  • The aim of this research is to classify intrinsic attribution of 'la diff$\acute{e}$rance images' which are core propositions of changeability of fashion style. The specific questions of this research are; what are the definition of 'changeability of fashion', 'la diff$\acute{e}$rance' and 'supplement' and what are the relationships?, how the la diff$\acute{e}$rance images which are intrinsic of changeability of fashion style exist? and what is intrinsic attribution of 'ultimate la diff$\acute{e}$rant image', 'immediate la diff$\acute{e}$rant image' and 'la diff$\acute{e}$rant image of the trace'? The researchers deployed a qualitative research method providing a systematic review of the previous studies. In conclusion, the 'supplement' phenomenon and 'la diff$\acute{e}$rant images' shown in the changeability of fashion style, covers up the gap between the structural layers through the play led by supplement logic in the subconscious place of la diff$\acute{e}$rance of dialectical frame. They produce styles that have current value and become generalized la diff$\acute{e}$rant images of trace through the play of 'la dissemination.' These images repeat their individual play to reproduce a new different 'la diff$\acute{e}$rant images' and complete the aesthetics of harmony in the state of 'reservation,' 'deferment' and 'postponement'. The images are ready to make history and they create 'ultimate la diff$\acute{e}$rant images' from the demand of different period, and tries to combine with 'supplement' within 'the gap of la diff$\acute{e}$rance.' This process endlessly repeats in the dialectical frame through the la diff$\acute{e}$rant' play led by time and space, and it continuously produces new style that is required by different time and space.

  • The aim of this study is to analyze the intrinsic meaning of housing according to meaning of ritual space in Korean housing. At a traditional housing the rites give a sacred characteristic and grade of ranks to space. According to rites Malu(Dae-Chung) is a male's space and An-Bang is a female's space. At a present housing the central characteristic of An-Bang and sexual division of space are weakened and the space of dead person is disappered. But the rites and ritual space give sacred characteristic stability and identification in housing.

  • Everyone lives in a home. We pursue happiness and the meaning of life through home life or family life. Home life, therefore, has an important meaning in the whole life, But home life can be sustained only through housework and wage labor. All human activities can be divided into two kinds of activities. The one has intrinsic value, the other has extrinsic value. Housework belongs to the activity with intrinsic value, but wage labor belongs to the activity with extrinsic value. In view of home life, housework has primary meaning, and wage labor has subsidiary meaning. In other words, wage labor is only means of home life. We mush not forget that important fact. But we cannot help thinking that nowadays people consider wage labor itself as an aim of life. It is said that we are achieving self-actualization through wage labor, but it is not ture. To tell the truth, most of us are experiencing self-alienation in job. We must recover the legitimate relation between housework and wage labor. Wage labor is means of home life, therefore it is on the extension line of housework. If we achieve happiness through home life, we must recognize that wage labor is only means of home life, not an end in itself.

  • Purpose: The following study seeks to ascertain the motivations behind students' academic major selection and to identify the obstacles they encounter in the transition to university life, with the objective of providing information necessary to adapt well to the university and the course. Thereby, we aim to supply basic resources needed in the development of a university adaptation program to prevent academic dropout. Methods: Between October 1, 2019 and November 29, 2019, a self-administered questionnaire was distributed to a study sample consisting of students currently attending dental technology courses in Gangwondo and Gyeonggido. A total of 474 (94.8%) responses to the questionnaire were received and used for the final analysis. Results: Factors including major selection motivation, intrinsic motivation (p<0.001), academic adjustment (p<0.001), social adjustment (p<0.01), and institutional adjustment (p<0.05) all had negative relationships with academic dropout intention. Personal-emotional adjustment (p<0.001), however, showed a positive relationship with dropout intention. The explanatory power of the model was found to be 50.0%. Conclusion: This research shows that intrinsic motivation and personal-emotional adjustment diminish academic dropout intention. Therefore, it is recommended that diverse postenrolment course-adjustment programs should be developed to improve students' confidence in their choice of study, their adjustment to the course, and their level of satisfaction.

  • The aim of this study was to develop a new efficient strategy that uses the Vector form Intrinsic Finite-element (VFIFE) method to conduct the static and dynamic analyses of marine pipes. Nonlinear problems, such as large displacement, small strain, and contact and collision, can be analyzed using a unified calculation process in the VFIFE method according to the fundamental theories of point value description, path element, and reverse motion. This method enables analysis without the need to integrate the stiffness matrix of the structure, because only motion equations of particles established according to Newton's second law are required. These characteristics of the VFIFE facilitate the modeling and computation efficiencies in analyzing the nonlinear dynamic problem of flexible pipe with large deflections. In this study, a three-dimensional (3-D) dynamical model based on 3-D beam element was established according to the VFIFE method. The deep-sea flexible pipe was described by a set of spatial mass particles linked by 3-D beam element. The motion and configuration of the pipe are determined by these spatial particles. Based on this model, a simulation procedure to predict the 3-D dynamical behavior of flexible pipe was developed and verified. It was found that the spatial configuration and static internal force of the mining pipe can be obtained by calculating the stationary state of pipe motion. Using this simulation procedure, an analysis was conducted on the static and dynamic behaviors of the flexible mining pipe based on a 1000-m sea trial system. The results of the analysis proved that the VFIFE method can be efficiently applied to the static and dynamic analyses of marine pipes.

