유도 가열 시스템의 성능과 안정성 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Performance and Stability of Induction Heating System)

  • This paper presents an effective control scheme with the voltage-fed half-bridge series resonant inverter for induction heating system, which is based upon a load-adaptive tuned frequency tracking control strategy using PLL(Phase Locked Loop) and its peripheral control circuits. The proposed control strategy ensures a stable operation characteristics of overall inverter system and ZVS(Zero Voltage Switching) irrespective of sensitive load parameter variations, specially in the non-magnetic materials as well as power regulation. The detail operation principle and the characteristics of inverter system with the proposed control scheme are described and its validity is verified by the simulation and the experimental results for a prototype induction cooking system rated at 1.2kW.

  • This paper presents an effective control scheme incorporated in the voltage-fed half-bridge series resonant inverter for induction heating applications, which is based upon a load-adaptive tuned frequency tracking control strategy using PLL(Phase Locked Loop) and its peripheral control circuit.   • This paper study on powering characteristic on speed variation of propulsion system of prototype 8200 electric locomotive propulsion system through simulation modeling. For this purpose, it being applied in the field of railway IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) elements are used. Converter was performed PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) control method that is used to control the phase and output voltage, and the inverter was carried an indirect vector control method to control the speed of traction motor. The results of simulation by modeling and experimental unit, we was confirmed that converter is controlled a unity power factor and output voltage by reference voltage. Also traction motor was controlled by indirect vector control and SVPWM inverter switching method very well.

  • The phase-locked loop technique developed in the 1930's has many advantages when applied to speed control. The speed control and analysis of a three phase induction motor using the PLL are described in this paper. In this system, the phase frequency detector (PFD) compares the actual motor speed from the pulses received from a shaft encoder and desired speed, and the difference adjusts the frequency of the inverter that feeds the motor, and excellent speed regulation in the order of 0.035(%) has been-obtained. A linear continuous model of the drive is developed and system response is analysed using conventional root locus techniques. Various compensating filters and feedback signals are considered and the need for addition of derivative feedback is shown. A sampled data model is used to study the effects of discrete PFD output. Stability limitson speed are predicted. A drive was implimented and experimental results are presented to verify theoretical predictions.

  • This paper presents the sensorless drive method for mono inverter dual parallel (MIDP) surface mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor (SPMSM) drive system. MIDP motor drive system is a technique that can reduce the cost of the multi motor driving system. To maximize this merit of the MIDP motor drive system, the sensorless technique is essential to eliminate the position sensors. This paper adopts an appropriate sensorless method for MIDP SPMSM drive system, which uses the reduced order observer and phase locked loop (PLL) to reduce the calculation burden. The I-F control method is implemented for start-up and low speed operation. The validity and performance of the proposed algorithm are shown via experiments with 600-W SPMSMs.

Active Frequency with a Positive Feedback Anti-Islanding Method Based on a Robust PLL Algorithm for Grid-Connected PV PCS

  • This paper proposes an active frequency with a positive feedback in the d-q frame anti-islanding method suitable for a robust phase-locked loop (PLL) algorithm using the FFT concept. In general, PLL algorithms for grid-connected PV PCS use d-q transformation and controllers to make zero an imaginary part of the transformed voltage vector. In a real grid system, the grid voltage is not ideal. It may be unbalanced, noisy and have many harmonics. For these reasons, the d-q transformed components do not have a pure DC component. The controller tuning of a PLL algorithm is difficult. The proposed PLL algorithm using the FFT concept can use the strong noise cancelation characteristics of a FFT algorithm without a PI controller. Therefore, the proposed PLL algorithm has no gain-tuning of a PI controller, and it is hardly influenced by voltage drops, phase step changes and harmonics. Islanding prediction is a necessary feature of inverter-based photovoltaic (PV) systems in order to meet the stringent standard requirements for interconnection with an electrical grid. Both passive and active anti-islanding methods exist. Typically, active methods modify a given parameter, which also affects the shape and quality of the grid injected current. In this paper, the active anti-islanding algorithm for a grid-connected PV PCS uses positive feedback control in the d-q frame. The proposed PLL and anti-islanding algorithm are implemented for a 250kW PV PCS. This system has four DC/DC converters each with a 25kW power rating. This is only one-third of the total system power. The experimental results show that the proposed PLL, anti-islanding method and topology demonstrate good performance in a 250kW PV PCS.

