A Study on Evaluation System Development for Unexpected Scenarios Fire-Fighting Drill (무각본소방훈련 평가시스템 개발에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to overcome the problems of existing fire fighting drills and build a practical and effective fire fighting drill system to enhance emergency response capabilities. The unexpected scenarios fire fighting drill is to conduct drills with no scenarios and draw conclusions with quantified outcomes in real time, which provides the object evaluation system. The unexpected scenarios fire fighting drill is based on the IoT sensor-based drill evaluation system to suit individual requirement of drilling spots. This study also includes drill field test conducted to examine the applicability of the evaluation system for quantified outcomes. It is considered that the evaluation system of this paper will contribute to systematization and quantification of fire fighting drill, raise trainees' safety consciousness, and ultimately increase the actual fire fighting response capabilities.

Development of Bus Notification Systems Based on IoT for Vulnerable Pedestrians (교통약자를 위한 사물인터넷 기반 버스 알림 서비스 시스템 개발)

  • As more populations are getting older, the number of vulnerable pedestrians is increasing, thereby social problems related to transportations also frequently occur in different areas and situations. Many of such problems come from bus drivers who may pass bus stops not recognizing passengers about to board. In this paper, we propose a new IoT bus notification system developed to avoid these situations. Our implementation aims to gain bus service routes using publicly opened data, notify passengers about bus stop locations using GPS information and finally deliver the positions of those passengers to the bus drivers so that they can hardly miss passengers who are willing to board on the right stop. By creating an application, it was conducted by means of a GPS to communicate the location of the vehicle by means of GPS and transfer data to the location of the vehicle. Experimental results show that it is possible to accurately determine the position of passengers even in a crowded race area. The average error distance is 31m, and if the data to be processed as error is excluded, it provides a high reliability as 19m.

  • Since the ocean accounts for 70.8 percent of the earth's surface, the success of IoT technology in the marine industry is to collect information from devices placed in a wider range. LPWA is a feature with a wide range of communication and is very suitable for deployment in the ocean. In this paper, the real-sea performance distance experiment was carried out based on Private LoRa, a key technology for executing the electronic phrase real-name system. A private LoRa module based on sx1276 was developed, and Gateway was developed to transfer data received by private LoRa to the server using SKT Cat. M1. After installing gateways at 599 meters above sea level and experimenting with data transmission and reception at 25 km, 40 km and 60 km, we were able to see that the communication success rate was obtained to be 96.1%. 97.1% and 96.2% respectively.

  • Recently, interest and necessity for the insect industry has been increasing. Insects, which are referred to as the second food, are being used in various fields. Interest in mass production of insects has been increasing in various fields, and the need for research on environmental analysis for them is also increasing. In some countries in other developed countries, automated breeding systems have been developed that incorporate IoT. However, it is limited to be applied to many kinds of insects, and the price is so expensive that it has not been utilized in farm households. Therefore, we have carried out a study to make an optimal system that can be used practically in a farmhouse. Protaetia brevitarsis used for medicinal and edible purposes. It automatically checks the moisture of sawdust medium, which has the greatest influence on the environment of the slugs, which is the third larva of the grasshopper, and informs the result through the LED. Analysis of Keyword Trend for ICT Convergence Services (ICT 융합 서비스의 키워드 트렌드 분석)

  • With ubiquitous computing and network, the concern of government, business and academy for IT or ICT convergence has been increased. In this paper, through the analysis of keyword trend for ICT convergence services from 2000's mid, the efficient policy is proposed by estimating the understanding and concern of common people. In addition to, the concept and development step of convergence are analyzed, and the keyword analysis for the ICT convergence services defined in TTA is performed. The services are classified into smart home work transportation, Health ICT, RFID USN, M2M IoT, e-Navigation, intelligent robot, and the keywords for each service are analyzed. The analytic results indicate that the keyword trend varies in the time, and highly indexing keywords and new trend are defined. To provide the efficient ICT services, the new ICT convergence services needed for customer will be proposed with new IT technology development, IT standard, law management, and policy provisioining.

How the Strength of Parent Brand Associations Influences the User Acceptance of Extended brand: Internet of Things Perspective (사용자의 확장브랜드 수용과 모브랜드의 영향력: 사물인터넷을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of the research is to identify the effects of brand evidence, brand personality and negative factors on extended brand trust and customer purchase intention in IoT (Internet of Things) service. Negative factors include scarcity marketing and privacy concern. To achieve this objective, we analyzed the 269 respondents who had used Xiaomi products at least more than once. The results of this study are as follows: First, it was found that core service, self-image congruence of brand evidence and brand personality has a positive influence on extended brand trust. But, perceived price of brand evidence is not related to extended brand trust. Secondly, Scarcity marketing influenced extended brand trust. But, Privacy concern is not related to extended brand trust. Consumers did not realize privacy because of technological innovation of IoT. Thus, the research has a different significance from antecedent research.

  • Recently, many researches related to IoT (Internet of Things) have been actively conducted. In order to improve the context aware function of smart wearable devices using the IoT, we proposed a noise reduction method for the event data of the sensor part. In thisstudy, the adoption of the low - pass filter induces the attenuation of the abnormally measured value, and the benefit was obtained from the situation recognition using the event data of the sensor. As a result, we have validated attenuation for abnormal or excessive noise using event data detected and reported by 3-axis acceleration sensors on some devices, such as smartphones and smart watches. In addition, various pattern data necessary for real - time context aware were obtained through noise pattern analysis.

  • Recently increasing usage of smartphones makes the Internet of Things (IoT) a leading technology that can collect and share data through sensor networks and wireless communication such as low-power Bluetooth (BLE). BLE-based application can provide operators more precise information on Automatic Door system by remotely diagnosing the system faults through wireless sensor networks and sensors around the Automatic Door. In this paper, a smart device with extended BLE module is implemented which can monitor and Control the system states and faults remotely without on-site diagnostic. while maintaining system integrity so that increase efficiency of time and costs for system management. We can use the results of this research as a basis in evaluating reliability of data between devices, extending communication module in Controller of obsolete Door systems, and establishing centralized monitoring systems in near future with multi-channel Door Controls.

  • This paper has proposed a new-type groundwater auto-monitoring system based on Multi-Sensor Device. The system adopted Multi-Sensor Device as host computer of data acquisition, used Windows Mobile which was prevalent operation system of Multi-Sensor Device. It adopted serial port CAN and RS485 as the communication interface between goundwater sensor Device and monitor host machine and utilized serial-linked multi-sensor design to measure effectively according to the depth of groundwater. We present a design for a groundwater monitoring system based on a network of wirelessly linked sensors. The proposed solution will enable groundwater researchers and decision makers to have quick access to the groundwater data with less effort and cost. Though our design is initially meant for groundwater monitoring, it can be easily adapted to other fields of environmental monitoring.

  • A bag filter collector is a kind of air purifier that organizes several or dozens of filters to purify fine dust and release clean air into the atmosphere. If the bag filter length is less than 5m, the dust and fume attached to the bag filter could be effectively removed by passing the compressed air generated by the diaphragm valve through the venturi. Injectors that are more efficient and economical are urgently needed to achieve satisfactory results for long-bag exhaustion of more than 7 meters. In the case of existing domestic and foreign injectors, a number of blow tubes were dismantled during maintenance, and the injector and blow tube were combined to pose a number of problems, including inconvenience of work due to weight increase.