  • Purpose - Many global companies across industries are paying significant attention to co-creation activities, which enable consumers to participate in firms' value creation process, as a main model of new product development processes. In this study, we aim to examine different types of co-creation activities and their effects on consumer attitudes. We focus on upstream co-creation, downstream co-creation, autonomous co-creation, and sponsored co-creation. Upstream co-creation includes firms' control and management in the initial stage of new product development and prototype testing. Downstream co-creation indicates that consumers participate in firms-initiative activities at a later stage in new product development, such as public relations and marketing communications. Autonomous co-creation includes consumers' commitment activities in the absence of firms' rewards. However, under the sponsored co-creation, consumers can return monetary and social rewards from firms through their co-creation activities. The hypotheses regarding the effect of co-creation on consumer attitudes are as follows. (H1, H2, H3, H4) Upstream, downward, autonomous, and sponsored co-creation has positive effects on consumer attitude. (H5, H6) As intrinsic motivation increases, the positive effect of upstream and autonomous co-creation increases. (H7, H8) As extrinsic motivation increases, the positive effect of downward and sponsored co-creation increases. Research design, data, and methodology - To achieve our research goals, we analyzed responses from 246 samples from Korean consumers and verified the proposed hypotheses using a linear regression model. The samples include Korean consumers who experienced upstream, downstream, autonomous, and sponsored co-creation by firms. Results - First, both upstream co-creation and downstream co-creation with firms and consumers are found to have positive effects on consumer attitudes. Second, autonomous co-creation and sponsored co-creation are found to positively affect consumer attitudes. Third, consumers' intrinsic motivation has a fit-effect between upstream co-creation and autonomous co-creation, and their extrinsic motivation has a fit-effect between downstream co-creation and sponsored co-creation. Consumers who have strong intrinsic motivation are affected by upstream co-creation and autonomous co-creation. However, consumers who have strong extrinsic motivation are affected by downstream co-creation and sponsored co-creation. Conclusion - These results indicate that the fit between consumers' co-creation participation types and consumers'motivations is a significant factor in determining consumer attitudes. The results of this study imply that various types of consumer participation actually improve consumers' attitudes toward products and brands. In addition, our study also suggests that firms should consider the fit between co-creation types and consumers' motivations when they initiate co-creation activities. In this study, we survey consumers who participated in firms' co-creation activities. Future studies can compare different types of consumers. For instance, we can examine the different in different test by comparing experienced versus inexperienced consumers. Finally, we expand this research to user-generated content topics. This attending issue focuses on the mechanism that breaks down the boundaries and barriers between consumers and producers.

  • The regulators of the G protein signaling (RGS) proteins are responsible for the rapid acceleration of the GTPase-activity intrinsic to the heterotrimeric G protein alpha subunits. As GTPase-activating proteins (GAP), the RGS proteins negatively regulate the G-protein signals. Recently, the RGS proteins are known to be one of the important regulators of opioid signal transduction and the development of tolerance. The aim of this study was to review the recent discovery and understanding of the role of RGS proteins in opioid signaling and the development of tolerance. This information will be useful for medical personnel, particularly those involved in anesthesia and pain medicine, by helping them improve the effective use of opioids and develop new drugs that can prevent opioid tolerance.

  • The development of new strategies for vaccine delivery for generating protective and long-lasting immune responses has become an expanding field of research. In the last years, it has been recognized that bacteriophages have several potential applications in the biotechnology and medical fields because of their intrinsic advantages, such as ease of manipulation and large-scale production. Over the past two decades, bacteriophages have gained special attention as vehicles for protein/peptide or DNA vaccine delivery. In fact, whole phage particles are used as vaccine delivery vehicles to achieve the aim of enhanced immunization. In this strategy, the carried vaccine is protected from environmental damage by phage particles. In this review, phage-based vaccine categories and their development are presented in detail, with discussion of the potential of phage-based vaccines for protection against microbial diseases and cancer treatment. Also reviewed are some recent advances in the field of phagebased vaccines.

  • This paper presents a heuristic process-optimization procedure for minimizing warpage in injection-molded parts based on the dynamic robust design methodology. The injection molding process is known to have intrinsic variations of its process conditions due to various factors, including incomplete process control facilities. The aim of the robust design methodology advocated by Taguchi is to determine the optimum design variables in a system which is robust to variations in uncontrollable factors. The proposed procedure can determine the optimal robust conditions of injection molding processes at a minimum cost through a trade-off strategy between the degree of warpage and the packing time.