DC-DC 전압 레귤레이터를 이용한 태양광전원의 효율향상 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Efficiency Improvement Method of Photovoltaic System Using DC-DC Voltage Regulator)

  • 최근, 전 세계적으로 신재생에너지에 대한 관심이 증가됨에 따라 친환경적이고 무한한 태양에너지를 이용하는 태양광전원의 설치가 급증하고 있다. 이러한 태양광전원은 주변 환경에 따라 출력이 크게 좌우되는데, 예를 들어 구름 또는 건물의 음영으로 인한 일부 모듈의 문제로 인해서 해당 스트링이 출력을 발생하지 못할 수 있다. 즉 기존의 제어방식에서는 모듈이 직렬로 연결된 스트링이 인버터에 연계되어 있으므로, 일부 모듈에 음영이 발생할 경우 스트링의 전압이 인버터의 동작전압 미만으로 되어 해당 스트링이 인버터에서 탈락되는 문제점이 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 각각의 스트링마다 전압을 제어하는 DC-DC 전압 레귤레이터를 이용하여, 스트링이 인버터에서 탈락되는 문제점을 개선하는 새로운 태양광전원 제어방식을 제안하였다. 또한, 회로해석 상용 프로그램인 PSIM S/W를 이용하여, 정전압 제어 및 MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) 제어기능을 가지는 DC-DC 전압 레귤레이터와 위상동기루프(PLL, Phase-Locked Loop) 제어 기반의 3상 인버터의 모델링을 수행하였다. 이 모델링을 바탕으로 시뮬레이션을 수행한 결과, 부분적으로 음영이 발생하는 모듈을 가진 스트링이 인버터에서 탈락하는 현상을 개선함으로써 태양광전원의 운용효율이 향상됨을 확인하였다.

개선된 동작 주파수 특성을 갖는 차동 전압 클램프 VCO 설계 (A Design of Differential Voltage Clamped VCO for Improved Characteristics of Operating Frequency)

  • As the fact that the simple data of text and sound in early year have been changed to be high quality images and sounds. PLL(Phase-Locked Loop) system plays an important role in communication system. VCO(Voltage Controlled Oscillator) is the most important part in PLL system because it can have critical effects on operation of PLL. Recently, it has been raised the necessity of high speed and high accuracy circuit application. In this paper, a new differential voltage clamped VCO using negative-skewed path is suggested. Using a dual-delay scheme to implement the VCO, higher operation frequency and wider tuning are achieved simultaneously. The dual-delay scheme means that both the negative skewed delay paths and the normal delay paths exist in the same ring oscillator. The negative skewed delay paths decrease the unit delay time of the ring oscillator below the single inverter delay time. As a result, higher operation frequency can be obtained. The whole characteristics of VCO are simulated by using HSPICE. Simulation results show that the resulting operating frequencies are 50% higher than those obtainable from the conventional approaches.

3상 인버터 시스템에서 주파수 특성을 고려한 필름 콘덴서의 DC-link 적용 방법에 관한 연구 (The study on DC-link Film Capacitor in 3 Phase Inverter System for the Consideration of Frequency Response)

  • 대용량 3상 시스템 에어컨은 최근 들어 소비 전력 저감을 위해 인버터 회로를 포함하고 있다. 인버터 회로는 교류를 다이오드를 통해 정류하고 DC-link 전원부 콘덴서에 의해 평활된 직류를 사용한다. 이 때 평활에 사용되는 DC-link 전원부 콘덴서는 전압 리플, 전류 리플 조건을 만족하기 위해 전해 콘덴서가 일반적으로 사용된다. 콘덴서의 용량을 줄이게 되면 회로부의 크기 및 무게, 비용을 줄일 수 있게 된다. 본 논문에서는 최소점 추정 PPL(Phase Locked Loop) 위상 제어와 평균 전압 d축 전류제어 기법을 조합하여 입력 리플 전류를 약 90% 저감하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 입력 리플 전류의 감소로 인해 DC-link 콘덴서의 전류 리플도 감소하므로 콘덴서의 용량을 줄일 수 있지만 전해 콘덴서의 경우 등가 직렬 저항(ESR : Equivalent Series Resistance)이 크기 때문에 발열로 인한 수명이 한계를 가진다. 본 논문에서는 전해 콘덴서 대신 DC-link 단에 전류 리플을 고려한 필름 콘덴서를 선정하는 방법을 제안한다. 필름 콘데서의 정전 용량 선정, 내압 선정, RMS(Root Mean Square) 전류 용량, RMS 전류 주파수 해석을 고려해 콘덴서의 용량을 선정할 경우 1680uF의 전해 콘덴서를 20uF로 용량을 낮추어 설계함으로써 전원부 콘덴서의 크기 및 무게, 비용을 줄였으며 전동기 구동을 통해 동작을 확인하였다.

마이크로그리드 독립운전모드를 위한 주파수 추종에 관한 연구 (A Novel Frequency Tracker for Islanded-Mode Operation in Microgrid)

  • This paper proposes a method for frequency control of islanded microgrid with battery energy storage system. For frequency control of islanded microgrid, battery energy storage system uses a phase locked loop algorithm with positive sequence components for a fast frequency estimation. Microgrid is a power system with small inertia because it has small capacity generators and inverter systems for renewable energy. So, Islanded microgrid's frequency varies fast and large as small generation and load changes. To reduce frequency variation of islanded microgrid, it needs a device with fast frequency response. For fast frequency response, a fast frequency tracking is important. To show the validation of proposed fast frequency tracking algorithm, battery energy storage system with proposed algorithm is tested in microgrid pilot plant.
