함께, 스마트 홈 환경에서 대한 기술표준화가 이루어지지 않았으며 원활한 서비스 제공 뿐만 아니라 보안 문제가 발생하고 있다. 특히, 이기종 네트워크, 디바이스를 사용하는 스마트 홈 IoT의 경우 다양한 인증 방법이 존재하며, 이에 따른 취약점이 발생하게 된다. 보안 취약점을 이용한 공격으로 개인정보 유출이나 경제적 손실 등 피해를 발생시키고 있으며, 추후 인명피해까지 발생할 수 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 스마트홈 환경의 IoT 보안 방안에 대해 알아보고, 관련 보안사고의 사례 및 인증 기술을 살펴봄으로써 미래 스마트 홈 IoT 보안 기술의 발전과 적합한 보안 대책과 보안 취약점에 대한 보안 체계를 마련하는 것에 도움이 될 것이다.

Exploring the dynamic knowledge structure of studies on the Internet of things: Keyword analysis

  • A wide range of studies in various disciplines has focused on the Internet of Things (IoT) and cyber-physical systems (CPS). However, it is necessary to summarize the current status and to establish future directions because each study has its own individual goals independent of the completion of all IoT applications. The absence of a comprehensive understanding of IoT and CPS has disrupted an efficient resource allocation. To assess changes in the knowledge structure and emerging technologies, this study explores the dynamic research trends in IoT by analyzing bibliographic data. We retrieved 54,237 keywords in 12,600 IoT studies from the Scopus database, and conducted keyword frequency, co-occurrence, and growth-rate analyses. The analysis results reveal how IoT technologies have been developed and how they are connected to each other. We also show that such technologies have diverged and converged simultaneously, and that the emerging keywords of trust, smart home, cloud, authentication, context-aware, and big data have been extracted. We also unveil that the CPS is directly involved in network, security, management, cloud, big data, system, industry, architecture, and the Internet.

  • 최근, 다양한 정보의 수집 및 처리가 필요한 스마트 홈, 의료, 교통, 제조 등 여러 산업 분야에서 IoT(Internet of Things)가 많이 활용되고 있다. 특히 스마트 홈 환경에서 IoT 장치로 수집되는 정보는 민감한 개인 정보를 포함할 수 있기 때문에 특정 그룹이나 개인만이 해당 정보에 접근할 수 있도록 관리할 필요가 있다. 또한, IoT 환경에서 Blockchain 기반으로 데이터의 신뢰성을 확보하는 분산 저장소의 경우, 지연 시간의 증가 문제가 발생될 수 있기 때문에 실시간 데이터 수집에 대한 처리 속도를 향상할 방안이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 사용자와 IoT 장치 간 생성한 그룹 ID 로 해당 그룹에 대한 접근 권한을 관리하고, Hyperledger Fabric 과 별도의 데이터베이스 운용으로 실시간성, 신뢰성을 향상할 수 있는 Hyperledger Fabric 기반 스마트 홈 Architecture 를 제안한다. 이 Architecture는 IoT 장치가 사용되는 다양한 환경에서 보안성, 실시간성, 신뢰성을 향상할 수 있을 것이다.

A Study on Remote IoT operating time for Fire Detector of Smart Home (스마트 홈에서 연소에 따른 화재감지기 원격 IoT 작동 시간에 관한 연구)

  • In the smart home era, fire safety is very important for human life and facility safety. Casualties and property damage from the fire would be a huge national loss. In this paper, we propose to predict the risk by determining the operating time of the fire detector according to the fire in the smart home. Among IoT fire detectors, heat detectors and smoke detectors, the risk can be predicted due to the difference in the operating time depending on the fire. Based on the results of this experiment, the ion-type smoke detector shows very fast characteristics, so it would be good to use the results in future fire prevention facility.

  • In the background of the rapid development of the IoT, smart home work is becoming more and more important to each science and technology company. Smart home provides a safe, comfortable, high-quality, high-performance smart home living space compared to general homes, and at the same time It is responding to the low-carbon, eco-friendly global trend. Growth drivers driving the smart home market are increasing the number of Internet users, increasing disposable income in developing countries, increasing the importance of remote home monitoring, and increasing the need for energy saving and low carbon. In 2013-2014, Xiaomi launched a series of smart routers and smart home hardware devices. In 2015, it announced the latest product of the Xiaomi Ecological Chain, the "Smart Home Package," and in 2016 launched the MIJIA brand to invest in various smart product companies. In 2017, Xiaomi announced a plan to build an open smart hardware MIOT platform. We investigated the management strategy of Xiaomi home smart service based on IOT. The management strategy was divided into cost lead strategy, differentiation strategy of Xiaomi home service, and AIOT strategy of Xiaomi smart home.
